$8 to cash a check when your a non account holder is pretty desperate. I'm aware that this policy is not new but I've been to several other banks that have got rid of that policy or waive the fee. I rarely get checks and never process them directly through my bank. I will make sure to pass that cost down to my customer but I still think it's pretty horrible that just because a person wants to ensure that a check doesn't bounce in their account by playing russian roulette that I have to incur a fee. read more

Chase bank is terrible! One they're so -called employees STOLE a check I wrote out to a business. The copy of the check was "doctored". The Chase employee changed the amount from $35 to $200! Some people! Chase bank did everything they could to cover the theft up for their employee and then they closed my bank account with them without any justification. Ridiculously long wait. Seriously the line goes all the way to the door to get in. I've already been in line for 45 mins! I use to love Chase bank. However, it has become glaringly obvious that they no longer care about customer service. There are now only 2 windows available to service people and out of those 2 windows only 1 is currently open. The rest of the window have been replaced with 4 machines. And the 4 window behind these machines are covered with a panoramic photo that says "So much you can do. So much we can do to help". Help my butt. Help me waste my day maybe. Yeah... I hate to state the obvious but if I wanted to use an ATM I would have done it outside. Not taken time out of my busy schedule to come in! Hands down the best bank around all thanks to the superior service from Jamie at this branch. I own a window company and we've experienced price increases on many materials due to tariffs and always get a rush of orders before pricing goes up. I had a regular customers check of $15k put on hold and the customer obviously didn't want to pay the increase so he was quite upset. I tried calling the customer service line with no luck so I waited until this branch opened and asked for Jamie who was who opened my account. Within 1 hour he had verified my customers check with their bank and trust and the funds were available. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Jamie @ this branch. read more

When I opened an account with this branch, I did so because I work nearby and thought it would be easy to pop in and cash my check. Unfortunately that is not the case. When you use the ATM to deposit a check, it takes about 3 days to clear. When you go in to deposit, they have the ability to make it completely available, but usually use the excuse that they can only clear up to whatever amount you have in your account. Like say you deposit a check for more than $200 and you only have $10 in your account, they can only make $10 available to you and you have to wait for the rest. But that's more of the company itself and not the branch. When I opened my account, I had to have a special account, and the man who opened it for me failed to explain it properly, so I thought my card wasn't working. I talked to someone there who said I had to wait to order a new one, but I figured if I could still use it in the ATM, then it was okay. That was only the beginning of the problems. One day, about 4 months into having this account, I went to cash my paycheck. The teller flat out refused to cash it for me, and when I asked to speak to the manager, she told me the manager wasn't available, and I should take my check to my company's bank to cash it. So I drove over to the other bank, and they wanted $5 to cash it, and I said, screw it. So I drove back over to this Chase branch, and was helped by the same teller, who proceeded to deposit my check and tell me to have a nice day. I asked her for my money, and she told me I could have it when the hold was lifted. I was so angry, I asked for the manager again, and she told me the manager was busy. So I left. Three days later I came back, withdrew my money, and closed my account. The woman who helped me was named Patricia, and she even told me that what happened should not have happened. A while ago I opened another account at a different location and they were very helpful. (The one on Arlington in the Ross shopping center.) So I decided to give this branch another shot and asked them to deposit my check and make it completely available. When the teller told me she couldn't, I asked for the manager, and when she came over, I was told that she couldnt do that either. When I told her about my other branch, she did it for me, but told me that it was a "special exception." This branch does not care about its customers and the employees are the rudest I have ever come across. I recommend you avoid it at all costs, except for withdrawing money from the ATM. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. I went to chase to open up a business account, when I arrived one of the bankers came to help and was followed by the bank manager. When I started to explain what I was there for, the manager quickly cut me off mid-sentence. In a condescending tone, he asked if I already had a business account. "No, that's what I am here for." Granted, I didn't come as prepared as needed, and would have had to have brought some other documentation. He did not provide me any further information about what I would need in order to open up an account. Instead, I left. I will be looking for another bank and closing my accounts with Chase bank. I had a check that I mistakenly deposited into my other bank (wells) and I had forgotten I had deposited by mobile on chase. I quickly realized my mistake and I called my employer and my banks to get the issue resolved. Chase froze my account. Then canceled my account with them and my money was held. My employer has already verified the mistake and transaction and then chase tells me I could open a new account to where I received my debit that I had money in when I opened the new account to only call and tell me I could never open a account with chase again. So they wasted my time with me having to open a new account after I was brutally honest of my MISTAKE. I'm human for gods sake. Ending to me never being able to ever open a new account with them. I'm so angry with Chase bank! Our business had a chance to do a deal that was going to net us 5 figures. One party to the transaction wired us 6 figures. We spoke to someone in the business banking dept in advance to let them know we were expecting it because we didn't want any problems moving it around. They said it was no problem, wires are treated like cash. That night around 6 pm we tried to wire a substantial amt of that money to another involved party. It wouldn't go thru. We had to wait until around 5 am in the morning to get a bank rep on the phone. She helped us send it. By early afternoon it still had not gone thru and one of the parties to this time-sensitive transaction (it was nearing evening in his time zone) got nervous and cancelled the deal. Talk about amateur hour. We are expecting many more transactions like this but we will find a more competent bank to do it with. I normally don't come to this location because it's out of my way. However, I was in the area and needed to make a deposit. I can say it was one of the best experiences I have ever had with chase. The teller Nani was extremely professional and nice. Most tellers just ask what you need and then send you on your way. Nani actually took the time to ask how my day was and that meant a lot considering no one ever cares to ask anymore. I feel like that one question is a big part of costumer service and she nailed it. This is a very busy branch so its best to use the drive through atm. its got a funny curve to it so watch out. if you do have to go inside make sure you get a business account. you get to cut ahead of the long line when you do as there is a dedicate business window. read more
