Stacy, the owner of Chatham Cab, renewed my faith in Savannah taxi service. He arrived on time and provided a wonderful ride. when I recently needed a early morning ride to the airport. Knowing cabs were surprisingly hard to come by in Savannah, I began to make a reservation the day before. I checked reviews of some of the companies recommended, but they were not good. Chatham had the best, but I was still skeptical especially after getting a recording twice. HOWEVER, without even leaving a message, Stacy called me back to set up an appointment. A big conference and the food and wine festival had just ended so his lines had been busy. I half jokingly (well honestly more than half) quizzed him on his reliability. We made the appointment, but I told him I would be calling in the early a.m. to make sure. A lovely women promptly answered phone confirmed my times giving me more assurance. Right on time a nice van pulled up and out came a smiling Stacy himself. During the easy trip to the airport, Stacy told me he and his wife (the lovely lady on the phone) had started the company several years ago. I cannot say enough good things about this cab company. I called a few days before I was visiting the Savannah area. I was able to schedule a van to pick up 7 people on Tybee Island and drive us to Savannah for dinner/night out. Michelle arrived right on time! She was so friendly and I applaud her for getting our rowdy group to our destination safely. They told us the price when I originally made the reservation and that's the same price we were charged. At the end of the night we called her and she picked us up within 10 minutes. Now our group was even louder and Michele didn't miss a beat! I woke up the next morning and realized I was missing my wallet! Which is quite inconvenient because I had a flight out later that day. I text the cab driver in the off chance that maybe I dropped it in the cab but assuming I will never see it again and imagining what dealing with TSA will be like without a valid ID. Within minutes the owner, Stacy, calls me to let me know he has it! He offered to meet me and return it. Not only were my ID and credit card there but also my cash! Chatham Cab is #1 in my opinion. We had the pleasure of riding with Chatham three times over the four days we were in Savannah, visiting from New Jersey. Stacy (the owner) was right there to meet us at baggage claim on Friday as we disembarked our flight from NJ. A quick, reliable, fixed price to downtown. No worry, no fuss. The car was clean and comfortable. On Saturday, we were treated to a half-day tour of sites near Savannah. Stacy took us to a 600-year-old tree he described as spiritual for him (us, too!). As we visited Wormsloe, Bonaventure Cemetary and other sites, he was a fount of knowledge, giving us all kinds of trivia and info as we went along. He was so caring with our elderly friend, too, gently helping her in and out of the car, holding her hand while we were walking. A true gentleman! And he was right on time to pick us up on Monday to bring us back to the airport. We left knowing we had made a new friend. This is our new car service when we visit town. read more

This is the cab company to use. I visited from NY and wish we had a cab company like this. Stacey and Michelle are married and they are the owners. A husband and wife duo : ). they were the nicest people and their cabs were not only clean but smelled great. They were always on time and were so nice to talk to, I didnt even want to get out of the cab. My friend and I liked them so much that we used them for the rest of our trip. He took us on a tour to the places we wanted to see. He was the best tour guide and it was such a pleasure. When I visit again I will be sure to use them. To be honest after my experience I would like to just keep in touch with them whether I visit or not : )... I called Chatham Cab to schedule an early morning trip to the airport. Stacy (the owner) answered the phone. He said there was no problem with a 4:30am pickup. I explained that I had called another company for my last trip and they showed up 45 minutes late and I almost missed my flight. He assured me, they would be on time. The next morning, as I was finishing up my items around the house, I noticed Chatham Cab was already in front of the house. It was 4:10 am. It was Stacy! He took my bags from the front porch and we were on our way. Stacy was very personable and we chatted all the way to the airport. Our driver Stacy was very prompt and waiting on me by the baggage claim with a sign with my name on it. I travel frequently and have NEVER before been greeted by a Cab Company in this manner. Stacy was waiting at baggage with a sign and a welcoming smile. He assisted us with our luggage and walked us to his well kept SUV. From a safety standpoint, he comfortably negotiated holiday traffic for a smooth ride into beautiful Savannah. We were so pleased, we scheduled a return trip with him as well. Several days later, Stacy showed up at our hotel at the prescribed time for the return trip to the airport. My husband and I are seasoned travelers. I have to admit, I did not actually use this cab service, but I had to give them props for what they did. I called the number at almost 9PM and the owner Stacy answered me. I told him I was coming to Savannah for my best friend's 21st birthday and we wanted to know if it would be cheaper to stay in the Historic District and not have to use a cab or to stay in Midtown where the hotels are much cheaper and use a cab to get to the riverfront. Even though it meant not getting my business, he told me that it would be smarter in our case to stay in the historic district. I've known this man for ten minutes and I can already tell that on any stay in Savannah, whenever I need a cab, there is no one I would trust more. With my tendency toward six inch heels, we'll probably be giving him a call, anyway. read more

Incredible! I called the morning of our trip to Savannah in desperate search of a cab company with a car seat as my husband and I were traveling with our 14 month old daughter. Chatham Cab has 3 different options available (infant, toddler and booster)! Stacy was waiting for us with our name on a sign when we arrived in Savannah. What a breathe of fresh air after a long day of travel! Nicest guy! He waited with us as we waited for our baggage and even sang to our daughter (he has an amazing voice!) The ride was filled with pleasant conversation in a clean car. He gave us some "must sees" while in Savannah and scheduled a return trip to the airport with us. I was searching for a cab company that could pick my family up from the Savannah Amtrak station and take us to our hotel in the downtown Savannah historic district and Chatham Cab came up. I'm so glad I listened to the reviews! Michelle was there waiting for us on the evening our train arrived. And I might add that the train was late. Stacy picked us up at 6 am a few days later when we needed to depart. I was a little worried that maybe the cab wouldn't show up being it was so early but no, there was Stacy at 5:58 (he caught me checking my phone, lol). I would highly recommend Chatham Cab. My son attends SCAD and I needed a cab company to pick him up at 5:45 am to catch a flight so he could make it to his sister's wedding the same day. Needless to say, he overslept and I was frantically calling and recalling him to make sure he got up. Stacy called me at 5:50 and said my son was not at the pickup spot. He could have cancelled the trip and went on his way...but he called Michelle and she went to the security gate and gave her phone to the guard so I could speak with him. They woke up my son and Michelle got him to the airport just in time. They care about more than the fare and I would not use anyone else. A reliable, friendly, clean car service. We were treated to driving with Stacy, the company's owner this weekend when we visited from New Jersey. He drives and cares for our 92 year old friend who we had come to see. His gentle care of her was wonderful to see, above and beyond the definition of car service. And he took excellent care of us, meeting us at the airport, showing us the city and some favorite spots on a driving tour, and finally showing up exactly on time to take us back to the airport, His humor, knowledge of the city, and excellent driving skills made our visit perfect. Prompt, Professional & Personal! I received excellent customer service having placed an online reservation request and received a confirmation call within minutes. I scheduled a private driver from Savannah Airport to Beaufort, SC. My flight ended up getting delayed yet they were on top of the flight status and were at the airport sign in hand waiting for me in baggage claim. Luggage retrieved and placed in vehicle for me. Truly felt like a friend picking me up from the airport with the friendly conversation the entire drive. I highly recommend them for any car service needs. Before leaving home, I arranged via email through their website to have Chatham Cab pick us up at Savannah airport. When we arrived in Savannah, Stacy, the owner of Chatham Cab, was waiting for us in baggage claim. He was holding up a sign with my name on it. He took all of our bags off of the baggage carousel and brought them to the car. We didn't have to do a thing! We had delightful conversation and laughter on the 20 minute ride to the hotel. Stacy took us back to the airport when it was time to go home. He sang Happy Birthday to me on that trip. What a beautiful voice and person. I've been using Chatham Cab since 2012, wouldn't even consider another company or an unknown Uber driver. Stacy and Michelle are hands on owners and their professionalism is reflected when you call the office, in their fleet and their drivers. The cabs are always clean, rates are reasonable and the drivers are courteous, prompt and on time. Wonderful cab service! We scheduled a pickup at Savannah/Hilton Head airport and the driver was waiting as we got to baggage claim-holding a sign with our name! She gave us great ideas on places to see and restaurants for good food during our stay. We scheduled for pickup to return to the airport and once again the cab was exactly on time with another warm and friendly driver. Turns out they are a husband and wife team in this small business! Portable Wheelchair Accessible! My husband is in a wheelchair. We called this company about 10 different times in 3 days! All of their vehicles are minivans. They don't have ramps, but their minivans have plenty of room for your wheelchair (folded up)! There's nothing to think about (or worry about)! They'll help you get in and out of the wheelchair and their vehicle! Stacy, Michelle and Melanie are all soooo nice. We had great conversations with each of them!
