They treat people differently based on appearance and can not manage to be decent human beings. The office is the main and if not only problem with this school. Even their parking is better than the office staff. This office staff is worse than a hospitals office. I've been treated better at Walmart. They treat me horribly when I go in there. They clearly do not want to be there and don't know how to treat students. We're almost legal adults and should be treated with the slightest bit of respect. I am not asking for much, just to have my words validated and to not be basically shooed out of a school office. The bottom line is that there needs to be a whole new office staff put in there. The principals, vice principals and counsellors are all fine and are great to work with, too so I do not see how all of the low level bottom feeders for office staff are all so horrible. Even the campus monitor that goes around campus on her golf cart is super sweet and welcoming, it's just those receptionists and clerks that do the basic paper work and deal with attendance. I will admit, the attendance discipline for being late or missing a day is super strict and a little much but that's not the point. If you can avoid going into the office for any reason most of the school year, kudos. If not, I'm totally sorry and I wish you the best of luck dealing with these dismissive, disrespectful and unhappy people.

first of all, the whole 3 years that i went to this awful school, i cannot recall one good…read moreexperience i've had. to begin, the teachers are genuinely unbelievably rude and selfish, and will single anyone out who breathes too loud, unless you are straight A student, or you are in some sort of academic activity or sports team that benefits the school. the teachers also believe that they have every right to be a bully a student, and go out of their way to stop class to intentionally embarrass a student or send them out and create a scene for no reason, and then continue teaching class, taking away their learning time with no second thought that they might be wrong, since the teachers think that they are superior and somehow don't face any repercussions at all for their actions, but as soon as they spread misinformation of students, it's immediately acted on and taken much more seriously then the actually reoccurring issues with teachers. the gym teacher will also scream in students faces, and has thrown his radio at the ground which is entirely inappropriate and a danger for students to be around an adult, a TEACHER, someone who cannot manage their own emotions. there has also been fights at this school. and the first thing they do is confiscate everyone's phone instead of treating the victim. there was a victim at my school who suffered a concussion, and mr gassaway, the former principal at this school, didn't call the victims parents until about an hour later, and made no apology or took any accountability, simply ignoring the entire situation. there has been time where my own family has reached out to asses situations where i have either been singled out or falsely accused of something, and once again, he ignored all emails, even after my family member had shown up to speak to him directly, he would brush it off, saying he has lots of emails to respond to, which really shows he doesn't care about his students, and would rather ignore all issues, only punishing the students without a second thought. and the office ladies, every time i would walk into that office, i was either ignored for minutes straight, or stared down like i was the worse part of their entire job. they yell, give attitude, and are entirely inefficient when it comes to actually doing their job instead of gossiping about students. if you are to ever consider sending your children here, do NOT. this school does not take education seriously, and your kid will most likely be ignored or treated as an inconvenience.

do not send your children here. the teachers and staff are absolutely unbearable. 95% of all…read moreteachers are incredibly selfish and rude, and will usually only focus on one or two students out of a class that have 25-30 students, leaving your child unfulfilled and feeling ignored or not taken seriously, which is something no one should let pass as fine let alone even be considered to be in any way acceptable or normal. the teachers themselves prioritize singling someone out if they even make the slightest mistake, and going out of their way to go after the student for the rest of the year, and even go as far as spreading completly misinformation to higher staff, such as the principle or even administration. some of the teachers at this school also have a feeling of obligation and right as to purposefully embarrass students in front of a whole class, which is completely unacceptable and inappropriate. if you are thinking of sending your child to this school, read this and think again.

All have played sports at Pondo and been involved in clubs and other groups which both strengthened their bond to their classmates and to the school. We found teachers and coaches to genuinely care about our kids and their friends. Most of the students live in less densely populated neighborhoods and correspondingly you'll see more pickups than BMWs in the parking lot each morning. We enjoyed the lower level of pretense that exists here versus the other choices down the hill and believe our kids benefitted from it.

Newsflash- a school district should NOT be coercing and manipulating kids into taking an experimental non fda approved "vaccine". After a year of distance "learning"; while the county and school take CARES blood money in return, when have you started caring about our kids?! Public schools long ago only taught to standardized tests for money. They've been a joke in California for years! I am so glad my kid is graduating this year and in a few years we are leaving this state with it's failed policies and public school system. Shame on Pondorosa high school and ALL schools in el dorado union for not only this message, but what you've done to our kids the past 15 months! Are we on day 400 of 2 weeks to slow the spread??? I can't keep up. And neither can my hospital who lost so much money over LACK of patients. Keep your "vaccine" and stop manipulating our kids abd lying to them! You are NOT my child's parent. You do NOT get to tangle carrots for them and tell them when they get to go back to doing things they love. You already took my kids senior year away from her and same with the kids last year. You're a disgusting entity further propagating the Covid theater and fear.
