This is really the nicest nursery I've been to thus far, perhaps because it feels intimate and beautiful (versus sprawling). I could walk the grounds rather than riding in a golf cart, and the selection of trees and plants is still quite varied. Inside, they also have donuts, fruits, vegetables, preserves, and other goodies. I didn't buy anything, but I will definitely go back to make a purchase at some point.

They have the best pies in the area so I come here a lot. Of the selection we absolutely love the peach and though I'm not a fan of cherry pie, my guests devoured it and even I enjoyed it. Dreyers makes fresh cinnamon sugar and powdered donuts on the weekends and they come out nice and hot. They also have local farm to table food items like Nicola's fresh pasta and honey from a local bee farm. Fresh milk comes in and they have produce too. In the freezer is organic meat from D'artagnan farm. The nursery has healthy plants too.

Nice variety of items including a whole gluten free sweets fridge! The premade items are on the higher side but worth the quality. Don't leave without donuts!

Beautiful shop and farmers market! We stopped for the cider doughnuts and pie. Beautiful produce and flowers too.

I really love this place! They have a large variety of plants and flowers that are reasonably priced. They also sell home baked goods. The chocolate chip cookies are my favorite! I usually make it a point to stop by when I'm in the area. I bought pansies here last month and they are all thriving.

This place is awesome! We got a bunch of plants/herbs for the garden and some baked goods. Plants/Herbs - Reasonably priced. The thing that stood out to me - when we went, we asked where the tomato plants were. They told us they didn't put it out yet because it's still too cold and they know it will not succeed in home gardens yet. This right here is the difference between a local place and a mega garden store. They actually care about you! Baked goods - Oh man oh man oh man. We had the pie and the apple donuts the first time. SO GOOD. There's a lot of options if you like pie, so come craving pie. We went back the next week to get the Blueberry Buckle. It tasted like a blueberry muffin. Loved it all.

This is such a lovely place in Cranford. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Once, we purchased a tree with them that started to wilt rather quickly and called them up to say so. We figured they would advise us on what might've gone wrong and we could come in to buy another. Instead, they sent out a young man out to our house to come look at where we planted the tree specifically. He told us exactly what we could do to make it successful the second time around and they gave us another tree no charge. So incredibly sweet. Also, the whole place has such a deep history infused in the town! The previous owner was even mayor for a while if I remember correctly! They also recently loaned some trees to be displayed downtown to brighten up the streets during quarantine. Their homemade cinnamon donuts are to die for and we've always been happy with the produce purchased here. This is one establishment I'm always thrilled to give my business to.

It's just a wonderful gem of a place. They have fresh produce, plants, and foooood!!! We came there specifically for the apple cider doughnuts and they did not disappoint. I love watching the doughnuts being made. It makes my inner fat kid happy. We also bought whoopie pies, peach melba toast, ice cream, eggs, grass fed beef, mozzarella, and a peach pie of course. The eggs - you could tell they were high quality. Well, everything is so wonderful and tasty here. Probably the happiest place in New Jersey! I'll be back! :-)

Dreyers pretty much offers it all. You can get farm fresh produce, meats, cheese, dairy, bread and tons of baked goods.. just to name a few. Their products are high quality and delicious. I am so happy with their CSA program as well.

New to the neighborhood and had been meaning to stop by and we finally did!…read more It was after dinner time so I didn't ask about the food in the back - but I hear the sandwiches here are great so I'll probably go for one eventually after I figure out what we can have, if anything. The place has its own ample parking lot and is quite cute. It is small though and has some fresh produce, dairy, and pantry items at the front, but nothing extensive. Having said that, they had bags of allergen-friendly bread crumbs made without eggs (we haven't seen this before anywhere) which I purchased for my kid with multiple food allergies. Towards the middle, there are baked goods.. cookies, cakes, bread, pies. Something to note: everything has a sticker with "Tom The Green Grocer" on them (or other stickers if it's not made there... I'm assuming the items with their sticker means they're made there) but there are no ingredients listed at all. No names either and if there are, it's generic like "assorted cookies" and the pies had the name written on the boxes (peach, forest fruit, mixed berry, blueberry crumble, apple crumble, pumpkin - off the top of my head). I ended up buying a peach pie for just under $25 each. At the back of the store, there are the prepared foods, cake slices, and sandwich counter. My daughter was eyeing the Oreo cake slices but I didn't get one for her on this trip. The slices are not equally sized and wrapped in cellophane; I noticed some are slightly bigger than others. I'm sure I'll get one for her eventually and I'll report back on that once I do. I'm under the impression a lot of people that go there are regulars. The employees there are... there somewhere (they sort of blend in... I didn't really notice a uniform). We weren't greeted when we came in and weren't asked if we needed any help. It might be because they didn't know, since the cash register has the cashier facing away from the door, but as we walked around, it seemed like people became sparse. Service was lackluster and I don't actually recall a smile. Luckily, when I finally grabbed what I was planning on buying, a new employee was manning the cash register. She answered questions with direct answers, no elaboration. I'm still not sure if the answers were adequate, haha. I had asked what was in the Forest Fruit Pie and she mentioned blueberries and strawberries. Then I asked what was in the Wild Berry Pie and she said "berries." I sort of gave up on it after that and just checked out. An intriguing little neighborhood food-centric shop. I wish they listed out the ingredients on all their baked goods and prepared food and they were a little friendlier and helpful. Even so, I'm sure I'll return again to ask my detailed questions to see if we can have any of their sandwiches. Note: the peach pie we got was quite good and yielded 8, decent sized slices. It was glued to the pie pan (I believe the filling bubbled through and got between the pie and the pan) so none of our slices are whole since we need to scrape the bottom out, but they aren't too sweet, the filling doesn't taste artificial, and the crust is nice and flaky/tender. I'm hoping the fact it was stuck to the pan is a one off and they usually aren't like this. The next time I get a craving for pie, I'll go back for round two and I'll be sure to note whether or not that one is stuck to the pan.

Good luck to new owners! Would like to see more cooked…read morevegetables on the menu and less repetition of familiar dishes.

The prices were competitive for what we had ordered. We placed our order in February, and they were happy to hold the order for us since we were targeting an April/May renovation.
