Been here a few times now and just came in again last few days. Service is always on point here and always there to make sure you have everything you need. Steaks are always cooked to order and they have great seasoning, flavor and tenderness. I still think the porterhouse is the best one yet that I have had here, but I'll keep trying more variety's to see if that changes. Prices are very reasonable compared to other places I have been and the quality of food here is above par. Definitely will be back again soon. read more

We have been here several times & every time has been amazing!! We have tried almost everything on the menu & it's been all so delicious!! The owner is super involved with his customers & making sure they are pleased with their food. The staff is friendly & quick. It's a beautiful clean place to have drinks or dinner. I should have way more photos of the food but when we go there we are very social & not on our phones. read more

Stopped in while on business on Woodward. Had the filet and it was excellent. Very nice salad bar as well. Don't let the outside fool you, this place is great. It is pricey but worth it. Only negative is they charge a fee for credit cards. read more

We returned to Al's the next night. It was great again. This time I had the salmon with mashed potatoes. I asked for it to be cooked well done. My husband had the chicken fried steak. We were both pleased. The restaurant was very busy but everything seemed to be running smoothly. read more

Some of the negative reviews below are misleading, or perhaps were from a different era. Stopped by for a weekday lunch. Aside from an unpleasant, plumbing smell, the experience was quite good. Service was prompt, the restaurant was clean. Lunch prices are very reasonable $18 For a strip steak with two sides advertised as 12 ounces, but was bigger than that, and very well cooked. I will stop again when working in Woodward, a refreshing break from my usual, Taqueria's, or Tex-Mex, which are the reliable, go to's in smaller towns. Definitely recommend. read more

The fanciest steakhouse in town with prices to match. Ambiance - This is the nicest restaurant in town by far with white tablecloth and luxurious red leather seating. This is definitely somewhere to go for a date night or a special occasion - this feels exactly like a fancy restaurant you'd find in the city. While most of the clientele doesn't dress up, we felt more comfortable in a collared shirt to match the upscale atmosphere. Food - While not bad, there was nothing particularly good or special about the food. Our group ordered pastas, steaks, and an assortment of sides. While the steak was cooked as we asked, our steaks just weren't as flavorful, juicy, or tender as we expected. We've had better steaks at lower prices other places in town. This was the same story for our sides - though I did enjoy the home-made mac & cheese. The pastas got the job done but tasted like something we could have made ourselves from a box - there weren't even any special touches or garnishes as you'd expect in a nice restaurant. Overall we were disappointed in the food. Drinks - This place has the most premium wine selection in town. I was pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant in Woodward that carried Moet & Chandon and Veuve Cliquot. That said, this place did not have the extensive wine-list that is customary in a nice steakhouse. There were less than 10 reds to choose from and there was not a single Bordeaux on the list so we made do with a Rose which was excellent. That said, the wine by the bottle is very affordably priced and doesn't carry too much of a markup from store prices - so that was refreshing! There is a full bar but the drink prices are very high for the neighborhood, with pretty much everything costing around $9 or $10. Service - Service here is attentive and speedy. We were never looking for our waitress and she kept our glasses full. No complaints about the service, it was the white-glove approach you'd expect from a restaurant this nice. Value - The biggest issue here is the price. The value just isn't there. While nowhere near the steakhouse prices you'd pay in a major city, we just didn't leave our meal feeling satisfied. Everything we ate was average at best with far above-average prices. At this price level we certainly will not be returning - there are far better options in town for cheaper. That said, this is a nice place to go if you're looking to impress or celebrate a special occasion without going far. read more

Very good food for a small town! Steaks are tender and seasoned nicely and the salad bar has everything you need. Staff is friendly and the drinks are cold! read more

Unfortunate! I had such high hope for a locally owned steakhouse. I ordered a NY Strip at the suggestion of the staff. After seeing what the kitchen had done to it I actually felt bad for the cow the steak came from. They had covered it with their "house seasonings", attempted to pan sear the steak by smothering it in vegetable oil, almost burnt the out while the interior of the steak was still extra rare. I had ordered the steak medium based on observing the couple at the next table sending their under cooked steaks back as I was seated. I know the kitchen staff couldn't be overwhelmed as I was ticket #3 of the evening. The dining room was decent and had clean appearance. The music was some kind of specialized hellish mix of elevator jazz/ light pop hits from the mid 20teens. I would encourage anyone that is considering this as a good option to look elsewhere. I have got a better prepared steak off the hotdog roller at the travel stop! The only highlight of the evening other than walking out the front door was the microwaved store bought frozen bread stick. Although still cold in the middle it was the only thing on the table that did not have the scorched taste is cheap seasoning charred in even cheaper vegetable oil read more

Best filet that I have ever eaten! We found this place on Google. No regrets! Gave 5 stars because 6 stars wasn't an option. Give it a try. read more

Went there again last night. This time I ordered a filet and got a much better steak than I did last time. The service was also better than my previous experience. read more

It was ok not but not great. After hearing the hype I thought it would be a place that would make me want to come back over and over again. The food was bland. The service was awesome. read more

Walked in, waited 10 min for someone to greet and seat us. Once sat, took our waitress about 10-12 min to come get drink orders. Not only was she leisurely walking around but didn't seem to care at all. Rushed us through ordering and when the food came, it was almost fluent how fast she sat the food down and kept walking. Rolls tasted OLD. My husband ordered a Cesar salad for his main entree and it came out the size of a side salad. On the other hand, the ribeye steak was AMAZING! Only thing that was good! read more

It gives me such joy to write this review. We Dined here after being told by just about EVERY local that this was the best restaurant in Woodward. And after visiting my GOD I am glad we took everyone's advice ! I can see why it holds such a high popularity among the locals. This establishment was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. I literally don't know where to start. We were visiting from out of town and me having traveled far and wide extensively I have seen many local steakhouses in big cities to small towns. This establishment is one of the best local steakhouses I've been to in years. I wish I had photographed the entire place to catch how intimate and quaint the whole place was. You can tell that from the menu to the decor every inch of the place was thought about. The restrooms although small have the most intriguing artwork you'll feel like you have just taken a quick trip to a art museum with the cascading 3D art display. The decor of the restaurant is very unique. The waitress took our order and a very charismatic guy made our drinks instead of the bartender and just our luck he was actually AL! this owner of the restaurant he just so happened to be in that night passing through. I always count myself lucky and feel honored anytime I get to meet the owner of any restaurant I go to. But not just to meet him but for him to bartend for us was such a humbling experience. The food was amazing living up to all the hype that was brought to us before dining here. The flavors set this place apart from any place we dined at in Woodward. The steaks were cooked PERFECTLY to temperature the sides were amazing down to the homemade Caesar dressing. The warm welcome from this establishment made our experience so great we didn't want to leave! ( we were actually the last to leave). As this was the last place we ate at prior to us leaving it left a lasting impression we will never forget. My recommendation is if you visit Woodard, OK DO NOT LEAVE UNTIL YOU VISIT THIS PLACE !!!!! read more

Absolutely amazing !!! They have brought a 5 star City Steakhouse to Woodward. From the wonderful atmosphere to the great staff and amazing food . I had flavorful ribeye cooked to perfection , it has a nice crust on the outside but was so tender on the inside and the crab cake appetizer is to live for , I had never have crab cake prepared this way but it was wonderful . The best restaurant / steakhouse in town !!! read more

"Best restaurant in Woodward" Ha. No. Ordered mozzarella sticks appetizer. Came out undercooked. Ordered filet and mashed potatoes. Asked for medium, it was stone cold in the center. So, I had it sent back. Came out well done. So charred on the outside that it was crunchy, and hard to eat. If you're gonna call yourself a steakhouse, maybe learn how to cook steak. My gf ordered the chicken Alfredo, it looked good, she said it was. The restaurant was pretty much full at dinner time, but there were only 2 waitresses working. Ours was very nice, but very busy. You know when you go to a steakhouse, they bring your food, have you cut into the steak, make sure everything is good, ask if you need anything else, etc. Our waitress brought our food, sat it on the table, and walked off without a word. My girlfriend had to go track her down to tell her about my steak. I don't blame the waitress, I blame management for understaffing. There were at least 2 managers there, why weren't they helping?? Maybe it was an off night. Whatever it was, I won't go back. I'll go to the restaurant that has been been far above expectations every single time I've gone. That's Ramiros Mexican restaurant. read more

Wonderful place to go! Fantastic steaks cooked to perfection. Love the flavor along with the choice of sides. Great staff!

Very pleased with the entire experience. Great staff and service, very clean and well kept restaurant. Outstanding preparation of very fresh seafood. High quality filet was prepared exactly as requested. Bring your bank book, but well worth it! read more
