Jaël in examination room.
Vanessa F.

First visit. Was able to get an appointment the very next day, first thing. Very accommodating from front of the house and back of the house. Jaël was given a bandana that was sprayed with a calming solution for her nerves. EVERYONE is welcoming and gentle with her. She was seen immediately. They had already obtained her record from her previous provider. She was spoiled with treats and babied. Super attentive and caring. Was a bit more expensive than her previous vet in Texas. Would still highly recommend.

We are new to this hospital. I had my service dog's records because we moved to the area. Unfortunately before having a chance of a wellness visit, we needed to put our baby to sleep. Everyone, front desk-to-techs-to-doctor. I was heartbroken. They were so supportive. 2 days after, I received a card from them. Sweet right? Yes! But, read the card that the doctor hand wrote to me. This was a beautiful act of Kindness. Not knowing me, my husband and our baby, it was very touching. When the day comes, where we are ready to add to our lives, we will absolutely use this animal hospital.

Dr. Nix and her staff were incredibly compassionate, respectful and attentive to our little "Angel Girl" - who was called home on August 27, 2019. My family and I will always be grateful to the wonderful staff at Chateau Vet. Hsp; especially to Dr. Nix - for her compassion and guidance during that extremely difficult time. Thank you!

I've brought my 12-year old cat here twice and had excellent experiences both times. I appreciate how user friendly their app is, and I enjoyed getting cards and emails from the office after Lola's visit checking up on her progress. They are gentle with Lola, they took their time to listen to everything I'd noticed and to carefully look at her issues. I'll definitely bring Lola back here for any issues and regular checkups.

Growing up, my parents would bring our childhood animals to Dr. Tosh including multiple dogs and even a guinea pig. Now that I have my own dog, we chose to bring him to this vet. Each time we visited, the staff would happily greet both us and the animal as we came in. It's a smaller clinic so there is no sign in form, after the first few visits the staff knows the animals and people. There are complimentary refreshments in the waiting area however every time I've gone I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes to see the doctor. The front staff is so patient and kind. We've had some crazy animals over the years that had very quirky tenancies (even though fully housebroken, one of our dogs would get excited and "use the facilities" in the waiting room EVERY time) and the staff was so professional when dealing with the embarrassing situations. They never made us feel like bad pet parents. The medical staff are great also. They are patient with the animals, and work as a team to calm nervous pets. Nikkie is always super sweet with my dog. Drs. Tosh and Bennett are always very thorough. After my dog had an ear infection, Dr. Tosh taught me step-by-step how to clean out his ears and how to give the medicine. My 80lb dog does not like the lifting table and Dr. Bennett will actually get down on the floor, to his level, to do the examination. The doctors are also really great about talking through solutions with me. They will normally give multiple solutions and go through pros and cons from the perspectives of health of the animal, ease of treatment, and cost.

We love Dr. Edmond and everyone else at Clearview. They take such good care of our girl, Louis…read more There is nowhere else we'd trust with our pup. I am retired and live on a fixed income. That being said, my dog is now 7 and has never been to a Veterinarian other than when I first got them home to get checked and wormed. I cannot afford annual Vet. visit. I take my dog , every year, to a mobile Vet. for shots only. My sweet Allie had developed a growth behind her ear and it needed to come off. I was hesitant , knowing what animal surgery costs in the city by hearing of similar situations from friends and family. I was referred to Hickory Knoll by someone I trust! I was skeptical and nervous for my dog. This place is truly special!! My dog had a little area to as she's super skittish around people that she doesn't regularly see. They made her feel at ease, which surprised me. As of late , they take strict precautions as far as Covid is concerned. They come get your pooch from your car and offer payment options while in your vehicle. I can't say enough about how much Hickory Knoll has changed my perception of Veterinarians. They even call , twice in fact , to check up on your animal after the visit. They do this every time and it means a lot to me.

They found a tumor and we scheduled an operation and he was given a prescription for chemo. They never informed me of the side effects of the chemo, and never offered any other treatment or explanation as to what was going on. It wasn't until researching myself that I realized how sick that could make him, so I decided against it. The time for his operation comes around and he becomes anemic, and they say there's nothing they can do. Bullshit. They could have done a blood transfusion and operation to remove the tumor and stabilize him, but I wasn't informed of that until I took him to another vet. It could have been benign for all we knew, and I'm sure a fine needle aspiration would have been able to show that, but it was never offered and I didn't know it was an option until I went to another vet, once again. They didn't even offer to do another ultrasound to check to see if the tumor spread. They simply said okay here's your dying cat, bye. Sorry, good luck! And when I'm told by Cypress that basically there was nothing we could do and he was going to die, I ask if we can put him down. They say "oh well we don't want to put down a happy pet." Are you fucking kidding me? He had a tumor on his spleen that could rupture at any moment and kill him almost instantly. He was not a "happy pet." He was bleeding to death from the inside. He had anemia, FIV, and likely cancer that was literally killing him. He was breathing so heavy and his heart was going crazy and he was super lethargic with a giant stomach full of blood. How insensitive can you possibly be? I was told this by both the doctor and the receptionist. So now I had to take my sorry ass and my dying cat elsewhere where I'm actually informed of all the options, but by then he's on the brink of death and has to be put down. I can only guess he had cancer, but I guess we won't fucking know for sure now that he's a pile of crushed bones and ash in a tiny plastic bag, now will we? I was told there was nothing to be done which wasn't true. I was denied the opportunity to put my cat out of his misery. Absolutely unacceptable.
