The wait may not actually be as long as the greeter tells you, but there's a pretty good chance you're gonna wait. Pro tip: There's another lounge just down the way that you may also have access to. If you do, I'd suggest going there instead of standing around waiting. You can relax, grab something to eat, and then head back over when the Centurion Lounge is ready for you. That's exactly what I did, and it made the wait a whole lot more pleasant. Overall, great lounge and definitely worth visiting. Just have a Plan B for the wait!

The lounge opened around 5:00 a.m., so I expected the usual Centurion Lounge breakfast experience. What I did not realize was that, according to the employee working that morning, they do not begin serving the "real breakfast" until 6:30 a.m. Unfortunately, that was also when my flight began boarding, so I was unable to take advantage of it. Before 6:30, the available food consisted mainly of cold pastries, fresh fruit, and yogurt. Because I have a fruit allergy, most of those options did not work for me, so I ended up having a cup of coffee and a pastry. The coffee and pastry were fine, but the overall experience was disappointing compared with what I have come to expect from Centurion Lounges. Even a limited hot breakfast with simple items such as scrambled eggs, sausage, or oatmeal would have made a significant difference. DFW is a major international airport with flights operating throughout the day and night, so I was surprised that the lounge was only partially operational during part of its posted hours. In my view, if the lounge is open, guests should have access to more than a small cold selection, especially when many early-morning travelers may need to leave before 6:30. This was the first time I had encountered this at a Centurion Lounge. The lounge itself was still comfortable and the staff was polite, but the limited early-morning food service fell short of the standard I normally associate with Amex. I ended up leaving to go get "real breakfast" at another place that sold food.

This was my first time going to this lounge in the early morning and I found that they had a great selection of breakfast related options for dining in. They consistently do a great job of keeping the tables neat and tidy. Whenever I have left my table for seconds, they have usually removed my previous items by the time I get back. One thing that I have noticed is that as the Capital One lounges have gotten more popular, they have done a great job of not letting the lounge get overly crowded. They are addressing this 2 ways 1) there is now a higher spending limit for the Venture X cardholders to get lounge access and 2) they will post people at the entrance to sign you up to get paged for entry if the lounge is at capacity. So that means that even if you have the privilege, you may have to wait when it's busy. Overall another outstanding experience.

Today, I experienced horrendous delays & ran into the lounge 20 minutes before it closed. The staff were incredibly welcoming. I was able to grab to go snacks & freshen up. As I was leaving, several other hungry travelers were welcomed in & provided bags for to go foods. It was a nice experience when you've had a long disrupted travel day. It has been my experience in other lounges, that within 30 minutes of closing, they have already cleared all food items in preparation for closing & not always welcoming.

Yes, they apparently send an email, but I'm not refreshing my inbox every 30 seconds while waiting for a reservation. The entire system is incredibly poorly designed and ended up being a complete waste of my time. A waitlist should notify you when it's your turn, not require you to babysit a webpage.

We stayed at the back corner since it was too early to be around so many travelers. Got our coffee, small breakfast then used the nice bathrooms before boarding. Amenities are modern, but I did feel like I had been transported back to the 80s for some strange reason. Maybe that is just the age of this terminal? As I said before, it's huge. End to end you start to wonder if you're still in fact in the lounge. You are... but there are more nooks and crannies to discover. There is seating in every direction, along with dedicated sections for office work, and the cubicles come complete with large monitors to hook into for more productivity. There are windows to the actual gates, though you might be cooler during the summer staying away from them. They have a conference room that can be booked for an additional cost. This lounge has a few food areas, most of them serving up lighter bites with a more "main" buffet near the bar offering the most. When I went there was a build your own bagel sandwich station, staffed by someone ready to cook up and assemble you a delicious sandwich to order. The bar isn't big enough to accomodate the traffic when busy, at least when I was there in the summer. There are also a lot of chokepoints where you can just get stuck waiting to move. The showers can be utilized by checking in with someone in with customer service. Getting a quick shower in before a flight definitely adds to my comfort on the flight, it's a good way to decompress. Bathrooms are large and clean, you get your own stall with an actual full length door, like at a Buc-ees. The air conditioning is nice and cold in the office section to the left, seems to get much warmer in the window area. I do not often fly AA, but this was a worthy lounge, and I certainly appreciated it while awaiting my connection.

The staff could not care less about the people there. I walked into the dining room where I was informed that flagship dining is by invitation only. I'm not quite sure what I need to do to get an invitation to the dining room but having achieved executive platinum every year by the end of June, I'm not spending any more money to get mediocre food and apathetic service. You're better off going to McDonald's.

Long layovers are only fun if you're lounge hopping or shopping around and walking around the airport. It's all fun and games until all you want to do is take a nice nap when it's well past the hours of the night and your flight is not until the next morning. It's too short of a layover to book a hotel room but also too long to be not curled up in a blanket in a private space to catch some zz's. Thanks to Priority Pass, we decided to give these guys a try and we're so happy we did. Me and my husband each had 1 hour for free so we were able to book 2 free hours of nap time! We split it up pretty evenly where we got our first couple of hours walking around the airport and moving our legs/working in our computers. And then, when it was about 2am, we went to our Minute Suite and spent 2 wonderful hours napping in quiet. What I loved about the experience is you get pillows and blankets and can really enjoy a dark, private and quiet space even with dimmable lights and white noise if you need. If you prefer to work or watch TV that's also available. Overall pretty awesome experience, the only thing is I think they were doing some work at the airport and you could hear everything so maybe having some kind of a sound proof would be awesome. The couch had a bit of a wear and tear but it's fine we just covered it up with extra blankets. All in all, amazing experience! If they provided sanitizing wipes to make you feel like it's super clean after the last guest this would be even better. Otherwise, 10/10 would recommend and from now on, I'll be sure to book these especially during long overnight layovers.

Since there is a lounge in every terminal, you don't really have to go far in order to find one. A lot of people go to the flagship lounge in terminal D as they have more premium offerings, but I find that to be a bit more crowded. And this loud in terminal B is a perfect way to just relax and have a small bite to eat and maybe a drink. The views from the window aren't that great but if you need to get some work done or print some things or even have a conference in one of the many conference room rooms than this lounge is all set up for that.
