Good food and nice ambiance! We stopped by for a quick and kid friendly dinner, ordering a kids pizza ($8 for four slices), speck pizza ($24) meatball appetizer ($16) and a fall cocktail ($14). The meatballs arrive with a scoop of ricotta and the speck on top of the pizza really benefitted from the char (restaurant's namesake!) with a nice crisp that balanced out everything else. I just found the rest of the slice to be a little flimsy (soggy sort of, but not in a bad way!), likely because of the truffle oil and the hot honey drizzle this particular pie comes with. Everything was good but, aside from the kids meal and the drink, felt priced $2-$3 higher than it should have been. I suspect they just folded their CC fees and maybe a bit more into their menu, since we didn't get hit with an extra charge when the bill came. 12/7/25. Party of 6, got a table no problem @6:30 on a Sunday. Shared the mozzarella sticks with fries, zucchini chips, baked clams (not enough garlic), burrata and fried calamari (good). Entrees varied but I had the money bags (minus tomatoes) and it was tasty, the sweeter pear inside paired well with the champagne cream sauce. Tasted the chicken Marsala and it was good too. We love this place, and when we were on L.I. for my birthday (and to visit family), we came HERE for my birthday dinner. Very busy and NOISY place, but it worked out fine when my 1 year old granddaughter started to cry. Nobody could hear her, lol. The only way to dine ! So I was slightly disappointed with this place to be honest. We got multiple apps, a pasta, and pizza, with everything being rather mediocre. The pizza dough was cooked very well and tasted good, but the top was soupy and a little dough like. Im assuming the brick oven temperature was off, since the top doesnt fully cook when that happens. Felt like this should not occur at a brick oven pizza spot. The baked clams were very good and the best part of the meal. Their meatballs were average. We got the money bag pasta to split which I thought was overrated. The sauce was good, the tortellini was slightly under cooked and the shrimp added a very odd mixture to the taste. I'd Def say the shrimp is unnecessary and doesnt go. Service was decent, not bad, not amazing. The resturant itself is a decent size and has all table and chair seating. Not a huge fan of this place. I wanted to love it, I really did, but I wasn't impressed. It took a while for a waitress to come and greet us and the drinks were poorly made. Did I not review Charred ? Hmmm We loved it here despite the kind of haphazard seating, pizza boxes lining the aisle where we sat. It's been about 10 months, so perhaps the dining room has changed. We had a Margarita Pizza, a good way to feel out a Brick Oven's skills...good, solid crust. Our daughter loves a Vodka Chicken Parm Rigatoni & this did not disappoint. I had the stuffed artichoke, and it was fabulous. Really good in a nice lemony sauce, not just a pool of oil& breadcrumbs. The filling seemed to have Panko which was a nice twist & held together well, showcasing the flavors & ingredients. My husband and I had a very difficult weekend personally speaking, so we decided to use a gift card we received for this restaurant. We placed an order for a sandwich and zeppoles. My husband came and picked up the order. When he got home, we realized we were given an entirely different order with the exception of the zeppoles. We called the restaurant right away and offered to bring the incorrect order back. We even said we would be willing to pay the difference if needed, as we understand that mistakes happen. However, the manager told us we would have to pay full price for a new sandwich. This was really disappointing. We were not asking for anything unreasonable--just a fair solution to an error that was not ours. We completely understand that mistakes can happen, but the response we received felt dismissive and unfair. I've wanted to check out Charred ever since they opened in Seaford. So far, in the last month, I've dined here twice. Both times, I was very happy with the food. The first time, I had the Chicken Parmigiana which came with Rigatoni. It was cooked perfectly and the sauce was really good. And the portion was really big. The second time, I had the Shrimp Oreganata. I've never had this dish before, but it sounded good so I decided to try it. It definitely was the right choice! The shrimp, white wine sauce, breadcrumbs was such a good mix. I definitely recommend it. I had a slice of the Veggie Italiana pizza that my friends ordered and I thought it was one of the better pizzas in the area. This pizza should have been a contender! What we experienced was a great waitress and a perfectly cooked Fritto Misto during our visit. Charred Brick Oven is one of Newsdays top pizzas for 2022. I had this place bookmarked for a while, I want to try some of the outrageous sounding pizza and fate had us in the area. I thought I'd grab a pizza to go but I see the oven front and center, let me drink a cold one on tap and whatever we don't eat then we'll take home. We're seated in a fancy pizza spot with checkered tablecloths. There is a bar to the right side to have a beer, I'm not sure if they do slices here. The Fritto Misto comes out first. Cooked perfectly and not too greasy, this was a great starter. The sauce that came on the side was also very flavorful. So far so good. We ordered the Grandma pizza because we wanted to try the best of what Charred Brick Oven has to offer. The pizza comes to the table. The crust isn't burnt but well done. The ingredients are all high quality, from the sauce to the cheese, this pizza is ready to slay dragons. So why three stars?? The dough was overworked and made the gluten tighten up. The crust was really hard to bite through. I tried to use a knife to cut the pizza into bite size pieces and it was hard to do. Based on my second visit, the food was consistently delicious. The portions are very fair. I went for a birthday celebration with my friends and we all had a blast. Charred brick pizza is a charming restaurant in Seaford. It was bustling when I came for dinner on a Wednesday night, but we were seated pretty quickly. The highlight of this meal was the fried eggplant appetizer- the eggplant was so good and it went so well with the tomato and the mozzarella. The pizza I ordered was just alright. Amazing drinks (see vodka martini pic with floating crushed ice), the most tender grilled octopus over cannelloni beans, delicious kale Caesar salad perfectly dressed and their wood fired Neapolitan pizza topped with fresh meatball and basil. Christmas Eve, one of the few places open late (10pm) and for a single guy who sees his family on Christmas day, this is perfect. As a regular, i expected nothing less than a great meal and was not disappointed. Sat at the very cozy bar with long time bartender / manager, Melissa who is always pleasant and very attentive throughout my meal. She kills it, works hard and never misses a beat. I was torn between a few items and Melissa helped me decide on my meal. For an appetizer i had the mussels in a red sauce, outstanding and plenty of delicious broth and garlic. Entree was linguine and white clam sauce, no surprise here, fresh clams, tasty broth and plenty of garlic. Dessert was the warm bread cake with vanilla ice cream paired with a grand marnier. Yum! I got a new favorite indulgence spot! 3 of us out for delicious food Friday night. This is a busy place so be prepared for a 20-30 min wait, they don't do reservations. It's got an energetic vibe, clearly happy patrons drinking, eating and talking. The food is great, wood fired pizza as well as a kitchen menu. We ordered woodfired chicken wings with catamelized onions, ricotta balls in truffle cream sauce and a stuffed artichoke for appetizers. The artichoke and the wings were absolutely delicious. None of us cared for the ricotta balls, but I believe it was more the sauce than anything else. We only ordered those after reading reviews on yelp, but to each his own it may not have been anyone's flavor profile in our group. We each ordered a pizza so we had a Verace pie and added some red roasted peppers, a broccoli Rapini pie, and a mortadella pistachio cream pie. The broccoli Rapini Pie is slightly spicy but absolutely delicious. The Verace was sublime with the DOP tomatoes and bufalo mozzarella. The mortadella pie stole the show, with pistachio cream, arugula salad and heavenly mortadella on top. There is just a hint of sweetness perhaps a white balsamic or a splash of honey vinaigrette on arugula, perfection! We were way too full to have dessert but I would've liked to try some of the things that I saw on the menu and going out of the kitchen. We heard about Charred when we were in the Bahamas in 2021 and on the table next to us was a couple from Massapequa. So us four excited Long Islanders started discussing our favourite restaurants and the couple told us that Charred was their favourite restaurant. When we looked up the reviews, they had mixed reviews and we forgot about it. FAST FORWARD to January 2023, it was my brother-in-laws bday and he suggested Charred. So we were like why not, let's give it a shot. We were a party of 8 adults, 3 Kids and they don't take reservations. So we walked in at 5pm on a Saturday thinking we will get space. But the restaurant was packed! After a 40 minute wait, we were seated. The hosts were great they kept us updated on our table progress. From the servers to every single dish we ordered the experience was outstanding. The servers made great suggestions, the pizzas were fresh and flavourful, each pizza stayed true to its description and tasted great! We ordered many other side dishes but the one that stole my heart was a chicken parm sandwich, the batter of the cutlet was beyond perfection, I will think about that sandwich for a long long time!
