They also have a great little bar here too serving some fine real ales and also a nice terrace area for when the suns shining. On the upside the staff are all really friendly and helpful. I got upgraded to a premium room. They've made an effort with the rooms to be contemporary (but haven't quite made it). Their restaurant "Indigo" actually has really great food in the evening. Free WiFi. On the downside; they have no car park (street parking or a discounted rate at the NCP near by). No Air Con and my room smelt a little musky. Whilst the food in the restaurant is very good the musak they play is awful and the coffee in the morning probably broke EU laws for carrying the label; coffee. Twas weak. I only stayed here for 1 night when down on business, so every thing's totally judged on that basis.

There seems to be a high turnover of staff which says a lot about the management. The balcony is filthy and not clean my view as a business owner is that if you look after your team and pay them well they will look after the business with loyalty and trust.

The food in the restaurant was ok but certainly not worth the huge price tag, 9 pounds for an all day breakfast that was pretty poor, rip-off. As for the hotel, it claims to be quite a posh establishment but with mould and wallpaper falling off in most of the corridoors it seemed very seedy. huge difference between in the room and out. Overpriced bar, overpriced restaurant, overpriced hotel! Stay somewhere else! But if you have to, there are many pubs and restaurants nearby.

Very limited space for photographers. The sit-down meal was a trifle Spartan, but adequate....couldn't really say that it was anything special. However, the building is very interesting, and the gardens well tended. Not really a venue I would choose.....
