I was actually floored at the way this woman was speaking to me. This was all over my son's sandwich that we had requested to have no sauce and no onion. They made it incorrectly and then flat out refused to make a new one, the way we ordered it. Tim Horton's is going so far down hill from what it used to be, especially in Milton!

I'm thrilled to report that their pasties de nata are absolutely incredible--some of the best I've had outside of Portugal! The tarts boast a buttery, flaky, and perfectly crisp outer shell, giving way to a soft, creamy custard filling that is simply irresistible. Each bite was a perfect balance of texture and flavour, leaving me craving more. They're truly addictive! If you're in the Milton area, I highly recommend popping in to try these delicious treats. It's beside the Real Canadian Superstore parking lot. It has no seating and is take out only. The shop is bright and welcoming. I've never been to other Maverick's locations but this one was good. I was surprised by how good their coffee is! They have soy and oat milk alternatives. The dough for their donuts are nice and not too sweet! It's reminiscent of a old fashioned sour cream dough - which I love. If you have a sweet tooth go for the fritters and stuffed ones. Vegan options are available but note that they are all fried in the same oil. I have already been twice during soft opening week. Had to go back and get another box for family!

I miss the original baristas who graced the shop when it first opened. It's great to know that many of them have gone on to open up cafes of their own. There are more than a few Rooster Coffee shops floating around out there. A similar named cafe called Rooster's Coffeehouse was established at Carlton University in Ottawa and has been around since 1960. There is a large waiting area with both booth-style testing and a standing area. The decor is very modern & aesthetically pleasing; perfect as backdrops for those bubble tea photos! The qq fresh taro milk tea is a favourite of mine. I recommend getting it with 30% or 0% sugar as the topping and fresh taro paste seems to be very sweet on its own!
