This branch no longer will answer their phones and they do not even have a option to leave a message. They say that they had lay-offs. I tried to call to inform them that I was closing my accounts because I no longer trust Chase with my funds. I wanted them to have a check ready when I arrived. I wanted to close my accounts, because they escheated a brokerage account without warrant.
When I arrived at the branch at 10:15 am, they opened at 10:00 am, they told me I had to make an appointment and come back. There were absolutely no other customers in the bank at the time. The teller told me I could get an appointment an hour and a half later. The teller was free as well as the branch Manager, Jason Paulson, and another banker sitting at a desk. When I complained and said that this is one of the reasons I was closing my accounts (lack of customer service), the manager then came over and finally directed the other banker to close our accounts at that time.
We promptly took our cashier's checks and deposited them to our new bank, First Tech, which I might add has excellent customer service. Then we checked our accounts at Chase. The banker transferred my husbands savings, on-line savings, into his checking account BUT wrote the cashiers check off our Joint checking. Now our joint checking is showing a negative balance and my husbands savings accounts still have the cash.
They can not even close out accounts correctly. I would not recommend this bank to anyone. Just walk into the branch someday and see how many empty desks they have, and try to get help. I am sure you will change your mind about banking at this branch. read more
