I first visited another branch in the area and unfortunately they were not very helpful--they gave me incorrect information about how to process my name change while closing old accounts/going onto a joint account with my husband. When I came into the St. Francis location, I met with Kim, who was super nice and helpful. She followed up with me multiple times over the next week to keep me updated on the status of my accounts. Everything went smoothly, and she also shared some tips for quickly processing my banking changes that ultimately saved me a trip back to the branch, which I appreciated. Thanks Kim! I…read morehave been a patron for over 20 years, but am transitioning to another bank due to the decline in services within this branch as well as at the corporate level. The fees are significant and unfair, and the lack of staff knowlege has resulted in account errors that have been costly (depending on who you ask you will likely get a different answer). Should you make a mistake on your register (for example forget to deduct a random autopay from your balance) you will be charged $35 per item (even if the withdrawal is for less than $1) in the order they came in. Within a day this mistake will easily and unfairly cost you over $200 and common sense cannot be negotiated, and they won't consider reversing the fees no matter how silly they seem. So, if you are at any risk of making a simple mistake on your register for less than a cup of coffee, I recommend you bank elsewhere. Its unfortunate, because switching banks after 20 years is a pain but makes sense for me...because chances are I will at some point forget to add that cup of coffee to my register and I will need some understanding and grace from the person I am speaking with at my bank so that it doesn't become a $200 mistake. A few months ago, I had a restaurant incorrectly charged me over $1000 on my bill (I paid with my credi/debit card). I didn't realize it until the next day when I looked at my bank account online. Since then, I have opened a new checking account there and she as well as the other employees at this branch were so helpful. Next I will be opening a savings account there. Daniel helped me right away and when I inquired about a wire versus a cashier's check, whichever was cheaper, he recommended the cashier's check given the wire cost. That worked just fine for me and within a minute I had everything I needed to go on about my day. The entire transaction was seamless and he even gave me an envelope to put the check in. I added my wife, who was also a previously on my account and has held a mortgage and a car loan with the credit union. I asked to set up the fast cash feature of the bank app (so I could deposit checks with my phone). I've used similar services at other banks, and I've never had issues. I was told it would take several business days to get it activated. Weeks later it was still not working, so I called again. This time I was told the feature world not be activated for a year. I protested as said that someone else had a agreed to activate it. They apparently dug up the phone call and listened to the conversation, and agreed to activate the feature, but said typically that they wouldn't do it for one year. Today I deposited a $250 check, and then tried to deposit a $1500 check. I was told I exceeded the limit for deposits. I would deposit the check in person, but only the drive through is open, and it's habitually under staffed, with a line of cars around the block waiting for service. ECU does not meet my expectations, I intend to find a new bank.

This is by far the worst experience I've ever had at an bank I don't know where to begin…read more I'm not going to say names but they know who they are, I went into the bank to cash a check from check in go. I was referred to go to that bank from them cause do lots business with them. I tried to cash the check they couldn't verify the check so they decided to try to keep the check and wouldn't give it back to me craziness who does that. I called the cash store to get them verify it they wouldn't ever pick up the phone for them, I got the branch manager on the phone and they disregard there phone calls. It was the most ridiculous unprofessional and terrible customer service that I've ever witnessed in my life. After about 45 minutes of waiting dealing rudeness and disrespect finally somebody okay the check and they cashed it. They tried to apologize to me about the situation it was nothing to say Obviously you had a different agenda or you thought a certain way about me I really think this was some racism played into it too. I said to unprofessional teller since you're apologizing to me do me a favor give me a money order they couldn't do that because I wasn't a customer there smh. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I also will be filing a complaint with the corporate office and write as many reviews as I can on Google , Yahoo etc. A person shouldn't have to go through what I went through, made me feel really really bad and I was embarrassed.
