Today is May 30th, I was at this bank waiting to get help with my CD account. My brother, daughter, and I was waiting at the couch . No one come over to ask or assist us, one person was helping with a customer. The other two were in the office , but the office was made from glass see through. When the banker finished with the customer. she walked the customer out, she did not even ask to see if I needed help . Then I ask her can I get help. She then stated, I'll help you in a little bit. So we wait, until one of the Asian bank teller came to out from the window, she came over to ask have I been help or what do I need help with. I tell her I am waiting to get help, and I pointed at the banker personal that said she'll help in a bit, she is finishing up some note. The Asian bank teller said am I waiting for her or can someone else can help. I am not waiting for a particular person, I just need help with maturity CD account. So therefore the guy helps me. The weather is hot, I have cancer so I can't really sit that long. Personally I think they didn't not want to serve me because I speak Vietnamese with my brother, so either because of my race or because they think I don't have money. I feel sorry for this branch, they are driving customers away. Honestly I will not come to this branch to get help with my account. The only thing I will ever come is just use ATM or withdraw money from teller. I would not recommend anyone to come to this branch, if you need help with your bank account GO to ANOTHER branch! read more

I was "helped" by a teller in training named Edgar and his supervisor (never noticed her name but I noticed her $1 store wig she had on). Anyways when they deposited my check they said my balance out loud and laugh. Didn't even try to hide it either, times are rough and I just paid rent. As I walk away after I finished my transaction, I can clearly hear them talk about me still as they mentioned my last name. They were loud enough for me to hear them from across the bank. I stopped in at this bank earlier this week to see if they accept a credit card payment for my AARP/Chase VISA. The bank teller said yes, but their system was temporarily down. He would not be able to post the transaction immediately. He could accept the payment and then the bank would send me the receipt via slow mail. That 's okay. I will return another day. I haven't dealt with Chase Bank for almost three years. I was one of their long time customers from way back in 1960 when they were called First Savings of California. Then, as the years rolled by, they had several name changes - Great Western Savings and Loan, Great Western Bank, Washington Mutual (WAMU) and finally Chase. I closed my savings, checking, VISA credit card, did a rollover on my IRA at that time and joined a credit union. Two years ago, I applied for an AARP/Chase VISA card. It had no annual fee and there was a promotional period of 0% interest for a year. As if I needed another credit card, I used it sparingly, not carrying a balance that is more than $50 and paying it off immediately so I won't get hit with a 17.24% APR. Yesterday afternoon I finally was able to take care of credit card payment with Chase. The interior ambiance is modern and quite nice. Double glass door entrance, an ATM and two teller windows to the right and straight ahead are two self-serving kiosks. Bank lobby is to the left of the kiosks. Customer service: tellers were courteous and helpful. Return visit will only occur if I charge something on my credit card and that will probably be several months from now. Yesterday morning September 15th around 11AM I waited in line to see a teller so I could have a cashiers check made. The one teller who was available was an older woman with a short dark haircut and glasses. She was standoffish from the start, even after I greeted her warmly. I told her I was about to purchase my first car to break the weird vibe I was getting and she just looked at me briefly before saying nothing and returning her eyes to her screen. She then told me, almost with a smirk, that she could not do what I needed her to do and when I asked her questions about why & what to do, she did not know how or did not want to answer me. I felt like a nuisance from the second it was my turn in line-- That's not what you want after standing in a long line like that! Please visit with this employee about their customer service! The trainee on the floor was a banker, but she stepped away to help me AND ACTUALLY PROVIDED A SOLUTION (in ~2 minutes!!!) that the teller could've, but didn't (in ~15 minutes). The only reason this review has 2 stars instead of one is because the trainee was extremely helpful and kind-- the opposite of the teller I had worked with. Again, for the sake of your customers, visit with this employee about their attitude and customer interactions because I was seriously put off by this woman on a day where everything else was amazing. read more

Chase commits serial fraud and has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I spent 90 minutes in the phone with them and they told me I needed to come to a branch. I did that promptly, coming to this branch, on a weekday during business hours, and there was no banker working, only tellers, and I was told I needed a banker to do what they were supposed to be doing in the branch. I've been a Chase customer for about 10 years--I came along with your acquisition of Washington Mutual. Unfortunately, my experiences with your ATM service has made me decide to leave Chase. I've started banking with Bank of America instead. Chase has denied 5 of my ATM transactions over the past couple months: In Auburn, San Francisco, Alameda, and twice in Oakland. The explanation provided to me has been "fraud protection." I'm not convinced this is true, but if so, then clearly your algorithms aren't striking the right balance between security and convenience. Even so, I feel we could've worked this out. You could've made it right. Getting denied at the ATM is bad, but not necessarily enough to switch banks. Unfortunately, your support just isn't good enough to overcome your poor software. For example, first denial was outside an open branch (October 15, 2018). It was fairly easy to go inside and get my money instead. But could the teller tell me why the ATM denied me? No. And so instead of talking to the banker right in front of me, I later got a robocall from a number I didn't recognize. Second denial was at a drive-though ATM, because the walk-up ATM was broken (did I mention you have ATM issues?). You followed up with an SMS asking about an ATM transaction I did over a month before--as if I'm supposed to just remember exact dates and amounts? Besides, I think the question was about the transaction I was denied. So "Did you make a withdrawal on...?" is hard to answer. Is it yes because I attempted it? Or is it no because I didn't actually get my money? Third denial, I knew the drill. I immediately called the number on the back of my card. After a fair amount of rigmarole, I got a promise my card would work again in 5 minutes. 5 minutes later, it didn't work. Another call. Total time to make an ATM withdrawal? 25 minutes. At that point, I decided to stop to banking at Chase. Though in the transition, I actually got denied a fourth time (Oakland), and a fifth (Alameda). At this point, I suspect you know you have a problem with your ATM network, but just aren't admitting it to customers. No matter--I'm no longer a customer. read more

A beautiful bank - modern and light filled. Welcoming and in a newer neighborhood sharing the parking lot with In N Out. Modern machines inside that help with deposits without having to wait in line for a teller. Very friendly cheerful workers - a nice vibe - in sharp contrast to some bank branches these days that feel more like jail. This is in a new neighborhood with all sorts of construction going on in terms of housing and shops. Lots of parking and spots are reserved for Chase bank customers only. Be sure and bring your debit card for using the new super ATMs that free up the tellers for transactions that are necessary for human interaction. read more

It's all about them. 6 people in line waiting to do their banking at 3:45, clerk closing , counting their money/cash register, and get ready to go home, only one window is open. Managers/ supervisors walking around, only one window is open , line is huge. I stopped at Chase bank to deposit my check Friday morning the 11th of December upon arrival I saw a security guard in his vehicle leaving so I proceeded to get my check out to sign. I saw this security guard taking pictures of my license plate. I was so surprised I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I proceeded to deposit my check into the ATM at this time he was still in his car watching us.I got out of my car took a picture of him and a picture of his license plate and asked him why was he blocking entrance sitting in his car watching us and taking pictures of my license plate .When all I was doing is depositing my check before I go to work so by the time I leave work I can get my money. I have been to many Chase Bank I never been profiled because I am black never have I been followed stock and humiliated in front of my child for depositing a check .That I worked hard for I am not a criminal I've never committed any crime and to be treated worse then a Criminal.To be profiled and judge because of the color of your skin and judge for no reason only because you're black. When we left the bank we went to Target only to be followed by the same security guard so we call the company that he went forward Allied Universal and filed a complaint then he drove off we reach out to them again after I got off work. Dont go here if you want personal service. If I go inside a bank shouldn't it be clear where you should go for help? Nope. Whomever designed this branch was clearly intending to never help an actual customer in person. nope there are 2 super ATMs inside which replaced the tellers. But you're out of luck if you don't have a debit card because you need a live person.... hence the hunt for help. So when you finally find a person they don't do the actual transaction in front of you. They go into a back room where they disappear for long periods of time and the person who initially helped you isn't the person who brings your $$$. Just wtf chase? Why would I go inside to use an ATM when there are three outside?!? Hire more people to work and don't be shady with our money. read more
