When we went to this branch in person to clear up the problem, the manager was completely unsympathetic and tried to shift blame onto our tenant in his absence. They refused to talk to the tenant on the phone to get the matter cleared up. There was no acknowledgement that the bank made a mistake, no regret for denying a legitimate transaction. Impressed at first there was a security guard at the front (who took longer to react, but then eventually opened the door for me. Lol) As soon as you walk in, the walls are adorned with paintings of the first settlers. (Native Americans, I think?) I look straight ahead and notice the vault is wide open in the center of the room, which explains the security guard (which no other local Chase bank has). Plenty of friendly tellers on the left and they were quick to greet and assist me. Ample parking in front (during lunch on a Memorial weekend). About two months ago, I came into the branch to take care of some banking, and during my conversation with Vlad, I mentioned that I was looking into setting up a family trust. Vlad told me about the will and trust program available through a third-party provider that Provident works with, including a discount available to Provident members. Until that conversation, I had no idea this program was available. We decided to move forward with the program, and I believe the total cost was under $900. The entire process could be handled online, we had access to support when we needed it, and speaking directly with an attorney was very easy and helpful. Having continued access to attorneys for questions and support for up to a year also gave us a great deal of confidence throughout the process. What really made the experience stand out, however, was Vlad. He was extremely flexible with his time and helped us with all of the notarizations, which were covered through the program. Between the different appointments and all of my questions, Vlad has probably spent a couple hours helping our family. He was always patient, never made us feel rushed, and made time for us whenever we needed assistance. I especially appreciate that Vlad took the time to mention this program in the first place. Setting up a family trust was something I knew we needed to do, but I really did not know where to begin. His recommendation made the process much easier and more affordable than I expected, and I learned a great deal along the way. The support provided through the will and trust program was also excellent. Whenever I had questions, getting answers was easy, and my conversations with the attorney were straightforward and very helpful. I wanted Provident Credit Union to know what an outstanding job Vlad has done. His patience, professionalism, flexibility, and willingness to help have been greatly appreciated by my entire family.
