Instead of using the ATM, I decided to go inside because I actually enjoy interacting with people. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by two friendly employees who asked how they could help. I let them know I just needed to make a deposit. There was only one person ahead of me, and they were helped very quickly. Once it was my turn, the employee assisting me was kind, welcoming, and even complimented my nails, love a good compliment! The transaction itself was smooth. She counted the cash using the money counter, confirmed the total, & Before I knew it, I was done and on my way. My hobby is hating people. I really do not like to interact with humans because it's all really annoying. So when Chase dropped their tellers in exchange for automated tellers in the lobby, I rejoiced in the thought that I'd never have to stand in line for checking a balance, depositing or removing funds or any other mundane task. The machine handles checks and cash and dispenses small bills. It also allows you to withdraw large bills in excess of what you could on the outside ATMs. But when I am forced to interact with a person, this branch has the most personable bilingual staff I've ever encountered. And the fees structure of many of their checking products is very competitive compared to other banking institutions. Bottom line: if your transaction can be handled without having to talk to a human teller, use the machine in the lobby. If not, stand in line. Otherwise, quit your whining and be an adult. I will agree that seeing a banker is a wait of an hour or longer, and that side of the business should be further streamlined. Sometimes I just want access to my safe deposit box, and I shouldn't have to wait two hours for that. read more

Have been coming here for 6 months now. Most recently, the place was pretty busy. I added my name to wait list. Only 2 people ahead of me and maybe 3-4 reps helping out. It was moving very slow. After 15-20 min of waiting, I was next in line. One of the young ladies was helping a customer and I guess someone she knew came in wanting to cash a check. The guy said I need to cash a check. She engaged in a conversation while her customer waited patiently. She stood up, took his check to a window, and continued to talk to the guy. There were about 6-8 people waiting to speak with a teller, but I guess that didn't matter. Generally long waiting times and people like these making poor decisions as if no one was watching or listening. read more

Wow, I had no idea that there were reviews for this Chase bank. Worst customer service EVER because they do not try to help you. Instead, they treat you like criminals that are trying to take out our own money! My father, who is 76 years old, is hard of hearing, poor eye sight, and can not drive so one of his children always has to accompany him to do any bank transactions. We came here to withdraw some money. But this was while my father was waiting for his replacement ID card. We brought in his American Citizen Certificate, which has his photo, name/signature, birthdate, etc.... They would not accept this as a proper ID form and would NOT help us to withdraw his money and repeatedly told us that there was NOTHING they could do for us, but provide us only $50. Meanwhile, my father and my mother are living without any income for the past month because we tried 2x in the past month, due to the DMV's slooooow process. We went to another Chase bank in Lakewood (my sister suggested we go there) and showed our bank teller the same American Citizen Certificate and explained the horrible experience from this Paramount Chase and the Lakewood Chase bank teller didn't even bat an eye on accepting my father's ONLY form of ID at the moment (American Citizenship certificate), until the DMV mailed out his ID card. I called back the Paramount Chase bank and really had to find out why they denied us and did nothing to help my father's situation. You would think all Chase banks follow the same procedures and rules and regulations. Alma (our teller) told me that she will bring it up to management and get to the bottom of this. I'll believe it when I see it. And I'll consider updating this post if a resolution comes of it. They turned us away and made us feel so helpless and on THEIR mercy. I understand that it's a bank and there are rules and regulations to ensure safety and prevent fraud, but there are exceptions. My father was sitting right next to me, with a form of ID and they STILL would not help us. We will not be coming back here. read more

The worst customer service. Zero stars! Incompetent staff starting from the manager Marilu, which turned out to be an assistant manager. After waiting over an hour for only an atm card to be printed out her best recommendation was to go to the chase at the closest Northgate market. Why send me there? Maybe because Marilu and her staff can't handle this branch. Why not just take care of me quickly since it only take no more than 5 mins.Marilu should be fired! This branch is full of incompetent and a good for nothing management staff. They need to be fired and replaced by someone that can handle managing a bank. I recently walked in to buy a cashiers check for $15,000 and everything was fine at first. I ran some errands and returned about 1hr later to cash it. They were giving me a difficult time even though they were the bank that issued the check and they knew it was valid. The teller was very unprofessional, rude and childish so I decided to go down the street and deposit the check at my bank. A few days later I get a notification from my bank stating that the check was not honored by Chase so they mailed my check back and withdrew $15K from my account. (btw this was a cashiers check that is supposed to be certified and guaranteed to have funds by the bank) Apparently the assistant manager Marilu placed a hold on my money for no good reason. She called me later and said that she made a mistake but she will issue a different check. Only problem is my check was being mailed back so I had to wait 7-10 business days before I can get a replacement. I spoke to the general manager to try and resolve the matter but he was also a good for nothing useless human being. The whole management staff at this branch was rude and completely useless. If you have an issue at this branch I would suggest calling their Market Office (310)474-8458 or Ray at their Regional Office (714)441-2079. If that doesn't work call their executive office because dealing with this branch will be a huge waste of time. After waiting for almost 2 weeks to get a replacement check, They appologized and gave me $12 for a returned check fee. That was their "solution" to holding $15,000 hostage. Issue a $12 refund. This branch is a joke, they can't be trusted with money. Do not open an account at this bank unless if you are ok with them stealing your money and returning it whenever they are ready to give it back. They obviously cant manage their bank and your money is not safe at this chase branch. They are full of incompetent idiots. read more

This review is not so much for the bank but for an employee named Karla! She is so cool. I was in line waiting for my turn, couldn't use any machine since I had not received my replacement card in the mail yet. She came around and waived at me to go to her window. First glance very pretty and smiling felt welcomed. She instantly made conversation with me. Noticed my birthday had just passed and said happy late birthday. Her birthday had just passed too. We got so into our conversation that I even told her about my birthday engagement. Basically felt like we knew each other but really had just met a few minutes ago. I love great customer service. I work in the medical field and know how important it is not only in my own environment but every where else to always provide the best customer service. A simple smile or a nice conversation can definitely brighten up someone's day and make a difference.
