agreed to combine 2 annuities and change interest rate. This was in January. It's been 4 months. Nothing.

OMG. I just found out today that this new building on the same property as the old bank - will have NO drive thru??????? Seriously? The "old" bank is closed. The new one will not be completed for at least 6 mos according to one of the tellers. Parking lot is a disaster - good luck maneuvering in there!!! I suspect these people are going to lose a few customers over this total loss of convenience. Ugh. PS The closest one with a drive thru?? Army Trail and Bloomingdale Rd. Not the direction I usually go and just so angry at this miserable development!!! Time for a new bank.. loyalty means zero to them. read more

I must say that I'm pleasantly surprised by the physical and online experience with Chase bank here in Bloomingdale. They exceeded my expectations from a business point of view. They gave me instruments other banks couldn't. Definitely would recommend. read more

There employees are lazy, they dont listen, they hardly actually follow threw when something costs them a good amount of money because its there mess up they will close your account and try too reverse it too recharge you freezing your accounts. Its impossible too get anyone who actually you can understand. They play dumb. I went threw 8 debit charges because they kept messing up my account. Worse bank ever. If you are not going to rebuild the lake st Bloomingdale branch then you need to add more ATMs in the lobby or drive thru that dispense other than $20 bills. I just waited 10 minutes for the person in front of me to try every card in her wallet to get cash. Very annoying as I waited to get 2 $100 bills. I was in and out within a minute. And on top of it she was lined back up inside waiting for me to finish so she could try more cards. Didn't even have the courtesy to wait outside like I did! read more

Apparently, the Chase location at Schick & Gary in Bloomingdale will be replaced with a smaller structure, now being built in what was the parking lot. The current building will either be sold, leased or demolished. As a result, at this writing, there's basically no parking for customers. There was a huge queue at the drive-up windows. The parking lot is almost entirely blocked off for construction, with only a few spaces remaining near the current bank building. No signage along the service road for customers who have no idea what's going on. No warning to the community. They have someone standing in the inner lobby to greet customers. If Chase is so concerned about customer relations, how about letting the community know about this huge construction hassle at this location. (I only learned about it by reading the minutes from a Bloomingdale Village Trustee meeting in April 2024.) read more

5 stars for location, service, variety of services offered and Chase has the most atm locations across the U.S. Which makes a big difference when you travel a lot. I have been banking with chase since I was in college (yep that's many many years ago!). I believe Chase was one of the first banks that offered online check deposit which has always amazed me. Anywho they added ATMs where you can select your denomination. Awesome sauce!!! This location has super friendly staff, ample so that you're not waiting long, enhanced capability of the banker in front, and overall just a very competent organization. Yea, I'm a Chase groupie! Get that money! read more

Chase Bank - Big ball o dough - Banks & Credit Unions Near Me - Bloomingdale, Illinois

I have used BA Chase credit card for years and travelled all over Europe I have used it intensely for cash advances never a problem with it using except normal that some card readers are dysfunctional, so I carry another card as backup. On this trip for the first time I have not been able to get cash advances in the UK and Germany. The other problem is my phone quit working so I was not able to call them. I tried at probably 10 different banks in Germany and several in London none worked and has given been a great deal of anxiety. So user beware and I will look for other services. read more

The worst bank on earth. How many times does chase bank have to verify someone's identity? To send a wire, they send me a text code to input to verify. Then when you hit submit, they verify me again by sending another text. Then the wire department calls and to verify my identity they send a push notification to my phone and I verify it. then they go on my credit report and they ask 3 questions that go all the way back to at least 30 years ago. They ask where you have lived, what cars you drove, what loans you have had and with which bank. All questions we should know. When I answer their multiple choice questions regarding me, they say, Oh I am sorry, you failed to verify your identity. Sorry. read more

I am so disappointed. I need one piece of paper for direct deposit and I wait in line for over 30 minutes to be told that I need to go sign in on a sheet of paper with 15 names ahead of mine. How do you run a bank this large with one cashier and one baker and no one directing people where to go. There is zero customer service. I've been banking here for over 20 years but I think times are changing. read more

It saddens me to see how Chase has changed for the worst over the years. Particularly the Bloomingdale location on Schick rd. This location continues to disappoint in regards to its level of customer service. Several months back I needed to make a wire transfer for my business. Upon walking in I was told that the three private bankers had appointments scheduled at noon (The time was 11:40 am) and I would need to wait until their appointments were over or make an appointment to come back. This was the branch manager who had no appointments but I was told he could not help me as it was the responsibility of a private banker. I decided to wait as I had some extra time this day. Noon came and went and all three bankers had no shows for their appointments but I was still not allowed to meet with one because they give a twenty-minute grace time. I decided to leave at this point and went to another branch where the branch manager let me know his bankers were with someone (which they were) however he went ahead and took care of me and had me out in fifteen minutes. Given this experience, I am unsure why the Bloomingdale location handled it so poorly. Since the other location made the situation better I was not going to write a review or make arrangements to move my accounts. However, after my phone conversation with Erdi a private banker at the Bloomingdale location, I have come to terms that it is now time for Chase and me to part ways. As I was trying to ask a question to get further clarification she continued to cut me off and talk over me. After explaining I was trying to be respectful and allow her to speak I would appreciate the same in return and be allowed to fully answer my question so that I may understand it. I was meet with rudeness and defensiveness by her explaining she had already answered my question and that is why she was speaking over me. I politely told her it was disrespectful and the reason I had needed to ask the same question was that she had not allowed me to fully state what I needed and therefore my questions were not answered. From my personal experiences with Chase, they tend to see the customer as $$$ dollar signs and not as people. I am disappointed that an institution of their magnitude can not see past the numbers and treat people well. I know they have it in them because the two personal bankers who call me weekly trying to convince me to open new accounts are so gracious and nice. However, when I need help it seems they are not there for me when I need them. Thanks, Chase for disappointing yet another valued customer. read more

Corporate please shut this place down. Awful service manager and staff all just standing there like lemmings. If you want to have a terrible day start your morning by stopping by here. Canceling my accounts done with this bank. Btw they shut down their google reviews because of 37 one star ratings and only 1 five star. Hmm I wonder why the reviews are shut down??? read more

I have been coming to this location for many years now. It has changed names from NBD, First Chicago, JP Morgan and now chase. They have reduced the amount of drive up lanes by 50% to 2 and the walk up lines down to 2 as well. All in the name of customer service, Really. The employee turnover is weekly. They want higher net worth customers for their Private Client business but all they do is reduce the customer support and services they offer. Just yesterday noticed that they no longer take DuPage county P-taxes. Really, Great Customer service. The location is very convenient for me which is why I have endured the erosion of services and employee turn over. Time to start looking for a better bank. Shame on you Chase and Jamie Dimon. read more

This is the worst bank I've ever been too. Terrible customer service, rude employees and overall a terrible experience. This has happened on more than one occasion. Don't recommend read more

The associates are friendly, helpful, and a few of them even acknowledge me by name when I walk in. However, not every person who works at this Chase is like that and I've had a couple of poor experiences, so be warned. read more

Have been banking here for sometime now and there isn't a day that there isn't an issue. I have personal and business accounts and this last time was an eye opening experience that it's time to change bank. At drive through depositing cash and the teller gets his phone out and takes a selfie with the cash. Yup time to go else where. read more

The banker who opened up my account was busy training and did not give me full details. She told me i can't be negative more than $5 fine But if i was then as long as i deposit within 24 hours I'll be fine. That was a lie. I've been hit with 3 fees a week for the last two months and I'm done. I get direct deposit every week. So I'm paying no matter what They should see that and not keep charging fee after fee. Bankers are liars and mine should of concentrated more on me than training. Find another bank and research first. But this branch is full of liars read more

Have been waiting over a half hour to speak to a person about my account nothing major and another guy before me has been waiting over an hour and a half. This is uncalled for. I have been coming to this location for years and neve4 had any issues always in and out. Ever since they updated there place it's been nothing but trouble here. read more

I had the pleasure of speaking with Monica, the branch manager, about a transaction I had a question about. She was so helpful and kind and answered my questions immediately. My husband and I are in the process of buying a new home and even though we aren't using chase for our mortgage loan, Monica was still so kind in answering my questions. I also spoke with Joshua who answered the phone first, and he was also very pleasant. If the loan falls through with this other place, I would use Chase simply because of the great customer service. Thanks Monica and Joshua! read more

The only account I have is in chase. I'll be looking to change now. There is always a big line with only 1 teller

This branch recently installed HUGE ATM machines in the lobby and they are trying to FORCE all customers to use them. They have perky young employees practically begging us to use the machines. MOST of the customers preferred seeing a live teller and chose to stand in line. Obviously to punish those of us who chose to wait for a REAL PERSON they only had ONE employee behind the counter. I waited for 20 minutes in line! There were 8 customers behind me complaining about the lack of service. By the time I reached the counter my heart was pounding and I had tears in my eyes because I was so upset. I will NEVER go to this branch again--and if the other branches follow suit, my husband and I will take our four accounts to another bank! read more

I was that annoying person to call and ask why a check that I deposited on Saturday had not been cleared in my account by Monday night. The man who answered ( I forgot his name, I'm sorry) super sweet and extremely nice told me they don't include Saturdays, Sunday and Mondays with check clearances and it should be in my account the next day. Great customer service. His attitude was great and not the normal grouchy telephone person. Little things like this make such a huge difference! Great job, I wish I knew your name! read more

If you need to see a personal banker, be prepared to wait almost an hour. I needed to check on the status of a replacement credit card and to change the default language on mailed statements for the same card from Spanish to English. There were 2 bankers available on a Tuesday night at about 6pm and only one person ahead of me. I arrived at about 6:15PM and did not exit the door until 7:10PM. My simple request took all of 5 minutes to complete, however this branch is so severely understaffed that the wait time to see a banker for me was 55 minutes. The banker was not as knowledgable as the other branch I usually go to. She gave me inaccurate information and said that replacement credit cards could not be mailed to my PO box, which was a major security concern for me. Upon calling another Chase service, she discovered that my replacement card HAD been mailed to my PO box, exactly what I wanted. Although the banker was nice and friendly, I would stay away from this branch for personal banking needs. I just don't have that kind of time to waste sitting and waiting for a banker when time is so valuable. However on a positive note, I could see that they will spend as much time as needed with people (over an hour for 2 different customers with the only 2 bankers). read more

Ok, I have to honest the only reason I went to this branch is because my normal location closed at 2pm and this one was open till three. So I was reluctant to go here after seeing the reviews. But my today was just my lucky day or people are being to critical of others. Building was clean and order free, 3 people working the counter and the 2 additional working the drive thru. I like the human connection so I went inside. The staff there were friendly and no long lines to be found. I was greeted with a hello and how can we assist you. I simply had to make an auto payment and they directed me to the counter people. Done in under 2 minutes. Friendly faces, smiles and thank you's. Maybe I don't expect a lot out of people, or become someone hidden behind a keyboard. Reviews are to be based on facts. Thank you for being open so I could make my payment, when my normal branch failed time line, you came through. I appreciate it. read more

While I'm not usually a fan of banks in general, Chase is just "OK". Would I ever get anything other than a checking account - HELL NO! The only reason I use them is because my employer provides the Chase at Work account which doesn't require minimum balances or fees. Their debit/credit cards are recognized everywhere and they have lots of ATMs all over the place which is quite nice. Most of their branches are very nice and updated. Just found out today that they got rid of their DuPage property tax payment option, which was very convenient. Oh well, I still never go inside the actual branch unless I want to talk to one of their scripted robot tellers. Their personal bankers are nicer and have more personality to answer/resolve issues. Overall it's just "OK" like I said, would recommend them for any other reason - probably not. I do however recommend credit unions and other institutions as they serve their customers not like Chase who really "serves" their board of directors and Mr. Jamie Dimon. read more
