Went to the bank to do a withdrawal and when I got off my car the ATM area was so dirty and gross. There was trash everywhere. I understand the employees are inside but as a customer I shouldn't have to step over crash and atm receipts all over the floor to use the ATM. Then 1/3 atm is down with no signage. The staff inside was nice but this is more of a facilities problem. As a customer I expect more. read more

Came in for help for a new account, and the service here is bland. Told me to come back in two hours. Isaac was the guys name, wouldn't make eye contact, he seemed like he was on his phone under the teller thing. And just wasn't helpful at all. Sometimes smiling makes a big difference. The lack of security at this location is beyond terrible. You're better off keeping your money in your pockets. Connie, the branch manager at this location, didn't seem concerned of the safety of Chase customers account and will not hold anyone accountable or take further action for the fraud happening in Downeys location. I had the best banking experience with Chase bank off of Lakewood in Downey. I'm not sure if you know this but you have to make all your appointments online prior to going to the bank. The day before I irresponsibly missed my appointment not knowing that I would be stuck at the DMV all day . On a prayer I popped into this one. Immediately I saw ruben walking to his desk and I asked him please help me. He told me you have to have an online appointment I said I don't have one but I need to take care of this today. Thank God the person that he had Scheduled appointment with was 12 minutes late. He was able to help me and I'm so grateful. The manager handled a situation concerning a male customer who was very demanding, and made untruthful complaints, Because the bank couldn't do things his way or honor his demands. He wanted to say that the bank didn't have enough tellers working. That was not the case. The man was being a total jerk! Clearly he has a narcissistic personality and wanted things his way. I was a long-time BofA customer for years! About 4 years ago I had some bad experiences with them and decided to give Chase a try. Denise was the one that opened my account for me back then. She was very helpful and very pleasant. Today, I had to come back in to deal with an issue and once again, Denise was right there to help me. She was patient while we had to make a call, and she made sure the issue was resolved. My review is to give a big THANK YOU to Branch Manager Connie. because of confidentiality reasons I will be leaving some information out. I went in during my lunch break to get some really important stuff done. Because we were misinformed at our regular branch I was a bit upset that I wasn't able to do what I was there for. Well then one of the tellers told me to wait a minute and went to Connie. Connie then asked me to go into her office. She explained the details on why I couldn't get it done but she offered me different possibilities that would help me out. I was limited on time and she said she would be there when I was off work. I left and came back after work. She was waiting for me and even though she was going to have someone else helping me she ended up going through it all with me. Opened up a new account for me and everything. She took some weight off my shoulder and I was able to do what I had to. She was super understanding, polite, and very sweet. I will definitely do my banking there now. Thanks Connie!! Tip for the tellers at this bank: if you are new or you just simply do not know the answer to something, don't just stare at the customer blankly. Tip goes to all branches especially the Downtown LA branch that misinformed us: I think everyone should have knowledge of information at their job and if they are unsure it is okay to say "give me a minute, I will get the answer for you" so you do not misinform. Absolutely worst service ever ! Coming in here on a Friday and realizing there is only three employees here to help all twenty customers was very uncomfortable . Fridays are naturally a busy day at the bank, and with so much to do i got Ina really bad mood . Employees had no sense of urgency for their customers. Branch deserves 10 stars I came in to the branch 5:38 pm ( I came in a few minutes before closing time ) Waited for about 20 minutes and the manager greeted me , she not only helped me to order a replacement debit card that was lost but also managed to refund some fees I had received from another branch! It was completely uncalled for (in a good way) . She mentioned that she refunded me since I waited for them to attend me but I couldn't have been more surprised. Very kind and thoughtful of her . This is definetely going the extra mile for customers. It's 15 minutes more of a drive , but this will now be my default branch . I couldn't have had a better experience. read more

The branch manager was unwilling to assist us with purchase of foreign currency in an effective way. The manager did not ask how to better assist us, manager was unwilling to contact another branch, and unwilling to assist in a friendly or timely manner. All customers all valuable regardless of age, however at this branch a young adult is not treated respectfully. read more

This bank is awesome! Well what makes it awesome is the fact that they help you out with whatever it is that you need in the best way possible, especially Connie. Someone give her a raise haha she goes out of her way to help you learn a simpler and faster way to do your transactions and then still offers you coffee before you leave.
