My husband and I had a nice time birthday party of our friends twins. The park is huge, well organized, and the restrooms are clean. Our dog loved the day.

Love Chat Park South. When it reopened many years past I was so happy having a nice park near. At that tine I thought one round walking seemed not much of exercise.. In between I got older and a couple of round walking seemed quite enough. Just I can't or don't do out so much I wanted. It is quite nice place.

I love this side so much better. Much more private and limited to the public due to smaller parking and I like that it has lots of cameras. I go here for get togethers and walk my dog. The beautiful scenery and plants here brings the park a great landscape especially during spring time. Great for walks and hiking.

Nice shady area at the tip of the track.

This is one of our favorite parks in the area. The park provides so many options of outdoor things to do. You can hike, hang out in the fields, use the playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts, a gym for parties (outside of Covid times) walk on the track and enjoy beautiful views found only in this part of the Valley. What we like: * There are 2 separate playgrounds with distance between them. It's rare that both are full at the same time. * The smaller playground is partially fenced in which is helpful when trying to keep an eye on multiple kids. * There are multiple open fields which make it easy to spread out * There is no sand on the playgrounds * There are plenty of flat open spaces for bike or scooter riding where you won't get in people's way * The groundkeeper, Willie is very friendly. He even turns the sprinklers on for my kids sometimes. * Most of the families that visit the park are friendly What we don't like: * There isn't a lot of parking. So at really busy times it can be hard to find a spot * There aren't a lot of mature trees so it can be hard to find share * Not everyone wears masks consistently. I don't mind at all if we are spaced out. But if our kids are sharing space on the playground, they should be masked. * People let their dogs poop in the grass without picking it up, especially in the grassy area near the entrance Bonuses: * Sometimes you can see trains riding through the mountains * The small playground which can be found in the back of the gym has a double swing for two kids or a parent and a child * There is a great shady spot with good climbing trees all the way at the top of the track. Look out for critters there. We once saw a snake on the horse track. We also saw a coyote when we were hiking.

Wanted to go for a walk in the SFV and came across this spot on Yelp. Yesterday was a breezy and picture perfect day! I walked about 2.5 miles staying close to the main areas since I was by myself. I can't wait to go back and climb some of the rocks so that I can get some breath taking views. I see that they have a trail for horses so I'm wondering is it a place near by so that I can get some riding lessons? Also, beware of rattle snakes, thanks goodness that I didn't see or hear any, but you will defiantly see a ton of squirrels (not the neighborhood ones) running around, it was a bit much for me, other than that, I enjoyed my walk!

Chatsworth Park South with Jasmine and her amazing staff saved my son's 1st birthday! After a last minute decision to book the park gym due to cold and rainy weather, I could not be more happy! Jasmine helped put up decorations, made signs so the gym was easy to find, and the staff set up the room and crafts I wanted the kids to do. I had nothing to worry about and my son and and our guests were nice and warm inside. We had our party in the "Dance room" off the side of the gym which was great because I was worried about my decor not working out in the gym. The Dance room is pretty much a blank slate so we were able to do anything we wanted. Jasmine went above and beyond to help me decorate. From pinning huge balloons to the ceiling to hanging a big back drop for photos. Everything looked perfect. Another awesome point was that even though our party was in the dance room, we were allowed to use the gym too. The younger kids did some crafts while older kids and adults had fun playing basket ball. I got so many complements about how beatiful the park is and what a great idea it was to have something for the adults to do with the indoor basketball. Thank you so much Jasmine - you and your staff really were our heroes! This park has so much to offer from a beautiful place to have parties, great community activities and classes, to just enjoying the scenery surrounding it. My family and I will definitely be coming more often!

Nice park, recently reopened. There are two playgrounds -- a larger playground with bigger structures meant for older kids, and a smaller playground for younger tots that is tucked away near the back behind a community center, which is also where the restrooms are. My 15-month old son had a great time exploring both playgrounds. Looking forward to going back soon!

From start to finish, the staff was amazing--super helpful, responsive, and made the entire process feel easy and seamless. Getting our permit approved was quick, and when I had to switch locations last minute (literally a week before), they somehow had availability and got us in. I was so relieved and honestly overjoyed. The space itself was perfect. The shaded picnic table area is such a gem--especially on a hot day, which it definitely was. It kept everyone comfortable and made the setup really easy. The park and playground are also really nice and well-maintained, which made it great for both kids and adults to enjoy. There's also a splash pad, which unfortunately wasn't open during our event only due to the time of year, but I'm already thinking about booking again this summer so the kids can fully enjoy it. Overall, such a smooth, stress-free experience. Highly recommend for anyone planning a party or gathering!

I am very impressed with Mason Park, the grass is green and lush and well maintained. There's zero trash on the ground. Also, I was really enjoying that so many people of all ages were here today playing! Nobody on their phones, just people playing soccer, softball, or basketball in this very spacious park. There were excited shouts of laughter and calling to eachother about the games, a sound that it feels like we don't hear often enough now that technology has taken over so much of our lives. I don't know if the park is always this crowded or if it's just game day, but I love this park. Next time I'm in the area with my dog I will definitely stop by with her even just to walk around! Parking is in a small lot or on the side streets.

Not really a hiking spot and might be OK for Instagram, but not for the kind of photography I do. The worst part is that the movie ranch that was here has been replaced by a subdivision. Boring beige boxes of unremarchitecture that have become so emblematic of SoCal suburban sprawl. It is undoubtably cool to have this location in your backyard, but not so great to have those houses in your photo background. Worth a quick stop if you are in the area and a film buff.

What do you associate with the northwestern SFV city of Chatsworth? It's surely that it is known as…read morethe 'Porn Capital' of USA. Even non-Cali residents are aware of this scandalous 'fun fact'. But there is more to this city edging the 118-freeway than just a perverted satisfaction. Chatsworth is also the home to some of the most gorgeous geolithic structures in the Valley. Anyone who has driven on the 118 has seen these glorious rock structures comprising of Stoney Point, Santa Susana, and of course Garden of the Gods. What is Garden of the Gods? Garden of the Gods is located essentially in a Chatsworth neighborhood on Redmesa (a very aptly named street) and isn't a park in the traditional sense of having a lot or ornate entrance. Rather, this entire acreage of Chatsworth is basically one large rocky, cavernous, geographic wonder making Valley residents feel like they are at a national park in Utah. Okay, it isn't on the level of Utah but it is pretty damn good for Los Angeles. After parking on the street, a sign welcomes visitors to the glorious area. A plaque proudly boasts of the Hollywood history of Garden of the Gods: it was part of the ranch that filmed countless westerns on the grounds from Buster Keaton classics to the opening credits of Lone Ranger hence Lone Ranger Rock. Garden of the Gods can also be seen in several big-budget films creating either an African or desert backdrop. Pretty cool, right? The 'trails' (if we want to call them that) vary from light rock climbing to open spaces and from bushes/grasses to sand stone outcroppings. Garden of the Gods is simply breathtaking and you can't help but take a moment to truly think about the amazing-ness of Mother Nature and the age of the rocks. There are several cave-like spots, smooth eroded boulders and stunning views of the SFV and the neighboring rock formations. One can see all the way across to the Verdugo Mountains and the tip of the LA National Forest. I visited the Garden of the Gods with a crew for a lingerie modeling shoot. That's right: I was basically naked here (and actually completely 100% naked when changing). I suppose that is fitting for the Porn Capital? We didn't come across many people (golden hour on a Wednesday in November) so Garden of the Gods was peaceful, quiet and serene. This place is perfect for a modeling shoot or for your IG with various nooks and crannies that make love to the camera. Or perhaps that was me doing that. Be careful though, because there of plenty of snakes and mountain lions who call Garden of the Gods home. So why am I not giving this gorgeous wonder of the world (or at least LA) 5 stars? Simply because people are assholes and decided to use Garden of the Gods as a garbage can. You will come across a lot of trash, bottles, and broken glass EVERYWHERE! These losers also defaced some of the beautiful rocks with tags and graffiti. News stories run rampant in the Stoney Point/Garden of the Gods/Santa Susana area of murders, fights, drugs, etc. Geeze Chatsworth, calm down. I would suggest, for the ladies out there, to not venture here alone. Although Garden of the Gods was quite empty during my visit; we did come across some hikers, families with small children and even mountain climbers with legit gear practicing on the rocky faces. Garden of the Gods caters to a diverse cast of characters. Side note relating to Covid: some people wore masks and some didn't but obviously there is plenty of room here for social distancing. Chatsworth may be known for porn but the rocky topography of the area is much more orgasmic and certainly worth more of a visit than just from from your car window when driving on the 118. Hey you never know: you might see someone modeling in lingerie!
