Previous experience: I always use the ATM at this site because you can deposit cash and checks in addition to regular ATM functions. Once I left my debit card in the ATM because of the chip, didn't realize for 12+ hours later. Upon realizing contacted this location and they closed my debit card so no one could use it (proactive!) and said they could print me a new one if I came in. Needless to say I went in the same day and was in and out within 15 minutes. What a relief! The have English, Spanish and Polish speakers at this location. Great to help anyone. Wish they had longer hours but it's like almost any bank these days

She spent 40 minutes with us setting everything up for us. There was probably about 20 different things that she had to do for us. She was extremely pleasant and thorough. I told my son that that was the best experience I have ever had at a bank. Seriously, at other banks (yea, I'm talking about TCF and US Bank) we always had to make multiple trips to get everything accomplished. Not here, with Linsey. This institution demonstrated a shocking level of incompetence and a complete disregard for its customers. They recently locked and closed my checking account, claiming a check I deposited was "fraudulent." Here is the unbelievable part: The actual owner of the check personally called BMO to verify the funds and authorize the transaction, AND Wells Fargo (the issuing bank) explicitly admitted the issue was entirely an internal mistake on their end. Despite having crystal-clear, undeniable proof from both the check writer and the issuing bank that absolutely no fraud occurred, BMO Harris management stubbornly ignored the facts and forced my account closed anyway. Even worse, they reported this completely fabricated "fraud" to ChexSystems. Their willful negligence has unjustly damaged my financial reputation and hindered my ability to open an account at another institution. BMO Harris punished me for another bank's admitted error and refused to look at the blatant evidence right in front of them. Their customer service and dispute teams are entirely incompetent and do not care about the truth or the livelihoods of their clients. The main branch in Elmhurst is very nice with a comfortable waiting area and espresso machine.
