The best part about this location is Bob, the mortgage guy. He splits his time there and the Woodlawn Kroger location just an fyi. It seems a few of the office people do. But if you need something from a loan officer or the sorts, this location definitely has those people. Bob's great at sitting down and explaining things that you may or may not get about a home loan. He does a great job of "dumbing it down" if you need him too (I'm blond... there I said it). Overall a quick easy in, easy out.

I've only been to a few locations where I didn't go to a teller, but the ATMs have always worked correctly and they've never complained about anything. This had a drive-thru lane for the ATM, which is convenient, and it had a touch screen, so you don't have to press the keys to the side of the display. The response was quick and accurate.

It seems like departments have no idea what is going on with each other. Documents are repeatedly asked for and sent but they continually do not get to where they are supposed to go. It seems like this process is going on much longer than it should. I am sure they do thousands of these types of loans a year and mine cannot be that complicated. Not only did he discriminate us, asking if we even had a social, but he was also not answering any of our questions. He sent us for a form which he could've easily printed off his computer. We left and returned within minutes with the missing items needed, all so he can repeatedly ask if we were documented and with legit socials. My boyfriend went in to cash a check that was issued by this bank and written by one of its own…read morecustomers. Instead of explaining the bank's policy, he was immediately told they couldn't cash the check and was directed to go back to his own bank--even after he explained that his bank had specifically instructed him to bring the check to the issuing bank. After he came back outside, I went in to try to help. I explained that the person who wrote the check was a customer at this branch. The employees even told me they knew her personally. I suggested they simply call her to verify that she had written the check, but they refused. We then drove to the customer's home, explained what had happened, and she returned to the bank with us. Once she arrived and confirmed everything, the check was cashed without issue. What was most upsetting was that no one apologized for the inconvenience or acknowledged how we had been treated. Instead, after we left, the bank contacted the customer to let her know we had come in to cash the check. That left us feeling as though we had been viewed with suspicion despite presenting a legitimate check and ultimately having the customer herself verify the transaction. The entire experience felt dismissive and disrespectful. My boyfriend, in particular, felt he was unfairly judged and stereotyped from the moment he walked in. Every customer and visitor deserves to be treated with professionalism, respect, and without preconceived assumptions. I hope management reviews how situations like this are handled, because no one should have to go through what we experienced just to cash a legitimate check.
