Great experience. The staff was a little impersonal and messed up a little, but the flight was great.

My friend and his daughter tried enjoying a night trip of there HOME city and sadly (GERLADINE) as their employee was RUDE beyond description and SUPER disrespectful enough to make his daughter CRY like WTH... Then the THREATS of leaving them when they were 45 minutes early, read that again... YES (45 minutes early) for a $1000 for two people this should be red carpet treatment all the way! And mind you thats $1000 for literally "25 MINUTES ONLY" so to make a LONG story short DO NO BOOK HERE AT ALL! And look at there reply when he sent them a DM on instagram... Just shows you how much they care about there customers... TERRIBLE!

The day we wanted to flight was uncertain because of the weather, so we decided to schedule another day. We thought our flight would be on Sunday, but it was on Saturday. When we called on Saturday to check everything, it was said we already missed the flight. We understood we did the mistake and we asked to reschedule for another date. We knew that we would have to pay a fee for that, what we would never imagine is that they would charge us a fee that costed MORE THAN THE PRICE OF THE SERVICE WE BOUGHT. In other words, this fee is just a way to keep your money without provide a service, as nobody will pay a fee that is more expensive than to purchase another flight. So basically they took the money without provide the service or give us a real chance to reschedule the service. Keep in mind that when we travel unexpected things can happen and this company would take your money without care.

Did they wanna go with me for this one??? Nooooo lol. I wanted to make sure I was over NYC at night to see the beauty of the city lights. So we had to drive to Liberty Helicopter's Kearny NJ heliport for the $200 City Lights Tour. This tour was WELL WORTH IT! My wife was on the ground watching me lift off haha. The tour lasted about 15-20 minutes and I sat upfront with the pilot. This was such a smooth and breath-taking experience. The staff was awesome..especially "Q" who made us all feel relaxed before the big event with his information about visitors' perspectives from around the world and had explained how much of a "family" atmosphere this Kearny heliport is as compared to the NY heliport. I would definitely take this tour again!!

Once we got there we had to show them our IDs and watch a safety video. Then they took in a line to the chopper, before you board they take your picture which you can purchase later. The ride was amazing, the views were beautiful and you get to see a lot in 15 minutes. You start by seeing the Statue of Liberty as you head through downtown then the garden as you head to midtown. You get to see a lot and as a New Yorker I knew where to look and what I was looking at but I felt bad for the other people there since they were tourist and the pilot didn't really say much or explain the sites. Overall it was a great experience.

This has been an experience that I have wanted for a very long time, so when I go the chance I…read morebooked it! I used to live in NYC but now in south Texas, but seeing the city from the sky would be a whole different way to see it. I paid extra for a guaranteed window seat, as I am a photographer and wanted a clear view, however I will come other that later in my review. After making and paying for my reservation (and it's not that cheap with the add-ons) I received my email with instructions. One of them was to arrive 1 hour and 15 minutes before my scheduled flight time. I thought I had left my hotel in good time, about two and a half hours prior, but good old NJ Path train had other ideas and we sat on the track for a good while. I called the number on my reservation just to let them know that I would be 5-10 minutes late, and I was met by a very unsympathetic young man on the phone, who told me that once I get there they will assess late charges! For 5-10 minutes? I found him quite rude and probably he did not represent the company the way they wish? He then put the phone down and that was that. Not really great customer service over the phone. I did arrive about 6 minutes late, and was told that would not be a problem. The young lady at the desk told me, 'it's not a big deal', and was somewhat surprised I was told there would be late charges for a few minutes. She lead me to a conference room to watch a safety video, pretty obvious stuff, but it needs to be watched. After that I was taken to the back room to stow my bag in a locker and then I had the harness strapped on to me. The entire facility was top notch, so to speak, very light and modern, and most of all relaxing. So if you are a nervous flyer their space is just for you. A very jovial gentleman then drive myself and four other passenger the short 2 minute journey to the airfield, where we met by Evan and he took us to the helicopter. Evan was super nice. He is a credit to the company. I was sat in the co-pilot seat, and my fellow passengers behind me. The fact that everyone had a 'window seat' ticked me off as I did not need to pay the extra up charge. And even if it was full, meaning two middle seats in the back, there was ample viewing. Evan started the clock, fired up the engine, stabilized all what needed to be done and we took off. At about 500ft up, he said that I could swing my feet out of the helicopter, he told me not too worry, I was securely strapped in, and from then on my camera was firing away. At times I purposely stopped shooting, put the camera down and take it all in. By the way, it's breathtaking! Flying over Jersey City, Statue of Liberty, Lower Manhattan, up the East river to take in all of Manhattan was just amazing. Evan gave us some point of interests on where we were but for the most part he let us enjoy the flight. I did pay for an extra time flight of 30 minutes versus the normal 16 minute flight. However I did not notice on the website any description stating that the clock starts as soon as the engine does so in fact I think the flight was about 22-23 minutes. Again, paid for the extra time and did not get it all in the air. Over all, it was a great experience and I would definitely be a returning customer.

My friends traveled from Brazil to the United States for a vacation and booked a FlyNYON helicopter…read moreflight in New York as one of the special experiences during their trip. Unfortunately, their flight could not take place because the airspace was closed by the government that day. We completely understand that FlyNYON has no control over government decisions or airspace restrictions. However, what is extremely disappointing is that FlyNYON refused to provide a refund for a service that was never provided and instead offered a voucher. The voucher is NOT a reasonable solution for my friends. They live in Brazil and are not residents of New York or even the United States. They traveled internationally for a specific vacation and have no plans to return to New York within the voucher period. They paid for an experience that they were unable to receive, and offering a voucher effectively forces them to spend additional money and make another international trip just to use something they already paid for. This is particularly disappointing because international customers should not be treated as though they can simply come back to New York whenever they want. I understand that FlyNYON has terms and conditions regarding government-imposed flight restrictions. Nevertheless, good customer service should also take into account the actual circumstances of the customer. In this case, a refund would have been a much more reasonable and fair resolution for international visitors who cannot realistically use a future voucher. If you are traveling from outside the United States, I strongly recommend reading FlyNYON's cancellation and refund policy very carefully before booking. Very disappointing customer service and a frustrating experience for visitors who came all the way from Brazil.

He was an older gentleman, and when I told him about trying to reschedule or something because of my grandfather he just smirked and told me they can't do anything, and I could come alone if I'd like. Out of human decency, I decided not to fly by myself, and comfort my grandpa which Georgie was kind enough to help me with.
