I've had a problem with at least one vent sweating profusely during hot, humid weather. I had multiple HVAC companies turn me down to even come look at it. I finally got a HVAC company company to come out to my house, but they didn't listen to my suggestions or concerns, and instead charged me $89 to tell me "the sweating vent you have is probably caused by your filter". Spoiler alert: it wasn't. Whereas, Tamar listened to what I asked, solved the problem, and offered helpful suggestions. They are my new go-to HVAC guys!

So yes, had I gone with that company, it would have cost me $2300. Armed with this information, I posted pictures and exactly what the "diagnosis" said and asked for emailed quotes...to be clear I said EMAIL only. I then got no less than 10 phone calls saying "please give us a call so we can talk about your situation. Some called more than once. Lakeland Heating and Cooling (Jason) was nothing like that... $1270 flat rate to replace the water heater. Yes, thats how he replied in his email.. as I requested. I did get some quotes from a few companies but decided to use Addit Heating & Air Conditioning. They provided me with some quotes and also mentioned a special rebate that NIPSCO (the utility company in my area) had. None of the other companies mentioned this special rebate. Addit Heating and & Air Conditioning went above and beyond !! I was able to purchase the Seer 16 unit (their price was a bit less than what the other companies I got quotes from offered.) And the Seer 16 is much more energy efficient! The staff at Addit came out and got everything installed. Also they helped me with the rebate form I needed to fill out and submit to get the rebate. I highly recommend Addit Heating & Air Conditioning !!
