I got off today early so I can make it there and I got there at the front doors at 4:58pm and when I walked in the second doors were already locked and there was customers in line inside, and I looked at the lady to see if she was gonna service me instead they stood there and laughed at me, especially after I let them know that I just got off work and it's important because I won't have the another opportunity during the week to try to take care of my business with them.. this place is lousy. They took two weeks to cash a check and I have been doing business with them for over two years and they've been pretty lousy lately especially this location. So imagine somebody holding your money and when you need it for two minutes, you cannot get it. Why hold your money with these people when they won't give you the opportunity to access your money. I would not recommend to come to this bank of America. I'm actually planning on dropping them completely. I also run a business and I work for a business never would we turn down a customer or laugh at them especially when it's not even 5 o'clock yet they're supposed to run until five and they had customers inside. This is ridiculous. These people must really not want to work.

The woman in front of me was talking for about five minutes with the supervisor of the tellers about a deed she had in Texas, and after waiting, and after about six other people came in after me and got into the regular teller line, the supervisor told me that there was no longer a merchant teller line. I pointed out to her that there was a sign indicating that that window was for merchants, but she told me that didn't matter, I had to go to the back of the regular line and wait my turn. I decided that I would try the ATM just outside, and as per usual, their outdated ATM would only accept one of my eight checks. I then ran some errands and came back when there weren't so many people in line. Given my earlier experience , I learned my lesson, and I got in the regular line. I noticed that there was a man in the merchant teller line waiting for someone else to finish her business. When I saw that the teller at the merchant window was finished with her customer, the supervisor of tellers came to the window and told the gentleman in front of me in the regular line that he needed to wait for the man who was in the merchant teller line to be taken care of. The supervisor then chatted it up with this customer, and when it came time for me to go to this window, she realized that she had given me the shaft once again and made sure to walk away so that I couldn't talk to her about what happened or even see her. I guess croneyism is alive and well in Oregon City at the Wells Fargo. I would recommend going someplace else. Other banks have ATMs that actually take checks, and they actually have tellers who have a sense of professionalism.

We've had my husbands payroll check deposited in our account from the same company for the last three years. We had a paper check from his company cut to us and bank of the west decided our account doesn't have enough money put into into on a regular basis to release our money to us. Which is absolute bull. There are thousands of dollars deposited monthly. So they put a 10 day hold on a pay roll check and a hold on an IRS tax refund check. Since when doesn't the government bounce checks? I was told that "some people, are ok with holds being placed on their money" and that "it's not like you can't spend your money, you have a goldline account." Which translated means "use your overdraft protection so we can collect fees on you every time you overdraft. After COUNTLESS phone calls I'm in the process of getting the holds reversed and getting our money released to us. Soon as that happens, my account will be closed and I'll be moving on to a credit union where I should have been banking to begin with.

This is the worst bank I have ever used, and this particularly branch in Oregon City is the worst…read more I have been treated incredible poorly by their employees and their branch manager, Leslie Ramsey. When opening my account, I inquired about check holds and was told it was a one day hold period with some funds released right away. However, they hold new account checks for 9 business days. While out of town for work, I had my co-worker deposit my check for me, but I didn't receive my money as I should. After calling around, it was determined that they would hold my check for those 9 business days. I spoke with Leslie Ramsey, branch manager, about this stating that this check was the only current money I had and needed it to buy groceries and fuel to get to work. Additionally, I had a very important payment I needed to make regarding my car that was already late because of this check hold. She said she would investigate it, but refused to release any of my paycheck so I could just get by. It has now been over a week since I got paid, and have received no money from it. The check cleared my employers account days ago, and so far no one can explain to me why I don't have my money. Leslie and her fellow employees at this branch showed no compassion and were brazen and rude to me. Leslie said she would get back to me in 48 hours, and I have still heard nothing from her and she hasn't returned my calls. I am infuriated by how this situation is being handled. There have been serious repercussions from not having this money available to me including late fees for bills, car getting repossessed, and being unable to feed myself this last week. Suffice it to say, I will no longer be banking at any locations, but caution anyone using the location in Oregon City. Leslie Ramsey and her team need to be mindful of how they handle situations and make sure they give out correct information. I feel they need to disclose to any new account holders about the 9 business day hold on checks regardless of someone going out of their way to ask about it. The fact that they don't is shady and unprecedented. While I am still awaiting the release of my funds, I have been told it will be available on the 4th, the day before I get paid again. There were so many opportunities to do the right thing, yet Leslie and her team have failed. This has been a travesty for me and have sought counsel. My lawyer will ensure the parties involved are held accountable.

While refunds did happen quickly there have been no changes to procedures or protections put into place to protect you from fraud/embezzlement. We have been victims of check fraud with this branch multiple times where checks with no information on me or the bank is shown, but the routing number was to my account. No fail safe to review the check, no fail safe for large funds, no fail safe to review check details, nothing. Given the accuracy of the efforts it is hard to be certain if this is an inside issue or external and the bank won't discuss anything or advise to any changes being made. Ultimately the only option was to move funds or lock accounts. Others in Oregon City should be aware as this is likely a wide spread issue and they are just hoping to hide from the situation. I removed an earlier post from two weeks ago in hopes we would get something to help us feel safe with this location, alas nothing. Be wary with your funds and i suggest seeking out any other financial institution. Both fraud cases involved losses of over $40,000. If i don't say something, then i am just a part of the problem in a community. Watch out!

In my 7 years as a Citizens Bank customer, I can count on one hand the number of times I've had to wait in line to make a transaction. In fact, when I needed to get into this century and learn the online banking system...Michelle...who is sort of the go to at the branch...walked me patiently through the process. When my business needed a loan...Jimmy was huge in that process...yes..they help businesses too! And when I needed to link in with some local events..David, the branch manager just seems to know everyone in town..so he is a fantastic person to talk to. They have a drive up window, but it doesn't get used as much, because customers like to go in and see Teri, Becky, and Crystal to work on their accounts. I can't count the number of times I've gone in there in a crabby mood..and left with a smile. There are various locations ranging proximity from Corvallis up to Tualatin. I'm not sure about the ATM aspect of working with Citizens Bank....but I'm sure that they have reciprocal agreements with other bank ATM, a lot of the boutique banks do that. In fact, that has never been an issue for me and I live in SW Portland and work in the OC. If you live in proximity of a Citizens Bank branch...it really is worthwhile to stop by. You'll walk in a stranger and leave as a friend. Yes, that's corny, but its true!
