Absolutely wonderful. Steve (owner) and son Greg really know what they are doing. It is a very well run organization. I had my lawnmower serviced there and also purchased an Echo leaf blower from them. They are highly knowledgeable and really understand customer service. In my mind, it is the only place to have your lawn equipment serviced. read more

I recently had the pleasure with working Greg, at Chatham Lawn Mower services, to have 2 of my brand new Westinghouse generators serviced (yes, 2 brand new generators directly from Westinghouse) as they failed to startup out of the box. First, I've called and emailed Westinghouse's support team for help on the issue for over a week. Westinghouse's response, was to have me change spark plugs, lightly tap on the cylinder/carburetor to get the liquids flowing, to adding teaspoons of gasoline in the spark plug cylinder in attempt to fix "my" problems. Keep in mind, I am not by any means mechanically savvy and these are new generators that I've purchased for emergencies. Why should anyone need to fix something that purchased new? A call with Greg, made all the difference. He listened patiently to what happened and what I've already attempted on my own. He suggested a few more possible scenarios for me to try, before I sent them in for repair. Still, the generators failed to start. Greg had his team come and pick up the generators 2 days later. As it turned out, one of the generators needed a new battery, which instead of Greg buying a new battery and charging me for parts and labor... he instead suggested that I go back to Westinghouse for a battery replacement, which I did and received for FREE under their warrantee! The second generator's issue was a "clog" on leftover gas that was sitting in the cylinder/carburetor while in storage that cause the generator not to fire up. "Simple" issues that Greg pointed out and fixed! Throughout the process, Greg was patient, informative and professional with responding to all of my questions and concerns. Greg and Chatham Lawn Mower services takes pride in outstanding customer service and for me my experience with him clearly shows their commitment! Thank you Greg! read more

The staff was very friendly and they sharpened my lawnmower blade right away. They even took it off the mower so I didn't have to. The mechanic also brought it to my SUV and loaded it up. The service was friendly, quick, inexpensive, and I will definitely come back! read more

After running into some issues with my old walk behind mower, the owners worked with me and set me up with a 30" Toro Timemaster. They assembled the machine, gave me a tutorial, and loaded it up for me. Solid guys at this shop. Thanks !! read more

Great great service. Stand behind their work. Have serviced my Toro ride on and backpack blower and my chain saw. Very pleased with the communication and the works for years has been well done read more

Great customer service. The owner was very helpful in choosing a weed trimmer. Very satisfied.

I came in to buy 2 feet of gas line. I wind up getting home and it's 20 inches not 24. 20% short! I hope they don't short you on motor oil by 20% when they do an oil change. They said I can come back in again and get the correct 2'. How nice! There's loads of other places around for lawn mower service and parts. You'd be smart to go elsewhere. read more

If you need a snowblower, a chainsaw, or anything else these guys carry - if you can drive here, this is the place you must go to. The prices on everything are great, as far as I can tell - I couldn't find anyone in the area selling the same chainsaw or snowblower for any cheaper - and the people here are outstanding. They gassed up my chainsaw, showed me how to use it, and when I flooded it (because I'm not very smart) I called them and they told me to bring it back in. When I did that, one of the guys basically gave me a 20-minute private lesson in how not to do that again, and how to get it started if I did. I will never go anywhere else for any product that they sell here. They have earned my lifelong trust and business. read more

I called CLS 45 min before they closed on a Saturday afternoon to see about getting some gaskets for my mower. After I described the full problem I was having (mower wouldn't run) to Greg on the phone, he told me to bring it in and they'd take a quick look at it. I show up 30 min before they close, and Greg quickly gets it up on a stand and sees that gaskets are not my only problem - my carburetor is shot and barely limping along. Greg offers to install one for me in the few minutes they have left before they close, but I ask him if I can buy the parts and do it myself at home. He agrees and zip ties together for me the new gaskets I need with the carb all in the correct order, makes sure I know what goes where, cleans up the surfaces the gaskets will mate to, and gives me tips on tricky bits of the installation. He also cleaned out the fuel filter in the gas tank and replaced my leaking gas cap with a freebie he had laying around the shop. All of this for an ridiculously low price, and none of it labor cost. A couple more employees helped me load the mower back into my car as they were walking out. Got home and installed the parts no problem, and have a perfectly working mower again. Was really kind of Greg to help me out on short notice, everyone there was knowledgeable and helpful, they made a customer for life. Thanks guys! read more

Recently had my snowblower repaired when it would not start. They picked it up, fixed the problem, performed a tune up and returned it in one week. It now runs better than when it was new. The cost was reasonable. I am very satisfied with the entire transaction. I definitely recommend them. read more

Kudos to Chatham Lawnmower Service for having great Yelp reviews. I also had a great experience today, I brought in blades from a small Chipper/Shredder that was in desperate need of sharpening. JC did a nice job of grinding them back to better than new, even explained what to look for on the blade to indicate a good edge. I didn't spend much money here, but sometimes its the little things that count. Worth noting they have a fair size team so I was actually able to wait while they sharpened me up. Nice little showroom to walk around while you wait, the street is industrial and not really much parking. But everyone seems super friendly. Well done guys. read more

Excellent service and staff. Greg took me in on a moments notice, and diagnosed and fixed my lawnmower issue. Highly recommend this place. read more

This place is great, for sales and for service. I bought my Honda, mower here a few years back. They were friendly, quick, efficient, and had a competitive price. They handle service quickly and efficiently, although they (understandably) get a little backlogged when mowing season starts. I've also brought a Craftsman trimmer here, and they fixed up just fine. There are a couple of places that are closer to my house, but these guys are worth the trip. The last time I brought something in, they turned around the repair overnight, and now it works perfectly. You can't really beat that. read more

Went in for a throttle adjustment. Got everything serviced besides the throttle. 120$ to change oil, and spark plug on a gx120

I purchased a brand new power washer. After assembling, i couldn't get it started. I called Chatham Lawnmower Services. The woman who answered the phone was very helpful, curteous and told me to just bring it in. When I arrived she took it directly to a mechanic. The mechanic got it going fairly quickly. The son's owner provided me with some care guidelines for the future. Excellent service and very nice, knowledgeable people. I highly recommend. Chris read more

This is the worst lawn mower shop ever. I need a simple task. Replace 2 mower tires. The lady at the phone couldn't speak English very well nor write my phone number. I should have walked out then. 2 days later they call asking me what I want done with the tires. I explained to them 4 times. Put the new tires on and give it all back to me. Next day. And $36 later I finally get my tires back and the mechanic is using my other tire as a jack stand for somebody else's mower. I've owned a lawn mower shop before. I sold it and my tire changer. Anyway. After I got home 10 miles away I noticed they put one tire on backwards. They are directional lug tires. Not complicated. But too late for me. Then I noticed that are too round and tearing up my lawn. They inflated them 3 times higher than the tire says! If they can mess up every aspect of changing a tire no one should trust them for anything! read more

This is the go to place for all your outdoor power equipment. The owner Scott is a stand up man who won't try and up-sell you on whatever it is you're looking for. They stand behind and service everything they sell, plus their pricing is as competitive as you could expect. The service department is top notch. Over the years I've purchased a snowblower, lawnmower, backpack blower, hand held blower, string trimmer and shrub trimmer. If i need anything else in the future i'll buy it there. Based on the acorns falling this year, you better get that snowblower quick before they sell out. read more

Great team, great service. I had a snowblower with a flat, and Scott talked me through getting the tire off the machine, then fixed it while I waited. I have purchased blowers, edgers, from them, and had mowers and shredders serviced. read more

They "repaired" my snow thrower in July. Comes November, I find it is not working well. Clearly they have an obligation to address the problem quickly, but they quoted 5 to 6 week turnaround. Fool me once, shame on you. read more

The worst service I have ever had. Asked them to pick up ride on mower. They left me hanging for 3 months and then tried turning it around and blamed me that the mower to old and that I should pay someone to cut my lawn. Scott was very rude and unprofessional. read more

Small little place and you may be intimidated to walk in. But don't be. Super nice people who will help you and send you on your way with your equipment ready to go. Don't expect repairs to be completed anytime soon. We have waited months for hedge clippers to be sharpened. And recently had a recall on a snow blower that has been sitting there for weeks and still hasn't been touched. Seems my work in never a priority for this company. read more

Great customer service that is not common! Scott and his son Greg went above and beyond to get me a snowblower repaired before a storm. Also did a great repair - ran better than when it was brand new - and both Scott and Greg made sure to give to give me tips on keeping it running at top shape. REAL, honest, neighborhood customer service, and I was first-time customer without a big ticket repair. Couldn't be happier. Happy to recommend. read more
