It's hard to really rate gas stations on I-5 because for the most part when you stop at one, it's for a purpose that's much needed that you would not be able to resolve unless for one of these pit stops. However, once you stop at enough of these, I suppose you can be a little picky. The bathrooms here are ok but if you filled up as and want to sponge off some of those bugs you acquired on your way down, don't look here. The sponges are tattered and more or less useless and the squeegy part is hard and not as flexible so you can barely wipe off the water that's on your windshield. We missed that as we already started pumping before noticing. There is a Quiznos next door if u want a meal. We grabbed some popchips (thai sweet chili and BBQ flavor) costing $3.79 a bag - wow! I really wanted to taste the thai sweet chili one so we paid it. It was pretty good ;) My son grabbed a nestle chocolate milk (expired) so make sure you check the dates. Whenever you have a gas station on the side of a major highway, you need to make sure that everything is acceptable. Negative 10 stars!! Service was awful!! With 2 employees up front, one should be able to check on the restroom. They looked like they haven't been cleaned in weeks. No toilet paper, no paper towels, pee everywhere on the floors. As soon as you enter the restroom is like a giant toilet. OK I'm a star whore, and you know this location star is close to the Mojave. Saw some cool looking trees, nice shrubs, long trains and some amazing wind farms. The Interstate 5 up to this point was pretty boring. Did they take every 4th truck on earth on put it on this highway? The thrill of being on a road trip wore off after the first 1/2 hour. 2 Stars Stopped to fill up on gas and ran in to use the bathroom. Urinals were dirty, toilet broken, no paper towels, "fast track" hand dryer took 10 seconds to start working and didn't dry anything! It's 114 out, so we came to 76 instead of the Chevron across the street since their bathrooms are outside and we were planning on buying snacks for the road. There was an "out of order" sign on the door, but we noticed people still going in, because they had caught on to the fact that only one of the stalls was out of order. We started walking towards the bathroom as well when we see one of the cashier's with a pissed off look in her face (pink hair, middle age) walking towards the front door and on the middle of the store loudly says "These people don't know how to read!" Referring to the "out of order" sign on the door. Once I was picking up my snacks this poor guy, clearly not from here asks here where the cup lids were, and she uses a super rude tone to say "they're right there!" And points at the cup lids. I get in line and she had to ring me up since the other young lady was busy assisting someone else, and she slicks her hair back as she says "ugh.." And proceeds to ring me up, and at this point I was just done with her. I'm not saying don't go to this gas station, I'm just saying to the manager/owner, be careful of who you hire, you can lose business when you hire people that have no manners and have horrible customer service skills.
