I stop here alot to use the enclosed 24-hour ATM. You need a card to get in, then there's multiple ATMs. Much safer than those outside ATMs. I came here once to service my CD and they were really nice to help me. Lots of free parking in a small strip mall. Nextdoor to Roundtable Pizza. read more

Nice, friendly neighborhood location w/ plenty of parking!! If you need to use the ATM during hours the bank is not open, you do have to slide your card in a slot by the door in order to gain entry. Great for safety, but unfortunately there are people out there who don't know the rules and just try to keep pulling on the door handle thinking it will magically open, or they wait until you're about to exit and are standing right in front of the door. I wish there was someway where the view inside the bank could be blacked out, so people aren't looking in to see if there's somebody at the ATM or not. At least this would dissuade them from just waiting for you to get out after you finish your transaction. I know this isn't really Citibank's fault, but just wanted to give people's a heads up. I took off one star because this bank, as of this writing, doesn't open up until 10 AM. Really wished they opened up at the minimum, 8:30 AM or 9. I only go into the bank where I need a teller about 3 to 4 times per year, but still I would love to go in there early to do my transaction. The great thing about Citibank is they have a lot of agreements with various ATMs, so at least if you just need to only withdraw money, you can do that at many places. read more

Went to Citibank's website and tried to set up an appointment to see a specialist but keep getting an error message for 10 times. So I decided to just walk in the next day. First time visiting this branch. I have three accounts. Checking, savings and a CD. My wife and I went there to put her name onto all my three accounts. And close her checking account. There was a specialist name, Krystalynn, she must rather bossy, unhelpful and did not have all the knowledge as to how to add my wife's name. Plus, she said my CD account do not have enough maturity so she cannot add my wife's name which is not true. She also asked my wife if she has a Social Security number and if she was a US citizen. Like I said before she opened her checking account five years ago and at that time she already provided her Social Security number and proof of residency. I think she was just trying to find a way to make us leave without helping me. For saving Acct, she said she doesn't know how to do it so she asked me to wait for another specialist right next cubicle who was helping some other people. So I had to wait for him. His name was Leon. Leon was fast and efficient. He was able to add my wife's name into all three accounts and close her account in 10 minutes . Leon did not ask my wife anything about Social Security number. Leon also helped me how to set up an appointment. Instead of setting up an appointment on Citi Banks website it should definitely work if I sign into my account and set up an appointment. I tried that and it actually worked. If Krystalynn do not have all the knowledge, I don't know how she could be working there especially doing a simple task like adding a name. I have more than $100K with Citibank. I was going to put one star, but since Leon helped me all the things that I needed I decided to give four stars I think Krystalynn needs more training. read more

I rarely go inside the bank. I almost never have a reason too, almost everything I need can usually be handled online or via ATM. However I had to close my account, and I had been charged an overdraft fee because another company (PGE) had completed an autopay to my account after I had deleted my banking info. (this is another review). I went in ready to pay my overdraft fee and close out my account. When I got there, there were already other people waiting. A gentleman came over and informed me it would be around 45 minutes. He asked what I needed. I quickly outlined my issue and let him know I needed to close out my account. After telling me the tellers could close it, he said he would go ahead and waive the fee, even though I was closing out my account, rather than making me wait for 45 minutes and even interrupted (very briefly) an appointment he was working on. I had to close my account due to factors outside of Citibank. The service and support I received here today would have been enough to make me keep my account had it not been for the other issues. I haven't always been happy with banks, very rarely have I ever felt like one was interested in actually helping me. Today I felt like this one was. I wanted to write his review, I know these employees rarely if ever are thanked, but Mike Ragen, the manager at this location, deserves at the very least a thank you, and a good review. read more

Maybe I should review Citibank as a whole but since this is the only branch I have dealt with here goes. The Good: The tellers are very friendly & very service oriented. A+ for them. The Bad & Ugly: The "desk" employees do not seem interested in anything other than selling you something, upgrading you, etc. If it is a task beyond that, they are worthless. You can tell them in kindergarten terms what you want or need and they will still manage to screw up and you over every time. Corporate: I believe that trained monkeys could do a much better job. The right foot has no clue what the left foot is doing and they could care less. RUN, don't walk, away from this bank. read more

Had an issue with someone using my card, so I called customer service, and they told me to go to the branch so that they can verify me and issue a temporary card. I got the temporary card, but because the teller was taking too much time with me, the manager got mad at him, and one of the personal bankers took me to her desk and handed me my cards and a piece of paper and said call the number. I was shooed out of the bank in a hurry because apparently there were a lot of other customers waiting. I've never been treated with such disregard. The teller, Wailun (I think that's his name) was so nice, professional, compassionate and helpful. Sorry he got in trouble, especially because he was the only one really trying to help. read more

Terrible just terrible. It's like a saloon more than a bank. The personal advisers are loud and unprofessional. They messed up a significant transaction and application I had. The tellers are really slow. Their manager never tries to shorten the lines by speeding things up. The manager just directs people to the ATMs. The tellers come across as insincere and they like to lecture you at any opportunity presented. They also try to take shortcuts on transactions that make you feel uncomfortable and they insist over and over on doing it that way unless you keep telling them you want them to do it the traditional way. I used to go to another branch that was closed down recently. This branch irks me so much that I'm likely switching banks in the next month. read more

I've requested several times for the lighting to be brighter at this San Lorenzo location. It's very scary to stop and get money out and it's super dark outside the bank. Why don't they take notes from Wells Fargo across the street it's pretty lit up. You are clearly a bank and have money to do so, I have been complaining for 2 years now. Please fix it, tonight i'll just pay the extra atm charge and go to Wells Fargo yet again. i'd rather be safe than cheap. read more

I walked into this place to open an account with citi bank. As i walked in i was not greeted by the gentlemen walking around fixing the door and looking like he had a lot of work. He looked right at me as i walked in and did not acknowledge me at all. I waited for 5 minutes before he looks at me and asks me if i needed help. I told him i was interested in opening an account then he tells me "have you signed in?" I did not know i needed to sign in after waiting for 5-10 minutes. Few bankers were just sitting on their tables not doing anything. Not one person walked up to the table to check the list o see if people are waiting or to see who is next. After waiting for about 20 minutes i walked out. So disappointed. read more

This bank has been good to me so far. Hardly ever any wait and they have enough people working to actually run the bank smoothly. I am always in a hurry and they make sure I am in and out of there. I always receive WONDERFUL service from this branch. Their staff is friendly, professional and extremely helpful in stressful situations. I've been banking with Citibank for over 5 yrs and I've been to numerous branches and this one is by far my favorite. I have Accounts with other banks but none of them compare. Ana Valdiosera is a true sweetheart. I hear her speaking Spanish to folks that need it and then greeting me with the same kindness as her Spanish speaking friends. She is always prompt and very nice. I appreciate you having her there for us. Please consider giving her a raise to help her smile even brighter! Since the Citi Bank office in San Leandro closed which was down the street from where I work...it makes a big difference to have to travel to San Lorenzo just to go to my bank. I love citi bank. I never had a problem with the website or any bank I had been to weather it had to do with transfering, depositing and withdrawing money. The reperesentatives are truly helpful and very nice. I love the idea that you can use the atm inside the bank if you have a debit card to gain access inside the building.
