Its 2024 and the review is better mainly because of their great customer service which is far better than "Bank of America" or "Wells Fargo". But that being said, their ATM machines are still having issues. Especially on weekends many seem to keep breaking down. I needed to see a banker to add a signer to my business account. I knew a teller could not assist me so I asked the representative standing near the door if I could get help and she pointed to the sign next to her that stated I need to ask a teller to put me on the list to see a banker. Ok. I stand in line behind 5 people to see a teller who then tells her manager I need to see a banker and he then walks over to the banker section to add me to a list that had only one person in front of me! Why not have the greeter add names to the banker wait list and keep your customers from standing in the teller line taking up teller time and making the long longer for those who really need a teller? read more

This branch is useless! They closed up the drive thru lanes in the time of covid. Then you go inside and stand in line for 45 minutes minimum, along with about 15 or 20 other people. The worst bank I have ever been to. I've tried numerous times to get help and I always get turned away. I hate this place with a passion

So let's do this. I went in to close my account today. Shouldn't be a big deal, right? Think again. After waiting 40 minutes (this branch is always slow and the workers hang around like they have nothing to do even though customers are waiting), a "banker" helps me. I tell her I want to close my accounts and she asks, "Why?" I tell her I simply want to close them and she leaves it at that. That is the ONLY reason this location got a star - and because it's the lowest you can give. She asks for my SSN and I give it to her and she pulls up my account. She verifies my address and I hand her my license and my debit card from the awesome credit union UFCU, so she has those extra layers of verification. I've been around the block a few times, so I try to be helpful and prepared. And then I also verify the amounts in my account so she knows she is looking at the right thing. Again, I'm helpful af. She then tells me she will only be able to give me the money in my savings account in the form of a cashier's check. Not a big deal. I know how this works for certain dollar amounts. Totally fine. Then she gets a deposit slip which I fill out and she writes my name on the slip again (ooookay), and then she takes my ID and my UFCU debit card to the back and says she will be back. I hang around for a few minutes and then she comes back and says that my UFCU debit card is not valid because I didn't sign the back. I told her I don't sign the back of my cards, I put 'ASK FOR ID' on the back of them. So I write that on the back. It's my card, so I will choose to sign or not. She says she can't take it. She then asks if I have another form of ID so I tell her these are the SAME EXACT (I know 'exact' doesn't need to be in there but you get the drift) forms of ID I used to OPEN the account. I also provide her with the paperwork I received when I opened the accounts. Of course, don't forget I gave her my SSN earlier, verified my address, and told her the amounts in my account. But she still says she can't accept it. Then she asks if I have a work badge. I tell her it's in my car and I run outside to get it. I'm a little annoyed at the run-around but I'm trying to work with her. I bring my badge inside and she says they can't accept it because it doesn't have numbers on it. NUMBERS?!? Numbers for what? She says she will check with her manager so I'm like, whatever you gotta do. After waiting for 40 minutes I'm thinking that whatever bit of help I can give will speed this along. She takes me to one of the teller windows and a teller and a manager come over. The manager asks if I have any other forms of ID. I lay them all out and she says "I can't accept this debit card. It's not signed on the back." I tell her that not signing the back helps with FRAUD. Wake up, people! I then hand her my work badge and she says she can't accept it because it doesn't have an expiration date. A WHAT?!? This ain't a coupon! It's a work badge. And who Chase Bank the Badge Patrol? I ask her if her badge has an expiration date and she condescendingly says "We don't have badges." And then I ask her, "Well, how can you possibly tell others what their work badges should have on them?" So, they refuse to give me my 15K cashier's check and to close my account. I leave in a huff. It's true. Because at this point, they are harassing me. There is no reason why I should have been given any bullshit. I gave them everything and more to complete this transaction. I call their headquarters and let them know what happened. They call and another manager there says they have closed my account and are processing my cashier's check which they will put in the mail. WAIT! So...here I am in front of you, with a valid license, work badge, debit card, gave you my SSN, told you what was in my accounts, and verified my address, and you won't hand me my money. BUT.... you will put a check in the mail to me even though you weren't able to verify who I am. Da fuq? Wanted to deposit a good amount of rolled coins at a teller inside. I've done this several times before. Was told I had to take them to the Business Lane of the Drive Thru, because, "we don't have room for coins inside." That place is huge! First time visiting this Branch. Didn't seem too busy, but it was obviously understaffed. Needed to come In because I left my debit Card at a drive thru ATM. I called my regular branch that I attend off Anderson Ln and was told they would be able to give me a replacement in the branch at this location... Waited over 15 mins in line for someone to tell me I needed to speak with a banker. OH!! And there was only one teller. In my experience there is usually a greeter in most of their branches that will direct you to the right person. Waited another 40 minutes plus to speak with a banker. While I waited, I kept seeing reps walking around with coffee cups but no assistance was offered. They seemed unorganized. Overall, when I finally saw the agent she was nice. Don't get me wrong, I think Chase is a fine institution but I most likely will not ever come to this branch. read more

I only use the ATM so my review is for this. The line is usually short except during payday. Their neighboring parking lots are super busy all the time. The frontage road to access is busy as well. This bank is very racist! A friend of mine was approved for the SBA grant NOT the loan and when he went in to receive his funds they told him that he needed a business account not a personal account! He is a independent contractor so in all honesty HE DOES NOT NEED A BUSINESS ACCOUNT. They asked him if he wanted to open a business account where they would hold $1500 of his funds and when he opted out they wanted him to provide documents. You can submit your business under your social on your taxes so he didn't have an EIN BUT for this purpose he did receive one and a DBA. During this pandemic all he went through they decided to send his funds back and now he is UNABLE to pay his workers DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT USE CHASE BANK!! None of the branches! It is NOT for them to determine who can approve you for loans this was NOT CHASE money and if another company has approved you and DIRECTLY deposited the money into your account they SHOULD not be able to dictate who can approve you! Obviously SBA didn't mind if it was a PERSONAL account or business account because they did not ask for a business account just if he had a bank! They also closed his account for 20 days and made him negative $1200. DO NOT USE THIS BANK ESPECIALLY IF YOUR BLACK! Thank you now I'm going to report to KXAN AND FOX7 On your side because this is unfair to anyone not just black people but I felt like he was targeted when he went to the bank anyways. UPDATE: we called SBA and they told us that chase SHOULD NOT be doing that and they are NOT REQUIRED to send money to a business account and that we can give them another account and they will reissue out his funds. This the 3rd time I've taken off work to get my daughter added on my account so she can cash her checks they tell me today they can't help me because I have to make an appointment why didn't you tell me that the last two times. Basically if ur white u get treated like shit Just to prove it I sent my cousin who is Hispanic to do the same thing and they were going to help her. Yes I did look scruffy today but that is no reason to hardball me. I was doing yard work, it's very windy out, and it's austin! I asked the branch VP to wave the $5 check cashing fee on a small chase check (not mine). No go, no explanation either. Your competitor's are not doing this (not even B of A). Times are tough (especially for Chase) and customer service matters. You didn't get my $5 in the end and now I will close my Chase credit card. You loose twice. Though they have many teller windows, I had to wait ten minutes because there was only one teller and no one came up to help speed up services. Opening an account with them was the first mistake I made moving here. When I moved here almost 6 years ago, I had been with a CU back home for almost 10 years. I had worked at a traditional bank for a year prior to moving here so I was familiar with the In's and outs of banks and figured why not. Mainly, my employer banked here so I thought 'what's the harm?' After about 8 months I had been raped of hundreds of dollars in stupid fines. The bank I had worked at was very forgiving, if you had issues and spoke with an officer/banker, they would listen and help you out. I had decided to come to this branch, as it was closer to my place, and speak with one. I was told "you didn't open your account here, i can't do anything. You opened it in Great Hills and need to go there." Are you freaking KIDDING ME?! Final straw? I deposited my paycheck the Friday before NYE and the teller mentioned NOTHING out of the norm. That night I go to Sonic to get food on my lunch break and my debit card isn't working. I call the 800 number and they inform me that my account had been CLOSED! Not even 4 hours after depositing my WHOLE paycheck! I asked if the teller would've seen the notice/flag and she said "yes". WTF. I didn't have ANY money for the next 3-4 days! I marched my a** to THIS location AGAIN and was FURIOUS. I was told they were MAILING me a check with my account contents. How long will it take? A WEEK! I freak out and am appalled by their actions and lack of compassion etc. I somehow manage to get my money in cash and before I leave the place the lady helping tried to RECRUIT ME. I SH*T you not!
