My son went to open his first bank account with his first check from work. He was excited to feel independent and was let down. We visited Chase and learned you can only open an account M-F between 9-5 which is when the rest of the world works. It makes sense to provide customer service on the weekend since people work all week. There was a sign with a phone number at the bank to inquire about a mortgage. Why would I go with a bank who doesn't offer personal help when you need it. The only reason for two stars is the teller we spoke with was friendly and apologetic. I left Bank of America fir bad customer service and went to chase bank. Was happy for a while. They never placed holds or controlled what I can buy and what I cannot. But that has all changed. They sent me a email offering me to buy bitcoin from them personally. But I tried to purchase crypto off of Crypto.com and the denied my purchase. Very unprofessional branch. We opened a very business acct with Grace, and she told us they have to charge us for the temporary checks. We stated we just opened another business acct from another branch and they didn't charge us for temporary checks 6 weeks ago. Her reaction was very unprofessional and said it's impossible because the policy was changed 2 months ago. She was ended up changed her words while we were waiting for the manager show up and explain the policy, "actually the policy was changed at the beginning of April, which is 4 weeks ago". After the manager here, and the manager stated the policy was changed 6 weeks ago, which is right after we opened another acct at the different branch who offered free checks. We have no abilities to judge if the policy was changed or not and when it's changed. However, one thing we can confirm is the brand is very unprofessional, and with bad attitudes. They don't even care about the info they provide is accurate or not. The brand is not worth have us business connections and we wouldn't spend a penny there. read more

After more than 35 years of doing business with the same bank or should I say a bank that has sold it's name numerous times. Crocker bank, first interstate bank, Coast Bank, Washington mutual, finally to Chase relationship has come to an end. I have to say it has probably been long overdue. The service since Chase has taken over has gotten drastically worse. For the last three weeks I have been trying to get some paperwork completed in order to open a Vanguard account. Vanguard requested a letter on Chase stationary indicating the signers on my account. Chase does not have stationary and the managers are not allowed to write any type of letters on behalf of customers. After explaining this to Vanguard they sent me a form to have them notarize the information. Again they refused to sign and notarize a form Validating there information. This was not a fluke thing. I went to four different branches and each one was worse than the other. With Eastvale being overall the worst and most condescending. As a result I close to accounts that had been open for over 35 years and had a substantial amount of funds. The amazing thing was they could care less. I opened a new account at Farmers and Merchants Bank because I needed a bank and not a credit union. I have to say I was overwhelmed with the personalize service that I received. They type the letters that I needed immediately, notarize the letters, open my accounts and asked if there was anything else I needed and provided me with the managers phone number. I am kicking myself for waiting so long for doing this. If you are tired of the Chase run around and then making you do business their way I highly recommend you seriously consider changing also. Farmers and Merchants wonderful for a bank and Schools First Federal Credit Union amazing for credit union. Don't wait any longer you need to make the switch. read more

Went there today, 6/5/23 in the afternoon to discuss my business account and the supervisor greeted me. I explained that I need a persuasive business bank officer to conduct international transactions, and man o man, she was so rude! She was like, just call the customer service for what you need. Worst experience every wealth management private banker at this location is rude and very inconsiderate of peoples time. ONLY reason I went is because my parent bank with them and wanted to add me as a signor to their account. Honestly I felt like I was being interrogated and asked for way to much info. I'm going to start off with a big EFFFFFF You! My husband went in to the bank today to deposit money into my account. We have different bank accounts but I handle all the bills. So every month for the past 9 yrs he deposits cash into my account so I can pay whatever bills we have. Today he walked in with the slip filled out. The teller informed him he could not deposit cash. He asked what the reason and she just said its policy. So he tells her I'm not asking for any personal info I don't even need a balance just a receipt that says I deposited. I'm her husband. So the teller comes back with "then why don't you bank together?" does that even matter? So this goes on. She tells him "you can write a check out to her" then he tells her he doesn't have checks. I mean who even carries a check book anymore! This is ridiculous. I will be in there during the week to close my account. I have been an account holder since it was Washington Mutual but this really has me heated. Maybe it is just policy but the attitude given to my husband has crossed the line. He stayed professional and expected clear answers and all he got was a generic statement and questions into our banking decisions. read more

Today I had a transaction that required an in person visit and have attempted to call at the start of the open time to schedule an appointment because I was told I needed to do so. I work during their business hours and had 1 day off to take of my need. The phone constantly rang and rolls over to an automated message recording and it does not give an option for a call back. I continued to try for an hour and a half unsuccessfully and I'm sure when I walk in I will be advised that I need an appointment like I know I do for my business need. This is ridiculous. When I called the one 800 number they advised me they have no banking application to schedule appointments for the local branches so I have to just sit and wait till someone picks up the phone so I don't waste my time traveling over just to be told I need an appointment. Be more available for your customers since you took the "walk-in" options away! read more

My personal banker had her own resume' out---she was leaving....If I had wanted to be with Chase-I would have made the decision on my own..(went to Union Bank of California) Pro for the bank-they are in a good location, they have a nice drive thru and they have nice lobby ATM's --but they were all original to WaMu. read more

I recently moved from Chino Hills to Eastvale and this was the first time I came to this bank (also my last). After sitting down with a banker for 20 min. I was told to provide another form of ID. After providing two federal issued IDs, they were declined. That's not the worst part, after wasting 30 min of my time, I demanded to receive my deposit back and I was told I had to wait in line to get it back lol! After wasting 40 min of my time, I drove down the street to the Chase in Norco, CA off Hidden Valley, they were able to get me in n out in 15 min with no issues (they accepted my IDs). Excellent customer service. I had an old home loan with a bad interest rate and their loan officer called me to tell me I qualified for a better rate. I didn't believe her since Bank of America had told me similar stories previously and even though I jumped through all their hoops, they foreclosed on me. Well not Chase. They actually meant it when they said I qualified for a better rate. They held my hand through the entire, simple process and we closed escrow within a few weeks on a very good loan. I am one happy customer. Also, this particular branch is where I do all my business banking and I've had excellent customer service every time I go in there. read more

Took my 7 year old son to experience the process of depositing his piggy bank money and was frustrated with the long line and only two cashier booths open. When we finally made it to the cashier we were told to step aside to wrap the coins we had and then get back in line. I was not happy about that. Second order of business was to get a document notarized, but I wasn't able to accomplish this because they had no notary on site that day. UGH!!! When asked if there would be a notary available the next day, no one knew for sure. Obviously customer service is not a concept Chase is focusing on. read more

This bank is awful! Poorly run. Worst decision is when they made it robotic with mostly ATM kiosks instead of real human tellers! The line is always 5-10 people long for real tellers and only 2 human tellers..while the machines just take up space! I prefer to bank at the Chase of Schleisman where it's more personal and the bankers and tellers actually know your name. The few times I have gone it has taken at least 30 minutes in line just to deposit a check and pickup a check registry. The day laborers hanging out right outside the bank pickup jobs 10x faster than for bank customers to get serviced by a human being! Totally unacceptable! read more
