The service was friendly. The food was not good. The brisket was so dry and discolored, like maybe it was old or had been sitting out. The burnt ends were tender but so so sweet it made me sick eating them. The pulled pork was ok at best. Man. I love to eat. I love bbq and smoked foods. I paid good money for this and it's pretty bad when I can barely finish half of it before throwing it out. I can eat most anything and I seriously feel like I'm going to puke. What a waste. Lovely people! They got the order right and were fast. My only grievance was that the brisket and pork were really dry. I'm not talking about "oh I must've shown up late so now the brisket is dry" no it's more of a. "Damn, this is jerky dry". Even if you let a brisket sit out for a day it couldn't get that dry so my only thought process was either not same day brisket or improper storing throughout the day sucking out the life essence juices from the meat. We found Chase's BBQ Shack to be above and beyond most other establishments we've visited in Woodward. 1st it's a drive thru which makes ordering very convenient. 2nd. The gentleman helping us was exceptionally respectful and informative about menu items. 3rd Mike- the guy at the window -not only asked questions regarding our food choices but also explained in detail how items were prepared and how to order in advance of a special occasion. 4th. To begin with the gentleman at the window was extremely kind and even gave me a free tea. When I opened up my food, everything was well proportioned and its proper cup. I honestly did not think it was going to taste as good as it was, and wow, the turkey is extremely moist and has great flavor. This place is awesome and I wish we had more like these in (OKC). I originally came through here in May of 2016, and stopped and ordered a smoked bologna sandwich which was the best I had ever had and was really looking forward to it again. Today I stopped here since that time and unfortunately they do not have that sandwich, however I did order the burnt ends meat plate with a side of cowboy beans and chips. Food was on point across the board. The cowboy beans is something I could definitely just eat over and over again. The bbq sauce was really good as well and definitely worth a stop. Drive through only. Friendly service, Great ribs tasty pudding. The ribs were terrific. Perfect amount of tug and chew as you would find in a great competition rib. Flavorful with just the right amount of smoke flavor. The burnt ends had the correct amount of tenderness, were moist and had a good beefy juiciness, but no smokiness and absolutely none of the bark you'd expect from a true burnt end. The coleslaw was basic with a bit too much mayonnaise flavor, but very, very few BBQ places have standout slaw. I was very disappointed in the beans. No flavor at all. They were like unseasoned refries. I'll save them for lunch tomorrow and at them with tortillas and picante. Homemade pudding...yum, yum and yum. Best BBQ I have had in a long time. We had the pulled pork bowl, brisket bowl and ribs. All the meat was so tender! The crust on the ribs were sweet with a little bit of spice. Since it was our first time we got free banana pudding and that is some creamy banana pudding! The service was fast and the girl working was very nice. The best ribs I have had in Oklahoma, right here! Great bark and smoke, didn't fall off the bone it just took a gentle pull. Very meaty, very little ligament. The smoked pulled pork was fantastic. It was tender, with good flavor, and the serving size was generous! It came with sides and a drink, for cheap! Traveling thru, like to support local eateries. We tried the brisket and pulled pork dinner with the potato salad and cowboy beans. The staff was extremely friendly and even treated us to some of their banana pudding. Sorry to say the meat was kinda dry, but did have a good smoky flavor. You definitely need the sauce and you should probably ask for extra. The potato salad was homemade and very good. The beans were tasty as well. The potato salad was good the beans were ok, but the meat, OMG was on point. Tender as tender could be and very, very tasty.
