They have NO SECURITY, no way to make your account and card safe. In fact I've had to get a new card because of continual fraud charges. At least 2 x a year every you have to dispute a charge and have your card cancelled because they have no security read more

This place closes at the drop of a hat, calling the phone line is pointless, I'm going to close my account soon. Words cannot describe how infuriating it is to try to get anywhere when talking to someone. They're friendly and all, but I can't get ahold of anyone now to ask why my privilege pay fee has been charged 3 times in a row on the same instance of using privilege pay, putting me an extra $90.00 in the hole. The good: they have very good rates on loans. I've opened 2 loans with them in the past 6 months, the most recent being today. The not-so-good: every employee that I have dealt with has been sub-par, and their processes are antiquated. We made an appointment to go in today to this branch in Round Rock. They needed 2 signatures each from my wife and I for a very simple transaction. Other credit unions use DocuSign or similar technology for something so simple. Not Amplify. OK, so there technology is old, and we had to go to the bank in person - not the end of the world. But despite making an appointment 4 days in advance, they did not have the paperwork printed when we arrived. The paperwork was all of 5 pages. For some reason, it took the person that we were dealing with 20 minutes to get those 5 pages printed. When we politely inquired the reason for the delay, he just laughed it off, and did not even bother to apologize. We had a similar experience, fraught with multiple errors (that always inspires confidence in a bank, huh?), when closing on a different loan product at a different branch. That guy acted liked he had never seen a loan document before. Two different branches, two different products, two different loan offices, two different closers... but ONE result - bottom-rung people that didn't seem to have a clue about their jobs and no interest in customer service. They only get the 2nd star due to low rates. So, Amplify, I will continue to take your money when you are willing to lend it so cheaply, but you won't ever get a deposit account of mine with the consistently poor customer service I've received. read more

I prefer using credit unions mostly because they're "member owned". Having an account at this bank means that you own a small piece of this business. Your money is being loaned to other members but you also get a piece of interest when the loan is being paid back. They are not for profit companies. They are not selling you down the river. Being small they won't have locations everywhere and you'll likely have to use an ATM from another bank. Credit Unions are pretty much linked to all the others on networks now so I can actually do the banking with my credit union in Alabama at my local Amplify location. Since there aren't ATM locations everywhere Amplify uses an incentive that reimburses fees if you use any ATM from their credit union network. You don't have to save the receipt and file for the reimbursement it happens automatically. This location is the closest to our house. We rarely have to visit because most stuff can be done online. The parking at this location can be a bit crowded. The people are incredibly nice though they can get swamped right before closing sometimes. Weird bonus is the coinmaster machine in the lobby that will count and deposit change into your account. And they always have cold bottled water for visitors. It's the little things... read more

Their system takes for ever to deposit money. I get paid on the 1st. If the first is on a Sat, then I don't get paid until the following business day. Which, if Monday is a Holiday, Then I dont get paid until the 4TH!! Huge issue if you live in an apartment. Their systems are always under maintenance, so I have been left out high and dry a couple of times. It's always fun to not have access to your account when you are out eating dinner with friends Their online check deposit never works. It will take the picture, but will always say that is doesn't meet their requirements. So wind up having to go into a branch anyways. We have had our accounts Hacked 5 times in 3 years. They take 4 days to process ach payments. A bit of a hassle at times when budgeting/balancing books. IF you have two savings accounts tied to a checking account, their system will automatically pull from the account with the lesser amount. Doubles the fees for you, and more money for them.... For instance, we are moving to a new place and paid our deposit and rent 3 weeks early to be on top of things. after 4 days of "processing" they processed the payment at the same time as another, which unfortunately, we were $7 dollars short from clearing both. Instead of pulling funds from our large savings account, they pulled from the saving account we never use and charged us a $30 fee, a $10 dollar fee and returned our online payment to the new complex. So, now we look like assholes to them, and get dinged with their fees. Oh, and not to mention, when we joined we signed up for paperless statements. It took 2 1/2 years to get their system to stop charging us $2.50 a month for statements for each of our accounts. We had to re-submit documents countless times many times to correct this error. unfortunately, amplify hates you as a customer. if you have a problem that they could easily help you fix it your credit,they are going to choose your money over you. they aren't there to help you, they are there to exploit you. they could make a simple fix, but they won't, because "reasons." I had a problem with the autopay and it caused a few hiccups and I had some payments that were barely past a month. i asked them if they could do me the courtesy of taking them off, nope. because f you customer, your money is all that matter and we're not here to help you... if you use amplify, just know that these greedy effers aren't going to make the slightest effort to help, unless that means helping drown you, then theyll be glad to hold your head underwater. go to any other bank. We were so happy and telling everyone about this credit union but now that a lady named Roofia is no longer at the credit union off 183 this place has lost its value. We do not have a bank account here but my employer does, so I went in to cash a check and they asked for my id and credit card. And due to Amplify policies, they couldnt cash my check because my credit card wasnt signed on the back.... so my ID means nothing? I also provided him with 3 credit cards, a costco card, and a business card, but nope. So i simply said "so i can sign my credit card now" and he said "it has to be signed prior" so basically i can sign my credit card and go to another amplify and get this cashed since all you need to verify me is a signature on the back of my credit card... I am extremely upset of how Amplify is handling services here! I tried to deposit money into my account back in September and come to find out the bank was closed and the atm in the bank was non working. They left a note on the bank door stating we would have to travel to another location way out of my way. Keep in mind I was on my lunch break trying to get this done! I don't have time to travel to a different location in such a short time frame! The do have another location in my town however it was by appointment ONLY! Which only makes me more upset!!! I tried again today to go deposit money at a different location in the town and on the atm it stated as of August we no longer deposit checks or cash deposits, and again you couldn't go in the bank only by appointment only! I called the # on the bank door to speak with someone and the person I spoke to told me which locations I had to travel to make the deposit and they were trying to keep there employees safe!! What about your customer service without customers you would have NO BANK!!! Amplify you just lost a 7yr customer!!! read more

I have had an auto loan for almost 3 years with Amplify. That will change in the coming days. The loan assistant at this branch is rude and would barely give me the time to apply for an application. She just kept telling me I could do it online. If I would have wanted to do it online I would have but I wanted to speak to a person. Either way, if you want a bank that treats you like a client and not a number you may want to stay away from Amplify. I am in hopes that the lady who treated my like complete crap this morning sees this review and is reprimanded by her upper staff because she should not be around customers at all. Maybe keep her in a back office so she doesn't have to be bothered by customers that are paying her paycheck. read more

Today I received outstanding service, as well as a pleasant attitude from each individual working in your branch. I have been dealing with another Amplify branch in Round Rock in the past, and unfortunately I have nothing good to say about they're service. I can go on and on about how horrible the other branch is , no need . You guys restored my faith in Amplify Credit Union. Just because a person is past due on they're loan, that does not give any person with a CUSTOMER SERVICE role the right to be rude, or treat the person in a way to make the past due person feel belittled, or start to have a completely negative outlook on the contact they themselves set up.
