We haven't changed the Drivers License yet, but, it's the same person, same first name & middle name, same joint account we are the SAME customers, we just need to replace a lost card. CHASE MANAGER: ‍...The last name is different on her ID even tho it's the same account, same first & middle name, you answered all the questions correctly, BUT, the last name is different. Had to make a stop to grab some cash for reasons I don't feel like explaining. As I enter the branch, I'm greeted by Ashley, who I later found is the branch manager. Ashley was genuinely pleasant, warm, and welcoming. I had a question about a personal matter, and she answered with knowledgeable feedback. She even offered helpful tips and tricks to make the process easier when I was ready to deal with the matter. As I was finishing up with Ashley, she directed me to the teller line. That's when I was greeted by Marrisa, I was in my work holiday scrubs, and she noticed my dinosaur holidays socks. We laughed and giggled bcuz we had so many things in common. We eventually got around why I was there (lol). Marrisa also helped me with some tips and tricks to utilize my digital wallet from my phone. I was unaware of some of the features my phone had. I thanked her and was able to go straight to the atm and take care of what I came for. Saving time because the bank is crowded on Fridays! I wanted to take the time and highlight Ashley, the branch manager, and Marrisa, the associate teller. They both were genuinely friendly, inviting, and helpful. Guests relations are a hit or miss at this point. But this branch has definitely set the bar high for customer satisfaction! Everyone is always friendly and laid back. The teller and manager were huddled together whispering, double/triple checking the check making me feel as though I was doing something wrong. Did I hand them some note asking for money? She helped me to understand why Chase would not cash the check I had. All the Brea Branch, including Manager and Assistant Manager said was "No." without explanation. Nicole explained it fully to me. The customer service here is top notch!!! I have been to a lot of chase banks and I will drive out of my way to visit this branch! I needed Foreign currency last minute and was trying to call around to different chase branches in my area not once did I get an agent to answer the phone they just went to vm!. Finally I drove to the closest bank in Fullerton on Harbor to be greeted by a rude teller that gave me the phone number to this branch. When I called the agent on the phone was so sweet and let me know they had foreign currency and the hours on Saturdays. Machines do not replace people. If you have a question, don't waste your time calling. I called many times over three days because this is the only branch in the area that carries foreign currency, so of course I wanted to make sure they had the kind I need. No answer, ever. When I finally had the time to come in person it's obvious why I never got an answer-- there's nearly a dozen ATMs in the building and basically 1.5 tellers behind the counter. I spent way too much time traveling to this location and waiting in their ridiculous line to find out they didn't have what I need. If only they had a device where you can talk to a human being and find out information beforehand.... read more

This might be located in a mall but it doesn't make it a safe chase location. There is always someone in the parking lot harassing for money. Annoying location because all I wanna do is deposit money but I can't with all these vultures. I've been asked for money for drugs here, beer, a sweater, the bus, some gas, some food, funeral donations, and I highly doubt any one of those requests aside from alcohol and drugs were genuine. The other week at around 9 pm I went into the indoor atms where a chase card is needed to enter. I was trying to avoid a drunk man bugging me for money, but instead he easily unlocked the door and continued his requests for money. Today I denied a 20-23 year olds request for sweater money because he was cold, he then turns around to a person next to me with a completely different story. Gets denied a second time and has a tantrum and starts leaning on my car. I had to stare him down because I saw the boy fiddle in his pocket for his keys getting ready to key my car. This motherf**** was able bodied, get a job. The only reason I bestowed hope in this location so many times to experience this is because it's the closest one to me. I've been waiting about 45 minutes so far. I still haven't been seen. Someone who just joined our wait went before me. The banker supposedly "misread" from the list of names. How can one be so blind and skip two names on a list? Sounds iffy. I wouldn't trust a banker that makes such careless mistakes handling my money. Also, why wasn't the situation rectify immediately? Booooooo! Probably going to detour to any nearby Chase than this one. I don't have an hour to sit around waiting each time I want to do a simple transaction. The banker who made the mistake ended up servicing me. He apologized for both the mistake and wait. He said the branch typically gets that many clients and there typically is a wait. My suggestion, have at least 3 bankers available during those busy hours. Sitting there, I wasn't the only one who felt the urge to leave, I saw at least two other people leave because of the wait. Star for greeter, star for apology, star for getting the wire done P.s. My wire couldn't be completed the day of because of the time they finally saw me. Decent Chase location, which was one of the transformed WaMu locations. Staff is generally friendly, and they keep the lobby area pretty clean. There are three ATMs in the secured front area, and one outside. Parking has become more of a pain, however, since the Carson Mall keeps adding more and more stores and restaurants to draw people in. Now there's even a movie theater??? Good God!!!!! Definitely annoying if you want to drop in and out really fast. Around lunch time? Forget it! Probably easier to just come back later. As for the lines at the tellers inside, I usually just go to the business account line which is kind of a priority line. From what I have seen though, even the regular lines move pretty quickly, so that is a plus. I haven't encountered a grumpy teller in quite a long time here, so that is also a plus as well! After hours you can feel a *little* safer if you use the ATMs inside, but it's still not the safest place around. The only plus in this regard is that the Carson Sheriff station is two blocks away, and there are patrol cars buzzing up and down Avalon constantly. To echo Tony, this place is ghettofab now. I went there today and it was zoo. Granted it's the day before the 4th of July and every bank is going to be busy, but dayum! There was a line 10 people deep. Not to see tellers, but to get into that double security door booth! There were so many people inside that they locked the double security doors to control inside capacity! People were knocking on the security doors trying to get inside. Somehow, this WaMu is worse than the one in El Sereno. In fact, this is the worst WaMu I've ever been to after banking with them for a decade across THREE STATES. Location: outskirts of a mall. Parking: due to above, horrendous. Ease of Access: 1-in/1-out double security doors. probably been robbed? makes me feel like a cow heading for slaughter. ATMs: 2, often broken (today, neither would accept deposits) Lines: INSANELY long for tellers. fuggedaboutit if before/after payday(s). ATM line sometimes out the door. Ghetto-ness: fabulous! lots of grillz, lots of hoopties, lots of Apple Bottom / Juicy / Baby Phat wear. Tellers who take no shit. Tellers who don't give a shit. I recently had to start going to the bank to make a deposit every month. I happened to go here around lunch time and the line was a 25 minute wait. I thought to myself, "Don't come here at lunch time. You should know better than that." So, the next few times I came here I tried at different times of the day and was still welcomed by a long wait. There are only 3-4 tellers working at a time. The line can be all the way down to Ikea but still only 3-4 tellers. There are people walking around the back, people sitting in cubicles by themselves but nobody gets to a window to make a deposit. Chase recently introduced "deposit friendly" ATMs. This was probably so they wouldn't have to hire more people, but the ATM holds most of my money till the next day. My choice is either to wait in a painfully slow line while I watch most of the employees sit around or only get a fraction of my money. I also have to make deposits for work a few times a week at the Wells Fargo off of Torrance Ave and the service compared to Chase is night and day. Just about every window has a teller and I get in an out in no time. I'd switch banks if I wasn't so lazy. read more

I really used to detest going to this location. It was set up so badly inside that it was just plain conducive to driving customers nuts. They have recently remodeled, and the place seems to have opened up, not only cosmetically, but the emotions are different inside the bank as well. Maybe it's a feng-shui thing. Whatever the deal, I was pleasantly surprised at the complete change in atmosphere when I walked in. I was in and out MUCH faster too. So that was another positive change. Horrible parking in the middle of the mall lot... same side as multiple eating establishments AND Chuck E Cheese's. Grrrr! No bueno!! Need to go inside? Don't do it. The security guard at this bank is super rude. This is the second time I walked in and she was very off putting. The first time I just wanted to use the ATM. She yelled at me and told me I had to stand outside in the line. She never asked what did I need help with. When I told her I wanted to use the ATM inside she said Oh. Never apologized. I see why the ATM line outside was long. Avoiding rude guards yelling at you. Today I walked in and she started yelling at me again about my mask. I had a mask on but she said I needed to change the type of mask and that her NEW boss would make me put on a different mask. I explained I never had an issued with my mask before. It completely covered my face and no air could get in or out. She went to the bank manager to tell on me. The bank manager didn't care. He waived her off. You cannot greet people at a bank in this manner. Why? It's like you hate people. Get a job where you do not have to interact with people. read more

I don't have an account here, but know someone who does. Last week, they're account had been frauded and a good sum of money was taken. Chase didn't hesitate to help out and look into the problem. Not too long on the phone with customer service, Chase filed a fraud alert and credited the account back. Personally, I bank with someone else and my bank, as well as Chase, are no fuss and help their customers out immediately. Thank you for making your customers feel at ease! It's not that easy for everyone to keep track of their banking finances. So it's a comfort to know you go that extra mile to help out! Just wish parking wasn't such a bummer!! read more

Just came from a personal appointment from this location today. I had come in earlier this week to get information about money in my account and spoke to Nicole (extremely professional and pretty). She gave me just the right information and I decided to come back today. I spoke with her again and she swiftly got me in the services of Eddie (Hiberto). Eddie was extremely friendly, professional, and tactful. He explained to me everything about my account, my cards, and how to use them. He was very patient with my newness (lack of experience) with Chase. Conclusion: I was able to get it and out quickly with the help of Nicole and Eddie. They are both excellent at what they do! A receptionist was right at the door, the coffee area was on the left hand side & those kiosk machines were straight forward. Definitely a convenience to have those there for when there's a line going with the actual teller person. I am currently waiting to speak with someone about opening an account. I chose this bank because it's closest to my home. I've been waiting over an hour to speak with someone. One of personal bankers came to me and said he hasn't taken a break so he needs go to lunch and someone would help us. The girl that he said would help us, came up to me when she was finished with the client she was helping and said she had an appointment and I would have to wait until she finishes that appointment. I could understand that, but when we filled out the paper when we first came to the bank, she did not put down that she had an appointment. I requested to speak with the Branch Manager and she said she isn't available, so I am still here waiting. There are only 2 people here to help customers, not sure why the Branch Manager doesn't staff additional people. If you don't have a problem with very long wait times (I've been waiting an hour and 12 mins to be exact) and sub-par customer service then this is the bank for you. read more

Usually this bank has great hospitality but COVID-19 changes everything. There are no signs or notices that masks are required to enter the lobby. They just stare you down then abruptly tell you you can't come in while you're walking. It's pretty embarrassing yelling across a bank lobby asking for help with an ATM just to be spoken back to from a distance to leave. I get current events but the timbre of communication with customers needs more consideration. read more
