There aren't enough words to describe how terrific having The Charred Pie so close by - a neighborhood friendly place! Food is consistently delicious - menu diverse and too many choices! Pizza is, of course, the House Specialty - whatever you are in the mood for - it's here! Save room for a delectable dessert - or bring a piece of cake home for later. The service is outstanding. All staff are attentive, friendly and look after your every need. A special shout out to Scott - the best Host, Server and Manager (on the last evening I was there) at any restaurant near or far! He is an outstanding asset - a true gentleman and a gem! I highly recommend you stop in - have lunch or dinner. Hard to beat this place where they welcome you like neighbors! read more

Not at all good. The pizza must be frozen and just reheated before serving. It was bland. I'd rather get a frozen pizza from the grocery store. Service was ok. read more

I'm afraid this place has slipped a bit since our last few visits. Several of the dishes we really liked are gone (eggplant sandwich, one of the salads). I had the fennel and sausage pizza which was good sized and a nice crust, but the sausage didn't have much flavor and the fennel could have used a saute before going on the pizza. My wife had the gyro, and the meat was burnt. Service was good - the waitress even brought a sample of the chardonnay to make sure it was to our liking. Maybe its just the summer doldrums read more

Food is delicious. Had the happy hour pizza &1/2 salad. Very fresh. I am very picky about my pizza and this one was so good. Wood fired. Loved it. Service and staff are super. read more

Tried this place last night before our movie. We ordered the pepperoni pizza with a side of hot honey, the Korean wings, and ended our meal with the carrot cake dessert, which was recommended by our waitress. Starting with the pepperoni pizza: it was the perfect portion to share between two people. If we had a larger party, we definitely would have needed more. The taste was amazing the pepperoni was evenly distributed throughout the entire pizza, and the sauce was very good. I definitely recommend adding the hot honey and asking for it on the side; it added an extra burst of flavor. The Korean wings came with seven pieces. They were crispy and full of flavor. The carrot cake was a great size one of those portions where you know you'll have leftovers, so you cut the slice as high as you can. We shared it between my fiancé and me, and it was so worth it. The service was fast, and our waitress, Oceana, did an amazing job explaining the menu and recommending items. She checked on us throughout the meal and made sure we were enjoying everything 10/10 service. The ambiance was really nice. We asked to be seated outside since the weather was nice, and they have heaters to keep you warm. And the music they were playing Christmas music, which made it even better. We've always walked past this place since it's next to our movie theater, and in the last six years we had never tried it until last night. It did not disappoint. This will now be our go-to spot before any movie. read more

Delicioso! freshly made personal size pizzas and we loved charred brussel sprouts... SOOOO GOOOD! Always friendly good service. Indoors is nice & cool and there's patio misters for mtn views. read more

Finally had a chance to check out Charred Pie and it did not disappoint! We ordered the Korean wings and a pepperoni pizza, both were delicious. Oceana was our waitress and she was great! Friendly, welcoming and full of great recommendations since it was our first visit. We sat outside and actually enjoyed it even more than sitting indoors. It was quieter and the Christmas music added a nice touch. For dessert, we tried the carrot cake which came as a very generous slice. Next time, I'll definitely be trying the Mexican street corn pizza. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for great pizza and friendly service! read more

The food is great and you get a very large portion. Service was excellent. Just the correct amount of attention. Inside is nice but the patio is great too. read more

I showed up without a reservation and luckily there were ample spots open at the bar, inside and out. I usually order some type of meat-lovers pizza, but wanted to mix things up a bit and order the prosciutto arugula. As you can tell from the photo, the arugula is piled high. I wish there was more sauce and prosciutto, but it doesn't mean the pizza wasn't delicious, because it really was. The dough had a nice, charred flavor to it, in addition to being soft and chewy. Each bite was flavorful, but I don't think I like fontina cheese that much. I wonder if it would be just as good with mozarella instead? Charred Pie is a lively restaurant. The noise level wasn't too loud and it seemed liked there was something for everyone to enjoy here. There's also a movie theater conveniently located next door. read more

Wings are awesome! Caprese salad was very good! Loved the bread! They could have used an additional server to cover the floor. Ours was running his ass off but service was good. We will go again! read more

We made a reservation being a Friday night and all. The pizza option are pretty set but you can add additional topping to any of their speciality pizza. We went with the Fun guy added their homemade sausage. The service was okay, felt pretty in and out. The ambiance was pretty laid back and cool feeling to it. read more

The service was terrible. A reservation was made for 12 people for 6 PM. For didn't arrive until after 8. Complained to Owner and he promise to send a gift certificate but nothing was sent. Avoid!! read more

Used to love this place. First they got rid of our two favorite pizzas. Then, the last time I was there, we only got 3 pecans in the Farmhouse Salad and it didn't taste very good on top of that, the homemade lemonade was totally off and disgusting, AND, even worse, a kids party started up and the screaming was off the charts. I got a huge migraine from it and had to leave early. AND the service sucked. Won't go back. read more

Charred Pie is definitely becoming one of my favorite spots to eat at in Oro Valley! The service is great and the food is incredibly fresh and delicious. Tonight, there was no wait and our food came out really quickly. I tried the Margherita pizza, which has a thinner crust and great flavoring. However, the highlight for me was the Bloody Mary Grilled Cheese which is an incredible sandwich on focaccia with horse radish, bacon, plenty of cheese, and a side of Bloody Mary dipping sauce. The flavors weren't too heavy and the side salad was really refreshing! Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area! read more

We are big fans. We go on weekdays. Almost always when Leslie, Scott, Holly and Ria are working. They are all ALLSTARS!! We usually get a specialty pizza with different toppings. They never have a problem with our requests. The salads are a must try. The basil vinaigrette on the house salad is outsatnding! Have tried almost everything on the menu...recommend it all! read more

Came here after going to the movies with some friends and it was a pretty packed, rainy Sunday evening but we managed to get a table near where the pizza makers show off their skills. Our server was super friendly and we were glad they do happy hour daily because we took advantage of it with 15 minutes left. My sister and I got the Margherita and pepperoni pizzas, and our friends wanted to try a white pizza and our server recommended the green and cheesy since the pesto was so good (and she was right). The char on the pizzas were perfect, the sauce has a nice balance of sweetness and acidity, they were generous with the cheese as well. The other standouts were the buffalo and Korean wings, probably some of the most flavorful, sauced, and *meatiest* wings I've ever had. We were too busy enjoying the food for me to get pictures of everything. At happy hour prices, we were very happy. I only wish they had a location more central/midtown but will definitely return when I'm in Oro Valley (but it's worth the trip from any side of town, honestly). Some of the best pizza, wings, happy hour deals, and friendly service I've had in a while. read more

Stopped in on a busy weekend dinner service and had no issue getting a seat quickly. Staff were very helpful in picking out drinks and food. While they don't have a featured vegan pizza, they offer vegan cheese and sausage, which made it super easy to build a delicious pie. I got one with artichokes and sun dried tomatoes. The crust was cooked perfectly and the sauce and toppings were all great. I'll definitely be coming back for more. read more

Good food, but the service left a lot to be desired, especially for take out. We called our order in and was told it would be about 20-25 minutes. We arrived after 25 minutes and the food still wasn't ready. I waited almost another 15 minutes before the food was finally done. Everything on the order was correct, but when we got home (only about a 5 minute drive), everything was cold. This left me to believe our order was sitting around for a while before they gave it to me. There's a view into the kitchen from the front, and I could tell whoever was running the kitchen was confused with orders. The place wasn't even that full, maybe about 10 tables only. Not good. If we go back, we will try to dine in next time to see if that makes a difference. read more

Great experience, amazing food as always, and we hope to get Scott as our server next time! Incredible and friendly service!

I love this place - a couple times a month! Great staff really makes the difference here; They're always friendly. Even my last visit when I had to place a last minute order just 20 minutes before an early close for the holiday, they were unfazed. They still treated me great, offered me a water while I waited, made me a great pizza cooked as exactly as ordered, and amazing Korean wings to take home. The cocktails are top quality, and sport freshness - try one of their signature drinks for the full experience. read more

Ordered the Korean wings and 2 pizzas: the meats and the sausage & fennel for the fam. Everything they make here is phenomenal!!! They smile and greet you when you walk in. The place is just pristine... literally so clean. I had to wait a bit because I ordered at the door so I had time for a rum & coke at the bar. Nice pour, just delicious. I appreciate places that pride in everything they do and it really shines through at Charred Pie Oro Valley! read more

I always go here for pizza before my movies but the last two times I've been there, the pizza has been very dry and also burnt. I ordered a margarita pizza and also a pepperoni for my family. The pepperoni was extremely salty and dry. The margarita barely had any toppings and was chewy, burnt and flavorless! Total waste of $40! I don't think I'm ever going back! read more

Great stop while in Oro, happened to be Happy Hr, score! and also on Pi Day!! Place was packed and a camp chair crowd was parked outside the Century 16 for a free Blues courtyard concert right next door. Charred's bar had it's windows open to patio so the tunes floated on in, a nice lilt to the dining room din. Right around 6PM after HHr, the room had lots of tables open up. Killer deal, $2 off sips and $7.90 for 7" or so pizzettes, we took one of each pepperoni and margherita. Fresh mozz cheese basil was lovely over a nice San marzocco style tomato base which could have a lil more pop but it was still good as was the pie itself...crust comes nicely charred from the wood oven but found the dough a bit light and thin on the density for a neopolitan. We cleaned plates and really enjoyed both our IPA $5 and Local Roots Hard Kombucha Coconut Pineapple Blue Spirulina just $3 with our $2 off ea. So often looking for a low cal sugar alternative to watch sugar and this just 4g Sugars and 125 Cals. Tower Station IPA from Mother Rd Brewing Co, Flagstaff AZ was an unfiltered, copper tan, cloudy colored medium body ale with pineapple tangerine and light pine finish, decent hoppiness@ 70 IBUs, , 7.3% ABV. Wow the Gyro I saw come out filled half a plate, so will be sure to return to do some other Handy work here at CharredP ;D read more

I'm going to give a 3 because the food is great but we waited 25 mins for a table in a virtually empty restaurant. So I went to the bar and waited 20 mins to have the bartender acknowledge us. Then we flagged down a server and she rudely said, yeah she'll be right with you! There were zero managers in sight and it's being run at the front by teenagers who sat people that came in after us and we had only 2 people in their party and so were we!! This will be our last time here, sadly. The owners or managers should see this in action!! read more

So we've heard of this place and decided to give it a try today. Entrance was welcoming, host sat us down right away and gave us menus. We were excited to try a new pizza spot, we ordered a variety of pizzas to try them all out. We were greeted by our server after a long wait and it wasn't even busy. So we let it pass, then a completely different server brought us our drinks. That was the last time we got our drinks touched/refilled. Pizzas came out and of course they were not well done as we requested so we let this slide as well. The flavor of the food was good, however the service was horrible. The manager came by to check on us and he was nice, but the server was more attentive to other tables and acted like we weren't his section. We had to wave him down to ask for napkins, or some ranch and you would think seeeing our drinks empty that he would refill or ask, nope. He just left and we noticed he was at the other tables much more often. All in all the food was good, but the experience was horrible all because of the service. The host, the manager were good but whoever trains these servers had to speak with them. It's service 101 to refill drinks especially when eating pizza. Well all in all we probably won't be back because in our books service goes a long way, and sadly they lack at this. I wanted this place to be awesome, but today it fell really short. read more

Went here the other night and honestly everything was so good. I got the pepperoni pizza with candied jalapeños after Liliana recommended it, and I'm not even kidding, that's probably gonna be my order every time now. Dined at Charred Pie for restaurant week again this year. They usually have one of the best deals. This year it was 2 glasses of wine (or beer or soft drink), a pizza, and a dessert for $25. Cannot beat that! There's indoor, outdoor, and bar seating. Love the interior. Cozy with an open kitchen and a couple TVs at the bar. Service was excellent. Friendly and helpful. The real showstopper is the food. We added a bread appetizer and it was so delicious! My mom claimed our sausage and fennel pizza was the best she's ever had! The cheesecake dessert was so unique and perfect: salted caramel pretzel. This is a great spot! I can't wait to return. read more

If you decide to try this place, please make sure Ana isn't your server. The only thing she did well was a disappearing act. She was rude and saw her maybe twice throughout our loooong dinner.
