The banker who does notarizes documents is very friendly and answered all my questions with professionalism and precision over the phone. Tellers bring courtesy and professionalism to their work. I called this branch to ask if they could break two $100 bills for me and give me back smaller bills. They said they could only do $100. How ridiculous. I have an account here. When BOA just wasn't satisfying me, they open their arms with a $200 dollar bonus for opening a checking account. Then they offered me another $300 bucks to open a Chase Freedom Card and offered another $200 for a Chase Sapphire. They know me well. I'm easily persuaded with dough. This particular branch has been converted from WaMu and it got a pretty nice facelift. The ATM machines are modern with nice, responsive buttons. It's also a very safe and secure area, so I don't have to worry too much about getting mugged while depositing my minimum wage checks. The tellers here are friendly and the bankers are knowledgeable. Overall I'm pretty happy with this branch. About my Credentials: I had a lot of ambitions growing up. I wanted to save up my money, get a car, date the cheerleader, and eventually be crown homecoming king. So I got a job and started working at 14. I learned how to balance my checkbook, invest, and understand the credit game. Sadly, I miscalculated and realized that minimum wage wouldn't be enough for a tux rental, I repulsed women, and being Asian, I suck at driving. I did go to homecoming though, but by myself, and no one nominated me to be homecoming king. read more

Some local bank employees are great but the bank itself is corrupt. They suspended more than $28,600 of my funds because I had to close my accounts to change the account numbers due to ach debit fraud that they said they couldn't stop unless I closed the accounts. Beware of this unethical bank who are just a bunch of thieves who use your money to invest in stocks and real estate in return for not even .1% interest? which will crash and your tax dollars will be used to bail them out. Why I am moving to Chase and closing my accounts with BOA and WF it's a long story and many many bad experiences in different cities. That's tells you it's not a particular one branch experience it's the system or the basic training of these big ignorant banks who thinks they doesn't believe loosing few customers daily basis. We had 30 years home mortgage experience with Chase but we never pay attention having checking or saving accounts with them. Finally yesterday we stop by at Campus drive branch in Irvine and a very pleasant voice greeted us which was very unexpected after visiting BOA branch on Barranca Irvinve CA. Her name Jeovanna I hope I spelled right, one of a kindest and understanding person who helped us with different things and lots of paperwork. We spend 2 hours there and everything went smoothly and happily. Thank you so much Chase for having such a valuable worker who represents your company and your work. All Good Things to be said about this location: This is a full-service branch, with both a walk-up ATM and drive-up ATM-- which is really nice on the days that I just want to stay in my car. I really like how the ATMs include those new deposit mechanisms now. Definitely made life a little easier. Inside the branch the staff has been pleasant and helpful. There is free coffee and decaf offered at the front door. It's the closest Chase branch in the UCI area, and the neighboring Albersons, Starbucks and gas station make this my go-to Chase branch. read more

I've been coming to this Chase branch, or back in the days, Wa-mu branch for the past 6 years. I love how it has a drive through ATM, and it's so conveniently located right by UCI. The service has always been fast and good for me. The tellers are all very efficient and keeps the line at a minimum. They refuse to count your coins for a deposit, which is unforgivable. I know there is a coin counting machine in that building, even though they lie and say there isn't. I would close my account this instant if I wasn't too lazy. Also, their savings account earns something like 0.1% interest. what a joke! read more

Yeah, this place is pretty good. Never had much trouble with the tellers here - they're real friendly and super efficient. I've come in at all hours of the day while they're open, and I've never seen a line, even though there are at most only 2-3 tellers ever working at one time. They have an ATM outside, as well as a drive-through ATM, which is pretty nice. Also, they have free coffee inside, for those who don't want to pay for the Starbucks coffee next door. It's a great location - conveniently located next to Starbucks, a bunch of restaurants, and an Albertson's. read more

This chase has some of the worst customer service, out of all the chase bank's I've been to. They never seem to have enough people on staff. It seems anytime I'm in here, there are 5-7 people in line with 1-2 tellers. And maybe it's just my luck, but those tellers seem to be solving the world hunger crisis with their clients - they have to go in the back room, come back, verify signatures, go back to the back, get a manager...I mean really. I know and understand the security precautions but if you know you're going to be spending the next 15 minutes with somebody, and you've got a growing line...there had to be some solution to get the next wave of people through. read more

This is the worst branch of Chase I have been to. As a student, I came here to deposit checks and withdraw money. Their service is pretty expedient when no one is there. But that is almost never. They are always understaffed and the wait if 15+ minutes. No other branch of Chase I've been to makes their clients wait this long. Today, one of the bankers came out to help us who were waiting. After helping out an immigration student with some forms, he saw a pal of his who just walked in. After greeting them he began helping them instead of us who were in line. How professional! I was already pessimistic when they told me there was a 10-15 minute wait and 3 people in front of me while they only had 2 bankers working. They could also use some more lighting at this branch.... Rude, Unprofessional, and Lazy. That about sums it up. 2 names: Corey and Ms. Fatima. They should be fired, and yes, I used real names. Someone needs to be held accountable. I originally planned to start a liquid CD with this branch, but after today, I'm taking out my money and put it in U.S. Bank because of these 2 deadbeats. Want to know why? Read on. Corey, the financial advisor at this branch, treats one his male subordinates (o those poor souls) like garbage. And as a customer, this in itself is already unpleasant to watch. It's also rude because as a customer, I'm like a guest in your house. This is like fighting with your wife when you have a guest in the house, which is very rude. And that's not all. Recently, I had to close out a brokerage account because they lost me a lot of money, and that's OK, really. I blame the market, so whatever. BUT this "Corey", with a nasty attitude, told me that he couldn't help me because he's not my financial advisor (end of story). I responded by questioning that I am SURE he can contact that guy on my behalf, which is met with his resistance. I had to badger him to get him to do it. And he finally delegated it to one of his subordinates. Keep in mind that, this whole time, he was giving me a nasty attitude like I was touching his money. What makes matters worse, is that there is one other unprofessional person there. It's this lady, Ms. Fatima. The best phrase I can use to describe her is "a resentful greeter who hates her job, period." I came by the bank today to deposit a 20,000 check and meet with one of their advisors. She was incredibly rude to me. After depositing my check, the clerk told her politely that I'm ready to meet with advisor now. She responded by turning halfway to me and commanded "come here!" with this tone dog trainers use on dogs, and at the same time gesturing her hand like calling a dog over. Then, before I could respond, she turned around and begins to walk toward the destination. Wow, just wow. No, I didn't start a liquid CD with them today. Not today, not tomorrow, not ever. read more

Is reliability too much to ask of a bank? After the online application said it would take 30 days to give me a decision, I went in on Friday to open a travel credit card because I would be leaving for a trip for a few days. They ended up asking me for my social security card, which I didn't have on me and I wouldn't be available to come in until later. 4 American bank accounts and credit card, and nobody ever asked me for my physical card. I begrudgingly came in on Saturday and presented my social security card. The teller scanned it. Fatima said she would follow up with me and call me on Monday, so we could see if the card was approved. Monday morning - no call. I called the branch multiple times that morning - no answer. Finally got a hold of someone at around 1 PM and left a message for Fatima to call me back. I eventually called the Lending Department, who seemed to miss most of my information, even though I gave my correct information. Then, they proceeded to tell me that the scanned card had the incorrect name. Again, I went to the bank, angrily. Another teller went and scanned the card again and called the Lending Department. I asked if he checked whether the scanned copy was legible, and he told me that it would take another 4 business hours for the documents to reach the other department. Fatima popped into the cubicle and didn't even apologize for not calling. The branch was pretty much empty and she wasn't occupied. 4 hours to transmit a scanned card in 2018!!! The file shouldn't even be over 20 kb. So now I don't know if I'll get the card before my trip, and I really think everyone should expect a runaround if they come to this branch. read more

I've always gotten good service every time I went inside this branch. I'm not treated like I'm some little kid playing around with daddy's money. All my questions are answered and treated with a level of respect of one adult talking to another. Maybe it's just because it's so close to UCI that they're used to dealing with students. If you need a home loan, never use Chase or this branch. They are slow, unprofessional, lots of miscommunication among staff. They're unable to close escrow on time. I used the bank for over 10 years. I got very disappointed when I chose them for home loan. They give tons of promise, but never follow it through. Also, they are not punctual. They make you wait at least half an hour, with no apology and explanation. They have no customer service skill or education.
