I just wanna share my experience with this "watching" or "observing" boat which has nothing to do with fishing. I live in south florida over 10 years and I never thought I will experience something like that. First we pay 1000$ cash plus 200$ tip for 4 hours fishing trip (next time I will use only amex to have some backup when You screw on service) Boat starts leaving dock at 8am and we was swimming like 30-40 min because 2 draw bridges were close and then we saw outlet to open ocean but not so fast because they using your time to go to marine 15 min further to get a bait for us. So we booked 10 days before boat and they can not prepare fishing bait just running 15-30 min extra to buy it. No we know that we dealing with scammers or amateurs. After 9am we are hitting outlet to open ocean. The guy "star" I call him that because he was running the show.He setup 4 rods ( our group was 6) and if fish catch he took rod and check if fish is hooked so then let You fish. The main problem was that he could manage just 1 rod so we have to take rod by 1 person and next person wait till next rod has fish. we catch few bonitos. My wife was second in line so when "star" call her to start reeling but was another problem my wife is left handed and need use 2 hands to use reel because every reel was for right. After trip she told me to not be mad that the "start" disqualified her because she cant use 2 hands so my wife was out!! After 30-45min they decide to catch fish which You can take home previously fish was just for fun and free bait for captain. They said we gonna fish from bottom of ocean. This was the worst experience in my life because You ARE NOT ALLOWED TO FISH only STAR has 1 rod all group has to watch how he fish. All roads was secured to not fish no hooks. So the guy "STAR" was all time fishing playing have fun and all our group was watching like in movie theater. As soon he catches fish he bring closer and then ask is someone wants bring already hooked tired fish too boat. WTF 1200$ for watching 1 person have fun fishing putting bait on hook and have the best experience when fish attack your bait and then just pass You rod with catches tired fish I think is pure SCAM I was 6th number but when they banned my wife from fishing I decide also to pass my fight with reel to my friends kid! If I will be know (which is lie I fishing from many boat and they never tell my wife You cant fish because You left hand) I will never go if for 6 people You allowed to watch guy with 1 rod. This is pure scam. Personally Im not mad at crew captain and STAR they just do wrong advertising is not fishing is watching and observing so before You spend any $ ask if You able to touch rod because I didn't touch the rod. I made pictures and videos just a proof if crew will try turn my real story in lies. You pay only watch how crew has fun from fishing and you are SPONSOR. PAY CREDIT CARD AMEX next time maybe they will start work for Your fun !!! read more

Bad service. Spent a lot of money on a deep sea charter to catch maybe 7 small fish. I have caught bigger fish from the shore. When we booked it they never warned us about not catching fish but when we get there they tell us it's really hard in winter. Crew also was not interested or friendly. Felt like we were just watching him rather than him teach us or showing us stuff. REALLY DO NOT RECCOMEND read more

I've been on countless fishing charters in multiple cities so I know a great amount of how they're supposed to work. Initially, making the reservation with Josh over the phone was a breeze. No deposit required which is great considering South Florida's weather is very unpredictable. I'm very meticulous when it comes to fishing charters and live bait. It was my fault for not inquiring about live bait before booking. As expected, upon arrival there was NO live bait for our group of 6. The mate mentioned the day wasn't windy enough to catch live bait but I know that wasn't the case; the intentions nor effort were not present. In addition, the drive out to reach a fishing spot is 30 - 45 minutes. On a four-hour Charter, that travel time is essential. Of course, there are limited options for the captain but definitely should considering not counting the travel time as part of the trip itself. On the way back, the captain was rushing to make it back before the 11:30am bridge - mind you, the charter was supposed to finish at noon. Our captain and mate were super friendly, funny and made the trip worthwhile. Again, my fault of course, I didn't ask what type of fishing we'd be doing. If you're down for a relaxing, no excitement type of day, then this would be for you. Troll fishing is the most boring thing ever. If I would've know that this would be the case, I would not book. After four hours, two Bonitos were caught in which the captain kept one for bait on his next charter. Not the best catch but at least something was caught. Lastly, when returning to the dock, my car had gotten booted by the restaurant next door. The owner of the charter forgot to mention to the restaurant's valet attendant that my car was part of his trip. I had to wait 30 minutes for the company to unlock the boots. Overall, we had a great time but will not be returning. Despite the cons of the trip, my group still tipped a decent amount. read more

Overbooked themselves and didn't get the trip we wanted. Had to do an offshore trip when that has been dead instead of an inshore trip. Half of the time we were riding around with no rods in the water. Super impatient with the spots we would sit at and only leave the rods in for 5 minutes then reel them in and move spots. Also not talkative or personable, will be sticking with therapy IV charter from now on! read more

Captain Josh is the real deal! He used all his experience and put us on the fish! Including our trophy 86" sailfish! First Mate Nick was great! Setting lines, giving tips to the kids and even jigging on the side while we filled the box with a limit of black fin! We will be back and you should let these guys take you out too. read more

About a month and a half ago my friend and I purchased a charter, via Groupon, and intended to redeem them a couple days ago for my friends birthday. My friend called and confirmed our slots way ahead of time and was told that we were all set, just show up a little early to the specified address. That phone call would be the last bit of communication that we would have. A couple days before we were supposed to take the trip, my friend calls again, just to be sure. No answer. Multiple calls, no answer. No email verification, no response. Nothing. Day of the trip, we call again multiple times to double check and confirm. No answer. We arrive at the address that's posted on the website and on Groupon at the time we were asked to be there. There's nobody there. No boat, nothing. After a few minutes of calling with no answer, another car shows up. The couple in the car is supposed to be on the same charter with us. We discuss the situation a bit; they say that they've been calling and calling with no response as well. After a few minutes, they drive away. My friend and I keep trying to call the different numbers on the website, double check that we have that right address, and are trying to figure out what to do. All of a sudden, our boat (Chasin Finz printed on the side) sails by with a bunch of people on board. They're heading out to sea. My friend and I start yelling, "Hey, we're supposed to be on your boat!". The captain(Captain josh) sees us, signals to us, and mouths the words "call me". My friend is literally calling this guy as all this is happening. I've never seen my buddy so pissed. Chasin Finz does not communicate with the customer and is not professional at all. We purchased a groupon and went out with them for my sons birthday. I think we would have had a way better time if the first mate had his heart in what he was doing. Captain josh was really nice and I know the first mate Joe worked hard so we definitely still tipped him as it was worth it to go out. The first mate told us he was starting his own charter company and that his mom died and I think maybe his heart wasn't 100% into it because while he was personable he just didn't seem passionate about the fishing. Right off the bat he told us we needed to tip 20-25 per person and I understand tipping is necessary to be worth it but it seemed tacky plus then he made some comment about bikini girls on a yacht going by (tacky again considering the company he was with, a family taking their son for his birthday). So he lost a star for the tackiness and lack of heart. We spent an hour of the four hours fishing for our own live bait (fine but still ate away at our time) and it took an hour to even get where we were going to fish, so that was half our trip right there. Okay, fine we got a groupon so that's okay too. When we had about 6 good Bonita's for bait, he only put one fishing rod out for 6 people which may be normal but he really should have had two out so that everyone could have a chance to feel like they fished a little more. That was why he lost another star because it seemed like he cut that corner for his own convenience and again seemed like his heart wasn't into it. In the end only one large amberjack was caught, a nice big one, and then we went home (not exactly their fault but again if we had a first mate who wasn't in the middle of starting his own company maybe could have been different). We will give captain josh another try when he has another first mate who actually loves what he does and is focused on the fishers on board. read more

Went fishing with the kids. Capt Josh and the deck hand were great. The negative is the time that it takes to get in and out to the fishing. You are paying to fish not travel and lots of time gets taken up doing just that...traveling. We arranged a half day trip so 4.5 hours (8-1230)fishing according to the web site. Travel time is at least 2.5 hours total... so in actuality you are fishing 2 hours for $650 including gratuity. We left the dock at 8ish and didn't start fishing till after 9a. We stopped fishing at 1050a to be back by 1230p. Make your own decision if it's worth the money. I can say though that the crew is great. Luckily we had a good day fishing and caught a bunch of king fish so all in all good day. Just want you to make an informed decision as no one has mentioned this. read more

I cannot say enough great things about this experience for me. I had never been fishing in my life and had no idea what to expect. Captain Josh and his mate explained everything to including why they used different size poles, what bait they choose, and how to tell if I actually caught a fish. No question was a bad question. I felt the boat was clean, the experience was intimate, and there was plenty of room for the guests. In my trip there were only 4 passengers. I felt that everyone had the experience they were looking for because the boat was not oversold. They even cut up the fish for us at the end so we could have some amazing sushi. The parking was easy and affordable. The boat left on time. My only suggestion would be to bring some hand wipes if you are a person who has a hand washing obsession. I cannot wait to do this entire trip again. Chasin Finz would be the first charter I would call. read more

They guys are great and the trip was fun. But they could do a little more explaining of what to do and let you do more. Basically we just reeled in the fish and they did the rest. ALSO they throw the live fish in the cooler, on every other deep sea trip I've taken they kill the fish more humanely. They cut up our fish for us to take home which was super nice. Over all a little more explanation and please do something about killing the fish more humanely and I'd give it 5 stars read more
