Last time I had my tires replaced at a local chain, it cost more than the tires, balancing, and the bumper and front wheel well repairs combined. I agreed and he went to work. When I picked it up, it drove like a dream. "Ebony" has nearly 130K miles on her, but I swear to you she hasn't driven this beautifully since I got her at 600 miles, nearly 15 years ago. Luckily we were able to find Thomas' shop before he closed for the day who generously secured the loose splash guard at no charge. We were in and out of there in 15 minutes which put my mind at ease for the rest of our trip. The guy who helped us was extremely friendly and did a great job. It's just a little shop with a few employees so we received a real personalized visit. It's the kind of hospitality you only find in small, rural towns. He couldn't fix the flat because the nail was too far into the sidewall. We told him we were looking to hold off a little longer until we replaced all 4 tires. The guy said he had a slightly used one he would sell us to get us by until we were ready to buy a new set. He ended up giving us a great price on it and got us on our way. This was a great experience. The staff was very friendly, the service was of good quality, and they seemed to truly care about their customers. We also ended up paying less here than we would have elsewhere. I would recommend giving this shop a try. I'm sure we'll be back the next time we have car troubles.
