I purchased a used outboard motor from them at the recommendation of one of the owners. Not only did it quickly fail to work, but after attempts to fix it, I was told the warranty would no longer be in force. Another marine, Bobbers Marine in Glenwood, MN got it running, but they told me to get rid of it as soon as possible. After it failed again, Z Marine in Clearwater, MN called it a "frankenstein" because of the incorrect used parts that were installed on it by A-1. Needless to say, it again died and my stepson simply got rid of the boat and motor. All of this occurred even after my wife (who knew one of the owners in Bloomington) and I met up with the other owner in Bloomington and had us deal with "Jesse" at A-1 Marine. Avoid at all costs when buying rebuilt items.

Travis…read more& Nate always greet me by name when I walk in the door even though I only come in a couple times a year to store my boat or for a mid-season repair. They have serviced my 1978 Larson IO and now my 2007 Sea Ray IO both with Mercruiser engines. Mostly winterizing but they have also replaced the bellows on the Sea Ray and fixed the speedometer. This fall I even brought them my 52" Hustler zero-turn mower for an overhaul.

We brought them pictures to show all the damage and they told us that we had done all the damage ourselves and refused to help fix it. We just bought this boat last year and it has been nothing but problems with both this boat and J&J marine. Did I mention this boat we bought was supposedly brand new!! If you are going to spend the money on a brand new boat, It should work amazingly well and the company should want to make sure their customers are satisfied with their service. That has not been the case and we will never take our business to J&Js again.
