When we started the processing of buying the 2 homes on one parcel, it seemed like it would be easy. Well, it took 96 days from start to finish with a lot of aggravation along the way, with lack of communication on First Federal's side of the process. Now 2018 comes around and I'm having to call First Federal for my 1098, again. I start looking at the 1098 and they only paid 2 out of the 3 parcels. First Federal didn't pay the parcel our houses sit on. I go to the Auditor's website and First Federal of Lorain didn't pay July of 2017 property taxes, which they are escrowing for. Now there's a late fee. I call First Federal on February 6 and speak to Donna and she blamed the bill on the previous owner. Donna also said she would call me back on February 7 to explain it all to me. Well, that phone call never came. Funny thing is, First Federal paid all the property taxes in February of 2017 but then didn't pay all the property taxes in July of 2017. I have sent letters to the President, Vice-President and Asst. V.P. of Loan Servicing on February 8, 2018 and have heard nothing. I have also, requested receipts of the late property taxes being paid with them paying the late fee and NOTHING!!!! Again, LACK OF COMMUNICATION AND NO CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE LENDING DEPARTMENT!!!!!!!

Today I took her to the Amherst downtown location @ 2:45 PM. One teller , one other employee in an office and the lobby was empty. The teller said "no one can do that for you today and you will have to make an appointment sometime next week". My mom is 90 and its hard for her for her to get around so it was an effort on her part to make it to the bank. The teller then said "if you want to wait an hour maybe they can do it". 3 PM on a Friday with an empty lobby and no one can do a basic banking task ? The other really cool thing about the Amherst location is no one answers the phone. sometimes all day. The main bank should fire everyone at the Amherst location and start over or just do everyone a favor and close it. If you are too lazy to answer your business phone good luck doing any banking tasks at this location. Then there was the time I was getting a check ( for cash ) cashed for my mom and the teller 1st said she could not cash it unless I had an account there. My name was also on the check...... They were not able to make me a debit card onsite so I had to wait 7-10 days. Still not a huge issue as long as I can Zelle, which I was assured I could... I get home and try to Zelle to my other accounts and WHOOPS the banker forgot to inform me that I'm unable to use Zelle for 10 days on a new account but I can come into the branch with my id and withdraw cash. What good does that do me? I could've kept my cash on hand and done nothing with it instead of wasting my time going there at all. You can only Zelle small amounts of cash as well on new accounts so it still wouldn't have worked for me. At least be honest with your customers. The last straw was finally receiving my debit card and it's in the WRONG NAME. Lol how on earth does a bank send a card that doesn't match the name on the account?? Sorry, if you're too incompetent to handle simple transactions, trusting my money with you is not an option. Do better.

Very inefficient on following through on their end with a lot of excuses. I tried to set up…read moreautomatic payments for a loan and after 3 months was still unable to do this. I submitted 2 automatic payment forms starting in April on 2 separate occasions per their requests, had my bank write a letter that we were the signer on the account per their request, and lastly was told in June that 11 days before the due date was not enough time to set it up. Then the following month (July), the payment still never came out of my account. When I called, the girl gave me a couple of different stories and said she was confused because she deals with a lot of different accounts. After talking to her supervisor, I was told that it takes at least 15 days to set up but all loans must be current 15 days prior to the due date. Ive never had to jump through so many hoops to make sure a company gets paid. I decided to set up automatic payments through my bank instead (Huntington has always been great). Ive lost all trust in this company and after this loan is paid, I will never go through them again. My overall impression is a small unorganized company. When going through the drive-through, the tellers seemed nice enough.

I like going to this branch more so than the others because they aren't typically busy and there is always someone available to talk to if necessary. They have one 24 hour drive-thru ATM machine and one teller window that is open during regular business hours. My only gripe with this branch is that they often run out of deposit envelopes for the ATM machine over the weekends.
