Let me start off by telling you that this location was annoyingly difficult to find!
I'm not sure if it was the rush I was in, the traffic, all the stuff on my mind, or just the crazy maps. Yelp maps told me one way, Google maps told me another, and it wasn't until I pulled up the map on the Chase website that I finally figured out what intersection this Chase was at and found the inconspicuous building behind another office building.
THEN, once I found the building, I pulled into a nearly empty customer parking lot a little after 5pm and thought to myself, "Great, they're closed." I still walked up to the front door (where other people were waiting), checked the lobby hours, and saw they were open for another hour. Great! Tried to open the door. Wouldn't open. Apparently you need to swipe your card to enter. Strange. Swipe. Enter. Walk in. Try the double doors. Locked. What?
OH. It's not the kind of bank where you can walk up the to the counter and complete transactions. It's an ATM-only kind of bank -- with a lobby for the ATMs. To do all the regular banking stuff, you have to drive up to the windows.
With a sigh, I headed back to my car, pulled up to one of the drive-thrus, pressed the call button, got a large tube, put my check in the cube, hit a button, watched the cube go "WHOOOOOOSH!", let the banker handle stuff, and the tube returned with my money in it. Not a bad drive-thru experience. But, GAH. How annoying is it to expect a full bank (as stated on the Chase website) only to find a drive-thru and an ATM lobby? I don't expect that you can go to this location to do loans and stuff, because you can't sit down at a table and talk face-to-face with a banker.
At least now I know. And I'm $75 richer. read more
