Pilot Travel Centers are usually clean, bright, and well-laid out. This location, just off I-5 at the Lost Hills exit, is a good example. Their restrooms are monitored for cleanliness. The refreshment area is generally well-stocked, as well as offerings patrons hot pizza by the slice and has a Cinnabon counter. There is an adjoining Wendy's hamburger restaurant for nourishment. Their gas prices are competitive with the other half dozen in the immediate area. My only criticism would be that they need more parking for patrons who are not buying fuel. read more

So when we head from the Bay Area to LA and back, we always stop at Lost Hills. Its perfect spot to break up the trip and they have cheap gas prices. We normally hit up Love's, but the last few times between non working pumps and bathroom issues, we gave Pilot a try since the gas was the same price. Pilot is first and foremost a truck stop. The truck area is separate. and they have a vast convenience store with an attached Wendy's. The gas prices always mirror Love's for the cheapest in the area and the bathrooms are clean. Stopped by for some gas from SF to LA. Passing by and right before freeway entrance plus it was cheapest on the strip and easy in and out to the Main Street. The place for 2 separate gas pump areas. One for cars and the other for trucks, which is very nice. The store is big with a lot of variety of snacks and drinks with several hot fast foods stalls plus Wendy's and Cinnabon inside. This is our go to spot for stopping when traveling up north and back home. The majority of the time the staff is always friendly and willing to help. We never have a problem with the gas so we like coming here because of the price! Our standard go to for snacks is pizza and a soda! Is there room for improvement, yip but very little. Been stopping here about six times a year going to Arizona about the same time each trip. Usually after 12 pm. For the last 10 years. Always clean, always friendly and always well stocked. Always get a fill-up, use the head and grab some decent coffee. Service is polite and as quick as they can be. I am a regular visitor to this Pilot. I commute to work and hit this one up almost every day. It's definitely the place to get the cheapest gas around. If you have their app, you get discounts on gas and food and snacks inside. Definitely a plus to have the app! Like others have said, it's clean inside for sure. They have a great assortment of drinks and snacks too. They have a Cinnabon inside! Can't go wrong there either! Just be prepared that it can get super busy here with just being off interstate 5. But, depending on the time of day, it's super easy to get in and out. Just watch out for the gas pumps. Sometimes you will come to a pump that won't read your card. You just have to move to another one. Or, go inside to pay. Not a huge deal. Definitely a nicer place to stop in than the Loves right across the street! read more

Lost Hills has many options when it comes to where to stop for a rest break. Pilot Travel Center is a good choice. Gas prices are competitive. Restrooms are above average clean. Good convenience store inside. Several food options such as Wendy's and Cinnabon. Lots of parking. Service is fine too. What else do you need? Pilot Travel Center checks off all of the boxes as far as I'm concerned. Will continue to be one of my options when stopping at this exit of Interstate 5. read more

do not use the lotto machine i put $20 in the machine, selected 2 $10 scracthers, and nothing was dispensed. it took my money. spoke with the employee, and the employee working at this time, was no help at all, and said "you lost $20" he gave me a receipt with store call back number, called later that day, was helped by another employee, who said they would pass my information to the manager. waited 2 days. and no response. called back on day 3, only to receive notice that the manager would not be back until 4 days later. finally spoke to manager, after i called again, who said they would check the machine, and call me back. after trying over, over, over, and over to get this issue resolved. no call backs received. if you happen to pit stop here. do not..... at all.... use that lotto machine, it will take your money, and the staff will not be helpful on resolving the matter. save your money, effort, energy, and time. lessoned learned. and never putting myself through that ordeal again. sad cause i fairly enjoy stopping by pilot locations on my l.a. to bay area road trips. never stopping by this location again in the future. read more

Not the cheapest gas by any means but reasonably priced for the area. Many pumps that work and squeegies that actually have foam and soap to clean windshields! Tons of snacks and drinks available as well as coffee of course. If you're a trucker or just pure stinky due to being on the road all day or night, there are showers too! Similar to other Pilot and Flying J stations, you will never be dissappointed. Sure Arco might have what seems to be cheaper gas but you are charged a fee if you use a debit card... that's why I chose Pilot! Never pass up a dollar that doesn't make cents! I dropped by, filled up my car, relieved myself, grabbed a snack and was back on the road. Thanks Pilot for providing a clean and safe place for me to get gas, stretch and on my way. This place is clean. Why is that so important? We had just come back from Morro Bay to go to Bakersfield and had a giant Coke Zero and water. Restrooms were being cleaned as I went in. There coffee was being replenished as we were deciding on what beverage to select. They had both cold brew and a machine were you can have a shot of coffee over ice. Score!!! Plenty of creamers and a few coffee syrups. They need a few sugar free syrup options. I decided on a very large iced coffee with Splenda and half&half. My husband did the same except heavy on the vanilla creamer and ice. Smooth, fresh brewed coffee. We went to check out the Cinnabon, yes they have it fresh, as well as pizza. We didn't fill up the gas tank because it was super busy. Good prices. Good service. read more

Okay so on a recent trip I've been hitting Pilots and Flying Js as much as possible. Until I got to this stop I finally got a Cinnabon. LOL. Besides that, I found it easy to maneuver into their gas lanes with our 22 foot travel trailer. No RV lanes but still easy. The bad thing is that majority of their customers would park at the pump and don't really care for the incoming traffic. Please park to the side once you are done. Fantastic place to stop, go to a bathroom, grab a snack and refill your gas tank when traveling from the Bay Area to/from Southern California. While some of the rest stops are shut down, most fast food bathrooms are closed, and most gas stations have terribly dirty bathrooms, Pilot has very clean bathrooms. They have any snack/drink of your choosing. And while many gas stations off freeway exits spike their prices, Pilot has very reasonably gas prices. I say Pilot has hit the trifecta in regards to being a great stopping point between Northern and Southern California. read more

I came here since this is one of the rest stops that megabus occasionally chooses to make a stop at. Upon walking in, there is a multitude of snacks and necessity items to choose from. They have a huge tea and coffee selection for the late night drivers and this place is open 24 hours l. I went into the women's bathroom which had 3 stalls, all of which were very clean. I decided that I was feeling some Cinnabon, so I made a stop at their stand (they have their own register) where I got the regular sized Cinnabon roll for like 4 bucks. Not bad. There was some lady behind me in line who was like "going for the big one I see" and I was like "yup, I need this", but what I was really thinking was if I'm going to stand in line for Cinnabon which is generally a pretty sweet and high calorie dessert, I don't want the mini bons (since tiny means they have a more dry outside rather than the gooey soft inside), I'm going to invest and indulge. An employee named Sandra Gresham was so rude I couldn't believe it. I told her she short charged me 5 dollars and she said you accusing me of stealing. I said no it was probably just a mistake and I said no biggie it's just 5 dollars. I told her if you are over in your till just give it to a stranded motorist or something similar. My husband and I stopped here on our drive from Orange County. The bathrooms were very clean. They had a huge assortment of self-serve beverages. I got cold brew coffee. They had a large variety of creamers even oat milk. You could also choose between cubed ice and crushed ice. My 16 oz drink was under $2. So here's some bullshit that happened to me tonight. I was leaving from Paso Robles and got just enough gas at the extremely overpriced station over there to make it out to Lost Hills for that cheap cheap gassy goodness. I was literally down to fumes when I pulled in, to absolute darkness. The normally bustling intersection with all these stations had a complete blackout. Each station had doors closed, lights off, and not a damn soul to tell anyone what was going on. The cell phone towers were out too. But then, I saw a light, from the Mobil station. He said everyone had their power out but it would be coming back within 30 minutes. Well after 30 minutes his pumps were up, and they struggled dearly. Luckily I was able to get 2 gallons. But HERES the issue: this station had NO INTENTION of turning their power on or helping anyone out. It's like the power went out and their employees said fuck it and shut down and left. Cleanliness & Dump-a-bility: 5 or 6 urinals and 6 stalls to take care of biz. The tile bathroom was nice and pretty clean. With the amount of cars outside and foot traffic inside this place was pretty decent. 4.5 2. Washing up & Supplies: Paper towels, TP, & seat covers all stocked. The sinks and soap not automatic but the air dyer and paper towel options. 4.5 3. Ambience & Changing tables & practicality: They had a changing table bonus for dad travelers. Plenty of space to maneuver with lots of sink space. Bonus no door to push open or closed on your way in or out. 5.0 4. Location- ins & outs: Parking was easy although the lot was crazy busy coming and going of travelers. Great stop to pull off the 46 before getting on the 5. The restroom is clearly marked and in the back of the store. You can walk in easily and not have to buy something if you so choose. 4.5 Overall - 18.5 out of 20- with the cheapest gas on this stretch this place is a great stop to do your plop. read more
