I used my loyalty credit to get two drinks in Chatime Birmingham shop at 19:43pm on 17th December 2019. One is regular jasmine green tea latte with pearl, pudding, -50% sugar and no ice, and another one is hot oolong tea latte with brown sugar pearl, grass jelly, -70% sugar. After 5 minutes I got my drinks, I found them extremely sweet and were not able to be drunk at all. I went back to the shop and asked the staff to add more tea or maybe find any other ways to make the drinks not that sweet. The staff only added a bit of tea into our original drinks but nothing changed. I asked them to change my drinks into a big cup or maybe make a new one. The lady said she couldn't change for me and required me to buy another one. I told her it was something wrong with the quality of the products, so it should be the lady to take the responsibility to our drinks instead of asking me to purchase the same drink with the same result!
She kept arguing all the drinks like the same when the shop is going to close, the pearl would be extremely sweet and she could not do anything for that! She also said once the pearl was nearly finished, there would be loads of sugar water and she could not filter it, and she had to put the pearls with lots of sugar water into the drinks! How come if she knows the problem but never want to improve the quality?! If I bring those drinks to Health and Safety Executive to change the amount of sweetness, it will absolutely over the highest amount of the requirement from HSE!
I asked the for the contact of the boss or manager of this shop for complaining, but the lady only said the boss and manager were not in the UK and requested me to search the approach of complaint online by myself with a worst attitude!
I always tell my friend Chatime is the best beverage shop, and suppose to let my friend enjoy a lovely bubble tea drinks before his flight. It turned out the drinks made my friend and I suffer from a terrible stomach with only a few sup! I had to throw them into the bin! However, the lady in the shop insisted not to change our drinks and never provide any other reasonable solution to the problem of our drinks! The shop is going to close in a minute and she said she could not give us another drink because the left tea needed to be sold to other customers! That's so ridiculous when she hasn't solved our problem but still wanted to sell more drinks with pearls with quality problem to other customers!
I have been a loyal customer to Chatime for 5 years and always have the same toppings and slight sugar level with my milk tea. This problem never happened before! But this time, the lady in Birmingham shop made me extremely disappointed with the customer service and beverage quality in Chatime!
I have complained about it in Chatime App, but it has been five days and I still got no one from Chatime management team to response to my complaint. Is it because those are free drinks, so I should deserve the poor customer service and worst drinks ever?!
If you want a drink from Chatime Birmingham, don't buy it before it is going to close! I won't purchase anymore drink in this shop again! read more
