He was very, very ill. I rushed him straight to the emergency vet where they immediately diagnosed him with sepsis, and he died soon after. It is clear that he'd been sick for a while: Ed and Dawn told me afterwards that he'd stopped eating, drinking, and taking his arthritis meds the day before, and he hadn't even been able to STAND UP all day. Yet for some reason they chose to not reach out and let me know any of this, so he just lay helpless on the floor all day, unable to eat, drink, or stand, slipping into sepsis, and I only discovered anything was wrong when I walked in the door at 5pm to pick him up. By that time it was too late. If I'd known that Ed and and Dawn would ignore such obvious signs of distress from an animal in their care, I never would have brought my dog to them. Don't make the same mistake I did.

She's our baby, and the thought of being away from her for so long had my husband and me both anxious. Thankfully, we found Canine Corner, and from the moment we walked in, we knew she was in loving, capable hands. The team at Canine Corner went above and beyond to make us feel at ease. They were kind, patient, and completely understanding of how hard it is to leave your pup behind. Every update we got while we were away reassured us that Sadie was having an amazing time -- and judging by how she pulls us toward their door every time we walk by, I think it's safe to say she had a blast! I especially want to thank Lucas, who truly went the extra mile for us. We were stuck in terrible traffic on our way back into the city and were panicked we wouldn't make it in time to pick up Sadie before closing. They know my dog and love him, I feel like they are part of this extended family of caretakers helping to raise this pup. He absolutely loves going there. This is a truly community centered business - they don't have that icky, slick corporate feel. Don't be dissuaded by the few negative reviews - yes, mistakes happen, they could happen anywhere, and these are animals, after all. But these are exceptions to the everyday exceptional standard of care. I trust this group completely.

Do I bring someone into my home? Do I take her to my kids' house? And then there's the guilt--why am I not taking her with me? I miss her terribly when I'm away, sometimes even feel heartbroken. I think so many of us feel this way about our pets. That all changed when I found Woofs 'n Whiskers. I truly cannot say enough about how wonderful they are. They have two locations, both perfect for different needs. I live in Brooklyn Heights and use their smaller Warren Street location for daycare--it's incredibly convenient. Their other location has a large yard, an amazing staff, and is ideal for boarding. What really stands out is how well they know and care for each dog. They know every dog by name, they maintain clear and thoughtful rules, and my dog absolutely loves going there. She's stayed for as long as three weeks when I travel, and I also use them for shorter daycare visits--whether it's a couple of hours, a half day, or a full day. This business is so accommodating and well run. For example, I recently went to Florida and had a nightmare getting home--delayed for four days due to weather and travel issues. I emailed them, and within minutes I got a response: "Don't worry--we have Buddy. We'll get whatever food she needs. Stay as long as you need." They were flexible when I needed to extend, and equally flexible when my plans changed again. When I finally picked her up, she was happy, relaxed, and smelled amazing--they had given her a bath! This has completely lifted a huge burden off my shoulders. I no longer feel guilty when I travel because I know she is safe, cared for, and genuinely happy. I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share this. I highly, highly recommend them. Try them--you won't regret it.

My doggy was looking a lot hairy and a little fat , everyone thought she put on weight but she just needed a good grooming. I arrived at the shop and they did everything from the door. i found that a bit weird but figure it was a covid thing. They called me two hours late to pick her up and she was nice and clean and ready to go. she was groomed well and did seem sleepy or in distress. They did a great job. They had a fair amount of Covid protocols in place , which i was happy to see. The only thing i found a little off was the deposit policy, i have no issue leaving a deposit but the fact that it cant be transferred to another day threw me off. things happen.

I was SO happy to have found Kena & Jeffrey (and their team)/Ditmas Paws. After the initial meet and greet I felt completely at ease and confident that they could check in daily on my cat. Kena did an excellent job of caring for my somewhat skittish kitty while I was on vacation. They are pet owners themselves and I felt completely comfortable leaving my cat in their care. In addition to litter box cleaning and checking the self-feeder and waterer, Kena emailed me daily updates along with a photo of my kitty. Their website states: "We treat your pets as part of our family," and it's true. They are kind, highly qualified, professional, responsible and love animals. What more could a pet owner want in a pet caregiver? Oh, and their daily rates are very reasonable. After the meet and greet, you can schedule everything on their new/redesigned website. We can always count on Khamara to show up when scheduled, they've always been reliable and very responsible. Even implementing changes in gear and protocol when our trainer made suggestions for helping Penny acclimate to the scary noises of the big city (she's an Alabama girl). When Penny was scared in reaction to the change of having Giancarlo substitute walk for Khamara, Giancarlo was so great with taking notes from our trainer to ease the transition and get Penny more comfortable and calm. I would absolutely recommend entrusting your pups to these folks for daily walking needs. They are insured and scheduling Wales is very easy.

He's very prepared and an extremely competent professional and I am so grateful that Astro has such a great walker. LeAnna is very organized and the logistics of schedule adjustments are always painless and prompt. I cannot sing their praises enough, I have so much peace of mind and such a happy dog!
