This is my preferred Chase location in Bakersfield. I have made about 100 visits for business banking in the past 10 months. The staff and security are friendly and efficient. I miss the drive-up (no contact) service, but am happy to be greeted by so many happy faces when I go inside. read more

I usually come to this location if I'm coming right after work. I seem to get a little 'tude from some of the tellers every now and then at this one though. This location was also the first to ever tell me I couldn't have a money order from the drive-thru window, WTF is the difference if I go in anyway, banking is banking. The first time I tried they told me that they would only do it for me this one time, but I kept coming back and asking anyway, lol I haven't had any problems with that recently but one of my visits they said they don't give quarter roles in the 2nd lane, so keep that in mind. For the most part you gotta look at it like you won't be there long so, just do your business and go read more

Thank you very much Mr Alex H bank officer. He helped me straighten out a 2 day drama which included 5 phone calls to Chase due to the poor connection on the phone and too numerous to count phone calls to one of my very favorite retailers Eileen Fisher. Mr Alex H was very professional ,calm and super patient. It's all fixed. Hooray for him and this bank branch. Thanks again. Jo Ann read more

"Many business are doing their best during Covid" says Yelp but this particular business is NOT. RACHEL PADILLA in particular made my experience with this branch and chase so difficult and grueling that I will no longer be a banking with Chase as I have loyally for YEARS! She was so rediculously rude and unhelpful that the manager had to step in and help me as she glared at me over the top of her computer and typed away. She asked questions a bank teller has never asked me before and nor do they have the right in my opinion. After my business was concluded and I had left, my account wasn't working properly and now I am looking at fraudulent activity on my account. Upset, angry, stressed, and flabbergasted are the words to describe their ethics, principles, and practices at Chase bank; or at least this one. read more

Worst service I've ever received from any bank. I do banking for my company and we consistently make thousands of dollars in deposits a week, and we have been a long time business account customer for many years with Chase. Despite this loyalty, when I go in to make a deposit at this location, it's a nightmare. It's the worst part of my day. The regular customer line flies through, and the business account teller sees regular customers out of that line INSTEAD of people in line in the business account line. So, when I'm the only business customer there, I have to wait twice as long as everyone else. What's the point of having a business account line at all if you just see regular customers at the business teller and you make actual business clients wait a super long time? I'm not asking to be treated like Donald Trump in a gold robe, all I'm saying is if you have a business line, use it like an actual business line like all other GOOD banks where only business clients are seen so we can get in and out quickly. I thought that was supposed to be a perk of having a business account and a long time business relationship with a bank. I'll avoid this location if possible. read more

I used to be a customer of yours at one point i was happy there for a few years, then one day i felt as though i was not being considered a true customer anymore, I recently loss my car it was used and had emission problems of course it left me in debt. I had asked the bank about financing a used certified car, and was turned down by the loan officer. I just needed a car to get around bakersfield, and it seems that i am being punished and discriminated against because of what i did and because of my income, If a person can afford a low monthly payment and is not asking for a high finance loan, i don't really understand what the problem is , just sit down with the customer explain the costs of the car, finance charges and so on. and take it out of the account that that customer has with you. it's not like your going too lose anything, that is why i left chase bank. read more

I went online with the intention of earning $200 through their promotion. I followed all the steps set up the account then set up direct deposit. I received my direct deposit and proceeded to wait. Over 2 weeks passed and still no $200. So i called only to get no help and be told i needed to go to the branch near by so i did. Once i got there i spoke to a banker and was told the promotion wasnt added to my account. This being their mistake i should have been reimbursed but was told there was nothing they could do. So i recently closed the account and will not be opening another one and i suggest nobody else go thru this nonsense. read more

I normally do business at Panama but wow that local sucks ass now sorry Valley Strong that place needs some customer service updates ;) This location is like a breath of fresh air for me as soon as I walked in! Wow! Smiles, eagerness, genuine personalities!! LOVE IT!! Miss Yessenia was my advisor and she like everyone else i encountered here rocks! Made everything smooth did all the right checks on the trust, checking and money market accounts I was interested in. As most of you know an unfortunate chain of events caused by my family members put my dad almost into foreclosure, drained his bank account and maxed his credit card while he was incapacitated in the hospital in critical condition. They still think they did nothing wrong and can't seem to admit anything even being caught red handed by myself and the police. Not even the police confiscating dad's bank cards from them made them admit anything! But I guess that's normal with people that don't think they should work for a living they have to sponge off of a 75 year old man truly sad... Well fast forward to now I've been nothing but impressed with the service here, fantastic actually!! The money market helps my dad's money from the sale of his house make money a VERY decent amount to help continue to pay for his ongoing dementia care which btw is incredibly expensive! Medicare doesn't cover this! They don't help with his rent in the facility they only cover meds, diapers, nurses visits and bathing by a health aide weekly. So the money market account is essential in helping me pay for his care. Miss Yessenia made this the most stress free seamless process. This is the only location i do business at now. A couple weeks later I received a letter from the IRS regarding all the late fees I owed for them not being submitted when I filed them. I went back into the location and the girl let me know where was no manager on duty she took down my information and said she would have him get back to me. I have now been given the run around for a phone call back from a supervisor for two months now, some of the employees who I had spoken to letting me know the regional manager already stated I would be getting a return for the services that were provided(or lack there of). Today I spoke with Veronica after being on hold for about 20 minutes because I was not going to trust another we will have them call you back situation, she looked into my file stated her notes say they were submitted originally and rejected because they had to retrieve more information from me regarding taxes, then that they were submitted on the date I called the first time. I let her know there is absolutely no way of that being the case because I had to call to get any sort of update and have them actually submitted which the girl told me they were never submitted in the first place I received no notification from the IRS or fiesta that I needed to provide additional information and I also had been trying to contact the guy who did my taxes to see if he could check on the status for me because the IRS website was telling me I never filed. Veronica then notified me the only thing she would be able to do for me is do my taxes for free this tax season which I politely declined, I am not able to receive any sort of refund for the services provided nor the late and penalty fees I'm having to deal with now. Ridiculously unprofessional and will never be recommending or going there again. Guy who did my taxes was named Diego! Currently this situation is being handled they called on Friday stating they would refund me for service provided, interest, and late penalty fees from the IRS. 3/31/25 Update they did end up issuing a refund for services provided and late/ penalty fees + interest.
