Don't ever use the ATM at the Chase Bank on North Chester in Bakersfield it is the second time that it has eaten my ATM card and this time it's after hours now I have to cancel my card and just leave it in there I can't even find a security officer to let them know what has happened there's no number on the machine there's nothing and they have a ancient outdated not working ATM you're a bank spend a little money and upgrade your machines. You know given that these are bankers they ought to know that time is money who's going to pay me for the time that I'm wasting just trying to get my card out of their machine twice. read more

After the Olive Drive location cancelled an appointment I had made weeks in advance with only a 2 hour notice, I called this location, explained what happened, and they worked me in the same day. The banker at this branch was helpful and the transaction only took 4 minutes. I'm not sure why Chase is requiring appointments for even small changes to an account, but that is a corporate complaint, not one for this branch. read more

Nasty scandalous workers, including the condescending branch manager. I came in around 5pm with my disabled blind mother. I asked a woman with several children seated across from me do I need to sign in? Lo and behold there was a clipboard near the entrance and before I could sign it, two male Chase bankers approached me in the seating area.... Both employees engaged in an orchestrated skit of racial intimidation and community harassment in order to deny me services. One employee exclaimed that there going on "lunch break" and the other male associate would not be able to help me because" opening an account would take over 40 minutes." How was they so sure of that? I find it suspicious that there was a scheduled lunch break an hour before closing time. I dont believe that the process would have taken 40 minutes to complete as I already had documents with me to open a savings acct and deposit a check. My mother asked to speak with a branch manager and intially tried to thwart that by claiming she was busy. In less then 45 seconds, Mrs. Frances Branch comes out in a rushed blatantly disgusted demeanor, as if I interrupted her time..... Frances, was very rude towards me when I asked why I could not be seen by a banker and it was only one other customer before me and the customer was almost done with her Appt. There was still time for me to open my savings account. Next, I tried to charge my phone to contact my ride to get home.... I walked to the outlet to get about 5 minutes of charge and this "manager" makes a beeline towards me and scolded me that, " you are not allowed to charge anything in our system here you have to remove your cord NOW!!!" Mind you it was a plain wall outlet.... I am appalled and sickedned at the discriminatory tactics to deny services conducted by David; his unnamed associate and the Branch Manager. This was a rehearsed campaign of organized harassment to discourage people of a certain race from seeking banking services from JP Morgan Chase. I will see what the Consumer Finance Protections Bureau and The Federal Deposit Insurance Commission (FDIC) has to say about their atrocious customer services practices, or lack thereof. It was FAKE NEWS that they could not open up my account before 6pm today! read more

Worst service ever at any Chase Bank. Was sent here by another Chase bank branch with appointment to get a medallion signature. Had ID and all account info. After waiting a while this was denied. Why was I sent here for Nothing. A complete waste of my time. Shut down this branch. Bad service NO help. Went to parking lot used phone called Chase got help immediately. I have banked with many banks over the years but I cannot say enough about this bank. I bank at the North Chester office in Bakersfield. I have been banking there over four years now and I absolutely love it! I am a military veteran and therefore get my checking account for free, a service very appreciated. They are always polite and when my card was stolen and I needed a new card quickly they overnighted a new card to me, free of charge. They have recently made an addition that is absolutely fantastic and I have not seen anywhere else and that is the addition of a large ATM inside the bank right beside the line where you wait for service. It is bigger than the one they have outside and an absolute joy to use. It is fast and I find no $300 limit as is sometimes practiced with banks at their outside ATM. Maybe this isn't nice to say but what I really like about it is the fact that most people don't know anything about it ha ha ha ha. I walk inside the bank and there is a line of people waiting to see the teller. I just go over to the big machine and get my business done and am out of there before the next two people are waited on. It sure is nice addition. Everybody from the manager down to the tellers is/are always very, very friendly and a joy to deal with. read more

At around noon I walked into this chase wanting a money order. I stood in line and was greeted by a banker who was asking customers if they were going to cash out trying persuade them into using the ATM inside the building. As I waited in line, the same banker that was greeting people stood behind a register and asked if anyone planned on getting cash out with their card. When the question came around to me I said, "yes, but I'm needing a money order that includes a large amount". He then said to walk forward that he could assist me in that. When I got to the front, (mind you I surpassed two customers that were in front of me) the banker stated he needed my Bank card and ID because he couldn't unlock the register he was behind of, but had to walk to his register in the far corner. He asked how much my money order was going to be. After I told him he said he would be back. When he came back to talk to me he stated he couldn't give me a money order with an expired license. I said, "we are in a pandemic it's only logical that my license is still expired. And told him I had a 3 month extension on my license. I don't see why this chase is asking for my ID if I've never been asked before". He then said to wait for the 1 one bank teller that was actually opened. I tell you folks it was only 1 banker that was behind a register while there was a line leading all the way to the outside. I then asked if I had to wait in line again he said No. so I stood to the side and waited for him to give me the signal. I waited at least 45 mins and he never gave me the signal or bother talking to me as I stood waiting there staring at the registers. He kept on telling those in line to go on next. like It is absurd to have spent my whole hr lunch trying to get a money order. I finally ended up giving up and walked out. Truly unsatisfied! Worst chase! It was a WASTE OF MY TIME! I personally felt like I was being discriminated. Don't come here unless you wanna wait over an hr! If I could I would give this place 0 stars! read more

This bank is always having issues with their drive thru ATMs and their system being down, making it harder for me to get my cashiers checks. The only reason I give this bank 4 stars is because of one employee. David Ramirez- Digilio offered my boyfriend and I the absolute best customer service and was able to handle our needs in a timely fashion while making sure we understood every bit of information we needed to know. I went to the atm machine and tried to withdraw $660. The machine malfunctioned and never gave me my money and receipt. It debited my account and now I'm broke with $0 until the next month. When I went inside to talk with the bank teller she said there was nothing she could do and offered no assistance. I spoke to the manager over the phone asking if they can review the surveillance tape, and count the ledger as proof that my money was never received. She told me that it wasn't "within protocol" and she was not responsible for the ATM machine and could not access footage on my behalf. They didn't even put a notice on the machine to warn others that the atm was "out of order." The manger was cold, distant, and devoid of empathy. I called chase customer service and they told me to call the cops on themselves and file a police report. They refused to give me the number to contact the person in charge of security. It boggles my mind to think that banks are some of the most surveillance institutions out there and they couldn't take the time to just check. If anyone robs a bank they are apprehended and charged, but if a bank robs you... your just shit out of luck and treated like a nuisance. Now I'm living on $0 for a whole month because of an ATM malfunction that Chase won't look into. I don't know how I'm going to get around and put gas in my car to take me and my kids to school, pay bills, etc. Thank you Chase for the unhelpful service you have provided. read more

Customer service is great. Went to another branch and it seemed like he didn't want to help me or it was lunch time, anyways got what I needed to get done .done. Can't get any better than in and out . Also, she did try to talk to me and get to know me which is good . Some are in such a hurry that they don't even care to know your name.
