The teller counter is hidden in the back. When I walked in, I had to be directed to it. The teller I interacted with was kind, but as she was almost done processing my transaction, she informed me I would be charged $10 because I'm not a customer. I was cashing two checks from Chase Bank, yet Chase wants to charge me because I'm not a customer. Seriously? I'm wondering why the teller didn't start with this information rather than going through the whole process and then delaying me to cancel it? I will actively be telling people not to bank here. Worst banking experience I have ever had. All I had to do was to transfer $500.00 to a friend in Canada. I have done it before from my desktop. Apparently they have new policy where I can't e-transfer money out of my own account! So I called "Customer Service" and got someone in China who knew nothing about navigating their system, wasted 30 min. of my time. Then they transferred me to tech support and I hung up. I called back again, and got someone in India who also knew nothing to help me. So I had to leave my job and go to the bank. I got there and asked why I could no longer transfer money out of my own account, and got a whole song and dance that ended up them not traning their own customer service being the excuse. Then they confirmed all the information I gave them was correct and I thought we were wrapping it up when they said "that will cost $50.00". I couldn't believe they were trying to charge me $50 to e-transfer money. It had cost zero in the past! My friend in Canada said it cost zero to e-transfer to me 3 weeks ago. Then they handed what looked like a contract which I had to initial every entry, which I dutifully did until it came to a series of numbers that were XXX'd out. I told the associate I wasnt' signing any dislaimer or contract with undisclosed information on it (I think it's purpose was to release them from liability even though they confirmed all the information I gave them themselves!). At that point I said NO THANKS and this is BULLSH*T. She abruptly got up and tore it up and needless to say I will be closing my account. This should have been a simple transaction it took all afternoon for NOTHING. RUDE STAFF, and sleazy, weird stuff going on with this bank. I think they are not wanting anymore small businesses and that's fine, I'll take mine elsewhere. The overseas incompetent customer service is an insult to anyone who is a customer, just them not wanting to pay fair wages and train their customer service and don't mind if you waste an afternoon off work dealing with them. The branch was the old walk in shipwreck at 183 and 620. They are also a bad community neighbor who lets their closed drive thru fill up with homeless and instead hiring security for their private property. People, don't use them. They do not care about Americans or communities, just greed, greed, greed. Use your local banks or credit unions. I also called my personal banker about this but her number was disconnected, lol. Background - ATM has 5 cars and 1 car in the drive-through. I decide to do a Business transaction in the Business window. I pulled up and state I want to do a deposit. I hand over my information for the transaction. 10 plus minutes later my transaction was complete. The 5 cars in the ATM line plus 3 others had gone through and the other car in the drive through bay. They have 3 drive through bays. The part being slow, but me having to overly verify who I was. The subtle hint of bias was definitely shown during this transaction. I long for the day that race is not an issue, but my treatment was more than a normal transaction. This was a simple cash deposit in my mind, but turned for whatever reason through the drive through area. read more

I started coming to this Chase about 2 years ago. 99% of my visit are through the drive thru. I only went inside once, which was due to a lost credit card. The drive thru is convenient as it is next door to the HEB I go to. Unfortunately it seems the time I go is the same time the sun shines on the screen. Yes, I am the one who puts the newspaper/magazine over the screen so I can read it. There were a few times it was out of money or not working. Mostly it works and I am the only one in line. The one time I went in, I was greeted at the reception desk in the front. She stated all reps were busy but if I could tell her my reason for visit she would put me on the list. Once I gave her the info, she plugged me into their computer. Surprise!! I am a Private Client and went to the top of the wait list. Yes, all of my banking, investing, and credit cards are with Chase and it earns me privileges. The Rep who worked to cancel my card and get me a new one on the stop was very helpful and pleasant. I would have been out of there under ten minutes but we ended up chatting about some of the Chase people we both knew. I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to anyone. read more

Stopped in yesterday for help with a fraud issue. I have always had fantastic help at this branch from Chris, so I go in to this branch to see him. He wasn't available, so I saw Rochelle instead. Worst mistake ever. She was incredibly smug and acted like she was doing me a HUGE favor, kept on telling me how long it would take, made me feel like I was wasting her time, and was very rude. It was the absolute worst service I have ever had at this branch or at any bank. I have been with Chase for 30+ years and she was, by far, the rudest most inconsiderate banker I have ever had with them. She made me feel terrible and I left without achieving anything other than feeling crap over this experience. So much so that I never want to go in this branch again because of her. When I asked her if her manager was there, she wasn't even that bothered- implying that I was the problem. That was the final straw for me. I hope someone from this branch sees this and talks to her about it so it doesn't happen to anyone else. I wonder if she is only there because they are short-staffed and they are desperate for help? It is the only reason I think she is there because, if she treats all of her customers this way, Rochelle should not be in customer service- her attitude speaks volumes about how much she hates it. read more

Used to bank with Chase years ago. Had problems with them holding onto transactions for a couple days until they got in bigger items then re-orchestrated their deposit dates in order to draft me with a horrendous number of overdraft fees. Couldn't find anybody willing to do anything about it so I close my account. Went back a decade later. Can't say things have improved. All customer service is outsourced. You're lucky, if you understand the person you're talking to on the phone. Service inside the branch is on a whim. If they have a policy in place, and they don't like the way you look or they are having a bad day then they can choose not to help you based on you, not being able to verify who you are Even if you presented them with a state ID. For example, if you lose your phone and you go in there asking to make a change to your account just your ID is not acceptable. They will asked to text you a message for verification and if you do not have your phone with you and or you have lost it you're out of luck. The person behind the counter is train to tell you know if they don't feel like you are trustworthy Bank fees or 1299 a month. This is if you don't have direct deposit. If you work for yourself, or you work for a company that does not offer direct deposit, then you will have to pay that monthly fee. You really are paying for the privilege of having the ability to get money from your employer by using this bank. read more

While this location isn't the cleanest, it definitely makes up for it in service. Upon arrival I was greeted by Christopher who was actually helping another customer. He made my 30 minute wait very bareable by assuring me he would help me after his current customer. While helping me he had a smile on his face the whole time. BAD BAD BAD experience with this particular Chase location. If there were option for "no star" I would chose it. I promised myself I would never step in their door step anymore. I had $1300 check and requested $800 cash back, they said they could only give me $200 because of their bullshit policy. I told the teller that I've never had trouble doing same thing in other locations and I've never heard about that policy before. I went into the bank, because I had a question regarding my mortgage, and while i was there, I wanted to make a deposit. So, I go to the table, write a check from a non-chase account, and since there were only 2 personal bankers there and I was going to have to wait, I went to the teller to make the deposit. When the deposit was done, the teller informed me that I could have used the drive through or the lobby atm to make the deposit, that I didnt have to go to the teller lane....when I got to the counter, they were assisting, 1 man..and there was no one else in line. This teller, must have thought I was too stupid to know that I could have used them and chose not to She had no idea that I was in the bank to do other business....and she made me feel that I was the biggest inconvenience of her day. read more

I have been banking with Chase Bank located on 1200 N Bell Blvd. Cedar Park, TX. for approximately 2 years. I own a small local business, which requires me to visit the branch almost daily to make deposits. This note is to extend my heartfelt appreciation for the outstanding customer service I receive every time I enter the bank. There are two incidences that I believe are particularly noteworthy. Firstly, a few months ago there was a miscommunication over the phone with a Chase phone support person. This mistake ended up causing me over $600 and lots of frustration. I strongly believed that the Chase phone operator was at fault, thus I should get my money refunded. The person investigating the case disagreed and informed me that there would be no reimbursement. I spoke to the branch manager Laura Harmon about the matter and she "went to bat" for me. The Chase investigator later called me to say that the decision was reversed and that I will be getting my money back. This was a direct result of Laura's commitment to excellence in customer service. Thank you! Secondly, I'm a goofy customer that likes to walk or drive around with my parrot wherever I go. Today, I was delighted to find out that one of the bank tellers Linsey Werling purchased parrot cookies to give to my feathered friend whenever we stop bye. This uncommon act of generosity and thoughtfulness embodies the entire culture of this particular bank. Whatever magical happy potion you guys are sipping on, don't stop! read more

I went in to close my account and what should have been a ten minute ordeal turned into a 30 minute experience waiting for the ONE available banker to change the address of the person in front of me.
