Cheapest gas in the area. They're open all hours I was there at 3 a.m. Twinkies are expensive at $3 for 2 but I was hungry and bought them anyway. They only take debit cards at the pump so I went inside and paid cash.

This is nice little Arco station just North of Bakersfield off the I-5 at the CA 46 Lost Hills exit. The gas is inexpensive and was $.04 less than Loves and Pilot stations. Arco does not take credit cards so you need to be prepared to pay in cash or be willing to pay the $.35 fee to use your ATM/debit card. The Ampm convenience store is well stocked and the cashier was friendly. The fountain carried Diet Dr. Pepper and you had a choice between ice cubes or crushed ice. I Always go for the crushed ice so I was stoked to find it as an option. Bonus - the bathrooms were clean, too. I'll definitely be using this as a convenient refueling stop for road trips up the I-5. Update: there is now a DQ Grill and Chill fast food restaurant open next door in the same building.

Wow a dollar cheaper than everyone else. Unlike the Arco where I live, these take debit cards at the pump, with a .35 transaction fee, no need to go in. or you can use the cash only kiosks. Busy station could use a clean up crew and it's only 6 am. Across from the pilot truck stop.

Stopped in here for a quick gas stop on the way to Walnut Creek. Location is right off of the freeway and very easy to get to. We chose this place over other gas stations because of solely the price. The quality of the gas isn't as good as Chevron or Shell but the price is way less than the others. There is a store and DQ connected to this place as well. AMPM has a bathroom that is pretty clean. You can clean your windows while you are filling up. 4 stars for the price and convenience.

$2.87. It's almost $1 more gallon across the street

Lost Hills is def a good town to bookmark for cheap gas. Bring your debit card and fill up here to save some money. Bought a couple of coffees ($1.49 - 16 oz, $1.59 - 20 oz) on our way home from SoCal Nov. 19th, and snacks (blueberry muffin $1.99, hot pork skins $1.69). The annoying $0.35 debit card fee applies both inside when purchasing, as well as at the pumps, so bring some cash to avoid this fee or just pay for your gas while you're buying snacks and only pay the fee once.

Lost Hills suits the name of this "city" because it is in the middle of nowhere. We always end up stopping here for our fuel needs whenever we're on Hwy 5 driving to LA or Las Vegas. Probably because it's around this point that our gas tank is on empty and our bladder is on full and we have no choice but to stop. This Arco location is located amongst a bunch of other gas stations and fast food restaurants but it's the cheapest gas station compared to the rest of it's neighbors in this little plaza. There's also a diner next door you can sit and eat (although we never have) and there's snacks and drinks within the little quicky-mart-type setup. The bathroom however is suspicious... seats are steel and it's really dark so you can't see if it's really that clean (and I really think it's not) but hey I guess you have to compromise if you'd prefer the cheap gas...

Came here and was surprised that there was a line. The like for the gas extended out to the road and the reason why there was one was because about a third of the pumps were out of order...

    This isn't right.

Cheapest station at this stop (Lost Hills). Middle of nowhere, but it was clean and well lit. The chevron next door was 32cents/gal more

Pretty slow service, very rude attendants. Extremely Long lines but the food was at least prepared properly.
