Wanting 2 forms of ID to get my money out making me drive home.. why do I need 2 forms? My passport and having an account with you guys isn't enough? Today, I visited the Chase branch in Lodi to obtain a cashier's check. Despite providing four forms of identification (Chase Credit Card, Driver's License, Military Identification Card, and Social Security Number), I was denied the cashier's check because I did not have my debit card with me. As I am stationed in North Carolina and needed the funds to pay for construction at my rental property, this was highly inconvenient. Instead of finding an alternative solution, such as offering personal checks, the branch manager escalated the situation and asked me to leave the branch. I expressed my concerns without using inappropriate language or making threats. In contrast, the Chase branch in Elk Grove was able to assist me with only two forms of identification (Chase Credit Card and Driver's License). Due to this unsatisfactory experience, I have decided to move my funds to another bank. Horrible customer service! Manager sitting in the glass room doing nothing. Wanted to open a savings account that we received an email about that had a special offer. First person we talked to said we had to have an appointment. Really? There are three people sitting a desks doing nothing. Oh they are waiting on an appointment. WHAT? Finally a person came out and said they could start, but had an appointment. We started and abruptly stopped and were sent to the manager. The manager had no idea about the email offer and said they did not have that. REALLY? Of course we had the email, then we were told he didn't know about that and the offer was outdated! OMG!!! This bank doesn't even deserve 1 star. Completed a deposit at the ATM and it glitched. Nobody in the bank could help me. My son followed the teller to a room where Samantha Quesada sat and was explained the situation and she didn't even get up to come talk to me to explain what to do. But she sent her business card. The teller then tells me to look for the number on my ATM card and call. I was like you can't even help me call or provide me a telephone number. I was told to sit in the lobby and use my own phone. Thank God I have resources of a phone, right. Then I call the 1-800 number and they ask me for a transaction number that should have been provided by the bank. I was like who do I call to complain because nobody has come out to help me. So long story short I won't have my money for 8 days and I asked to speak to the branch manager who I understand was the vice president Samantha Quesada and she would not come out but she was sitting in her glass office doing nothing and alone. Next I was told she was busy. I have called several times to speak to branch president or to get his number and have been hung up on. Lovely. I've had positive experiences with the tellers they are kind and help answer my questions. Especially Anahi, she had assisted me several times and it's always been prompt and a positive experience. Today, I needed to withdraw crisps bills for Vietnamese New Years. I'm glad they had the various bills including 2's. She kindly took the time to hand pick the nicer, new bills for me - it's important cultural wise to my family and I. She also offered me red envelopes, which is a huge plus, because I ran out. There is never enough staff here and you always have to wait at least an hour to see anyone. Came here and watched the guy sit at his desk looking at his computer in the enclosed glass office with no customer in the room. This is very disatisfying as a customer. I've seen a few people get up and leave because it has taken so long to see a banker. It is currently 1:49 and the 12:20 person is not even crossed off! Horrible experience opening a business account. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else

Banker called me a few months in my personal phone that he is our banker and if I needed any business with the bank, just call or drop by. I sat down at their waiting area to wait for a banker. I was there for about 10 minutes. The lines were short. I went to one of the tellers, and he asked me what I was there for. I told him my business(wire transfer) and he told me to get in line with the teller, to which I did. I used to do this transaction with the banker and I was told by the banker who called me that if I needed to do this or any transaction, call or drop by. There were no instructions in the waiting area with procedures with time with the bankers. If the banker did not come out to ask, I would have waited for a couple more minutes. They used to have a signup sheet to talk to a banker. I guess that changed. But the least they could have done was communicate it properly. read more

When I Go to Yelp and see a business with 1 or 2 stars for the most part I instantly understand why. 7/15/22 I came to chase to cash my check the teller who was doing her job said she couldn't cash my check and In order to do so will require a hold on the check until the bank clears it, I've been told this before so it was no big deal I just usually ask to speak with a manager because I know they can override it. This all has happened before and I've never had a problem before. The manager or supervisor not sure which she was because she never specified refused to cash my check and stated that it was because of policy after I informed her that it's not a policy because I've cashed many checks before so if it was policy every chase would stand by policy, she then stated it's up to The bank discrepancy so I asked her "so your personally refusing to cash my check" she went back to its policy. I've had chase since 2004 most likely longer then she's been working there I've never had this problem before and if she would of taken her time to actually look through my account she would of seen that a certain amount of money is deposited into my account monthly which is 4x the amount I was originally cashing, I really felt discriminated against, and you can't just tell people anything especially when they've been a customer for years. read more

Very friendly customer service. Expected trouble withdrawing a large amount of cash for overseas trip, but no problem at all. Julianna was very helpful and checked the bills first to make sure they were in good shape, as worn bills are not accepted overseas. Went in to get an new ATM card after moving here from another area. The reason why it's even getting 2 reviews is because of the tellers in the front (because they are super courteous) so they get a 5 star for sure. I waited an hour because I had to see one of the people in the back. The young lady that waited on me lacked any personal connection & gave off an indifferent attitude. Almost makes me want to change banks but don't want to screw all my finances up right now so I'll wait and see how it goes. I have been banking here since before in this location was Chase Bank. I always get pretty good customer service with the exception of an unsolicited sales pitch for financial planning once or twice which I really didn't appreciate. This location is right between a Starbucks and an AT&T store, and even though it's all the way across town from my house, I make the drive. They have a drive through, and two ATMs; one outside and one in a small vestibule. I like that because I don't want to stand outside in the sun on a hot day. They usually have two to three tellers working, so the lines aren't that long for service. I can't give them 5 stars because I feel like they could offer more convenient services. I often need to exchange money for currency from other countries, and they will not order it for me over the phone, but otherwise I have never had a problem with this branch. read more

Man this branch location sucks!!! Apparently they only have 2 people to help people out if you aren't seeing a teller. And one person takes there lunch break 2 1/2 hours after they start work. Wow that's pretty early if you ask me. I have currently been waiting over 30 mins just to get some bank statements printed. I had a check which was drawn on a Chase brokerage account. I was going to use it to open an account there. The manager was snotty and rude for "bothering"his royal highness! He refused to cash the check drawn on their own bank! And he refused to open an account unless he did a credit check! I warned him I was trying to buy some real estate, so I didn't want to take a hit to my credit, by doing an unnecessary credit check. He still insisted. Let him know that I have been with another bank for 60 years, so I'm not going anywhere, and I can keep my business there, and make my deposits there too. This bank is the worst! I will never go here again. It's been a month since I have been trying to open a dedicated account with them. Then when I finally had an appointment , I left work early and drove out here just to find out Tony(who I had an appointment with)left and no one could call me and cancel my appointment?? So I wasted my time and gas going there for no appointment . Then someone said that he'd call me and reschedule. Well it's been 4 days and I still haven't received a call. Both bankers were aware of my wait time and chose to lolly gag and talk to their current customers without respecting the time of myself and the others waiting. Very disappointed. I was considering opening an account as I was sent a "junk" mail coupon. Its says open a savings and checking, maintain 15,000 balance for 90 days and they will pay you 500.00. Oh no....its 6 months and you "HAVE to do auto deposit". Well first of all, Okay, I'd do the 6 months but feel slimmed since its NOT on the coupon. this is regarding Chase Bank wire transfer service and the customer service over the phone. I (now regret) asking my daughter to assist (daughter has a Chase ACCT) in sending money $50.00 to my Granddaughter in Las Vegas. To a different (not Chase) Bank in Vegas. The money(and Chase online service keeps asking my daughter this question) whats the money for? It doesn't matter what its for. But i will say what its for, shoes for homecoming Dance this Saturday at her high school in Vegas. But heres the problem my daughter did the wire transfer last Friday (then labor day holiday) now it Wednesday and it hasent got transferred into my grand daughters Vegas bank but they have taken the money from my daughter Chase acct and she was charged $25.00 for this $50.00 wire transfer, but no money got transferred. You will love the excuse/ reasoning for the money taken out but not sent to Vegas bank, because of my grandaughter's name. Im not going to give grandaughter name but it sounds like a country in the middle east. (my grandaughters name is beautiful by the way). Its $50.00 dollars & charge $25.00 to wire transfer. My daughter is 7 1/2 months pregnant and hysterical because she is getting blown off by Chase (her own bank), they told her call in 24hrs. Again its $50.00 being transferred for shoes. When I called, all I got was it your Grandaughters bank not accepting money call them. Dont use wire Transfer though Chase ever, your name might be questionable. And the online service is horrible. Love love love these guys! I had a horrible experience at there tam oshanter location with Susan and almost closed my business account that I have had since it was still Washington mutual. I have never been talked to or treated so poorly then to have them threaten to close my account if I complained I was done with Chase forever. After calming down after being profiled and discriminated against and thinking it over and how great the Lodi branch has always been to me I think I will just avoid the tam oshanter branch and forever advise everyone to do the same.
