At first I really liked this bank but after using them for 6 months I cannot stand them. My last review was premature. There are so many fees here and they are constantly messing up. So far they have cancelled my father in law's bank account instead of my husbands, they have stopped the wrong check and then made me pay a stop check fee even though the check was never stopped, and when we had fraudulent activity they cancelled the wrong checking account. Do not trust this bank because nobody who works here even cares about their customers. I will be leaving this bank.

One was on the phone helping a customer. One was counting coins and the other Carlos was in an argument with an elderly couple I was first online. No one acknowledge me when Carlos was finished he went to help the teller counting coins. I waited 5 mins then said can some help me? He yelled no we are required to work together. Another 10 mins went by when it was my turn After asking my question I asked to deposit a check I was told why didn't I use the app. I said I knew I could have but I needed to talk to someone. He had an attitude my entire encounter with him I don't usually use this branch and won't again. I'll use the ATM's but will not go in One of the worst banking experiences I ever experienced If you need to go inside be aware of the attitudes

horrible experience, on May 19th, at the seaford location: after banking here for decades…read more suddenly my ira info is going to a different address, not my mailing address. went in & young man trying to help me, on computer like 10 minutes, then got another guy to help, another 10 minutes!. then they both go off to the manager in the corner for another 10 minutes. what is going on??? i get up to see what is the problem & start to walk toward the managers office. the security guard starts walking toward me like i'm a dangerous senior citizen. the manager, she yells out at me to "go back & sit down!" i said i had to go & the young man said he would call me. never heard anything. i will be removing my accounts from this bank as soon as i can manage it. i do not feel comfortable nor trust them at this point.

Shout out to Eileen and Helen who always make me feel so welcome and really go out of their way for their customers although to be honest everyone in the branch is so friendly and helpful. It's what keeps me and everyone else with Ridgewood. The reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars is the ridiculous parking situation. On more than one occasion I have had to wait 10 plus minutes for a spot to open up. However when entering the bank their were only a few customers. I'm told that people from the gym next door park in Ridgewood' s private lot. I know they now have a guard on Saturdays but come on. Many of your customers are elderly. If you don't want to tow the illegally parked cars at least have a guard there daily. It's horrible that the bank can't fix this situation that has been going on for months. Do better for your customers. The reason I stay is because of the outstanding service.

The following day I received a voicemail from that same employee regarding a correction. After she believed the call had ended, she continued speaking, calling me a "witch"and referencing my account balance. While I stopped using Jovia for deposits due to their horrible handling of Covid, I never closed the accounts, "just in case". That was a mistake. It's a shame because I had been a member at NEFCU since the 90's. I'll be taking this further of course. Isn't that what witches do?
