Angel the pilot on the left

I see all the low ratings so just offsetting the sample and maxing out the rating. I went here with my dad and brother and we had an overall fantastic time! The price is a bit steep but mind that you are FLYING in a helicopter where you're paying for the view, the pilot license/training, GAS, air traffic designations, coordination whatever that may entail. A fun story about our trip was our Uber driver was a Peruvian pilot that fought for Argentina in the Falkland Wars. He got super excited and relived his past with us. Shares photos of his history and upbringing. Such a beautiful soul that my pop took a picture with him. I regret not joining because I was having that offspring 'OMG dad can you not' moment. Anyways, arrive early so you're set up for orientation. Everything takes time to set up so just manage your time accordingly before and be patient. Once you're in the air, its amazing seeing the American life at work. You cross from Jersey and see all the ports and ship all your Amazon bullsh**. Then you have one of the greatest cities this Empire has built. It may not be the same but its a culmination of all that history leading to that moment of some random schmuck that can afford to take their family up there - who came from nothing. Nothing beats that. If you can - take the time to do it. Service was helpful, informative, and the pilot was really awesome. We were his SECOND flight ever (obviously after his training and license and whatnot). And we had a GREAT time. Oh its also VERY GUSTY. I was holding onto my phone for dear life because I had no case and was an idiot thinking, "oh i got this". So if you're anxious about that, there's that.

Upon arrival, George greeted me like an old friend while making sure I watched the safety video and was fully informed about my trip. Captain Giovanni executed a perfect liftoff, flight, and landing. The flight was much smoother than my driving. Zero reason for any anxiety. I'll happily fly with them again! A few improvements are suggested: 1. We were told to remove everything from all of our pockets to bring nothing (except a cell phone). Since our pilot went above and beyond, I wish I had been allowed to carry cash to tip him. 2. My flight was delayed. I appreciate that they emailed me at 3 AM. However, a text two hours before departure would have been nice. 3. I was surprised to see a $125 booking fee, even though the fee was clearly shown before checking out. It would have been nice if I had known sooner, but I obviously booked anyway.

The trip was great! I red online that I should avoid FlyNyon because it was a scam, something with weather conditions or coming 1 min late. Well we did not have that problem. They say to come 1h15m in advance. Well that's logical cause you have to see the safety video and put in belts etc. You are not the only one flying. If you are a big guy like me, be prepared cause in the helicopter there isn't much space. Once you are in the sky and can take your feet outside, it's great. I would recommend flying when it is sunny, without any clouds. It was perfect. Next time I would fly with Sunset. The staff was great! The pilot, Skyler, was a great guy. Funny and open to talk. All by all, the views were amazing! Especially with the doors off! I would recommend to pay extra for 30m. You can't get the experience anywhere else! Thanks guys for the everything!

Brad, the one that basically said he doesn't care they were only in town for one day, we either pay them more or leave with no refund.

SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. READ BEFORE PURCHASING!!! terrible customer service, (*BRAD & JUSTICE* especially) i don't think i've ever experienced worse customer service than here. no common decency or respect. They only care about the $, they're strictly $ driven & don't care about customer service or satisfaction. CHECK YOUR EMAIL THE DAY OF FLIGHT BECAUSE THEY WILL CHANGE THE TIME & PROBABLY FROM 16 min flight to 30 min flight so you HAVE to pay the difference or pay the fee to reschedule for the 16 min flight smh. (our friends that went 2 days before us, during the day, said terrible customer service as well, but their flight didn't get switched) i booked a flight w 2 of my buddies for doors off shoe selfies flight. Ended up paying $398 for the 16min flight. booked it on late thursday night/friday early morning, for the flight on saturday night. Our flight is at 10:05pm & we get there at 8:45pm, 5 minutes earlier than you're supposed to get there (1 hr 20 mins b4). Good vibes, excited,& grateful to be able to experience this with eachother. Just to be told 20 mins after getting there, that they changed our flight to a 30 minute flight (**more expensive, without our permission or knowledge) AND it was moved to an hour earlier & we either have to reschedule and pay the fees for rescheduling OR pay $125/each more for the longer flight that was leaving in a few minutes. *BRAD* was very hostile & aggressive telling us this information & saying "we know you knew about it so even if you tell us you didn't, we know you're lying" none of us were aware that it changed to an hour earlier, if they would've told us, we had PLENTY of time to get there before 7:50pm if we knew they decided to change the flight sooner & to a longer one. i told him "we're only in town for a day we can't reschedule?!" & BRAD Said "So.....? what does that have to do with this? that's not my problem. Most people that fly here are only in town for a day." (basically exposed that he knows most ppl don't have a choice but to pay more because they can't reschedule.) very disrespectful, aggressive tone & attitude. If they do this often (as shown in the reviews) they should put this in the original email next to confirmation # in big writing that the flight might get changed without knowledge. my buddy asked if this happens a lot & the manager "Justice" with the glasses said "honestly this has never happened before, this never happens." (we didn't see the reviews until after.) & my buddy respectfully & calmly asked if we were gonna get reimbursed & pay one payment for the 30 min flight or if we were paying the additional price, & Justice got very hostile & aggressive again. I called today to get his name because he said he was the manager, i thought his name was Max but Erika on the phone (after asking her to look it up who worked yesterday, because she just said "i dont know who worked yesterday" instead of simply looking it up for me) said the only manager working that day is Justice. & not only did i pay for the doors off -shoe selfie flight, but the pilot Giovanny, called my name first, put me in the seat which has a window barrier that you can't just turn to put your feet out. then for the 3rd person, he calls my name again and said oh you're raine? oh shit, i put you in the wrong seat, nevermind lets see what we can do & i said wait wait no i wanna move!!! & he said but uh actually nevermind, & called the other person to go where i should've been sitting. (i thought it was based off of "weight & balance" like they claim on their website) I couldn't get any cool pictures with my cool shoes *specifically for the shoe selfies* with the majestic city lights & view in the background. Also the pictures on social media show the statue of liberty being SO much closer than the helicopter actually goes. Just a huge disappointment & frustrated. They don't reassure you at all about the safety before going on the flight either. Telling us about the word "egress egress" what to do when the pilot says that (like it's expected) until we asked when will he be saying that at the end?! are we gonna be safe? is that just for an emergency?? then he told us oh yeah just for emergency. This is Brad & Justice in the pictures. none of us saw the email that they changed the time otherwise we would've been there an hour earlier because we didn't have any other plans that day. They also *NEVER* once put in the email that they changed our flight from a 16 minute flight to a 30 minute flight, forcing us to pay extra or we miss it with no refund. Justice was also very hostile & aggressive like Brad was with us, until my buddy called him out for it. & The fact that Justice had the audacity to lie to us and said "honestly this has never happened before" then we see it has happened to others in so many reviews after the flight, is crazy.

It's really kills me to write this review but at this point it's necessary. If you're either a photographer, or overweight person, avoid this place at all costs. I had been following this company since around 2014 and it became a bucket list goal of mine to come shoot photos with them. Now - the day of my flight, I show up, check-in, get weighed, no issues, go put my harness on (with the incredibly rude guy working back there who was clearly in a fight with his boss). Then during the safety briefing, in front of 20 strangers, a random employee comes over and points at me and loudly as possible says "we need to weigh you again". Now... as a bigger man who had lost a substantial amount of weight before booking this flight... it's not a great thing to have somebody call you out in front of 20 strangers for your weight... especially when you've already been weighed and cleared. They re-weigh me and send me on my way. Now, as a photographer, I'd paid the extra $200 to have the "guaranteed shoe selfie seat", not because I wanted to stick my feet out of the helicopter, but because I didn't fly 3000 miles to get stuck in their middle seat and have my view obstructed. BUT... 2 hours of waiting later right as we're getting on the helicopter, the pilot says "due to your weight you need to sit here"... in the "pocket"... undoubtedly the worst seat in the helicopter. I told him I'd paid extra to have an end seat and that nobody had said anything about it being an issue, and he just laughed and said "either get in that seat or don't get on". Now... again, after flying 3000 miles for the sole purpose of shooting these photos, I wasn't going to just bail right then. I took the flight, frustrated the entire time, photos sucked, go figure. I can honestly forgive all of that... but here's the real issue... I spoke with a manager before I left, he made some dumb excuse but apologized and promised a full refund, I shook his hand and chalked it up to a rough experience. BUT... GO FIGURE... here we are a month later... no refund. These guys took every cent of my money, embarrassed me in front of 20 strangers, scammed me by taking my money for the seat upgrade then stuck me in the worst seat possible, then lied to my face about giving a refund. If that's not a scam, I don't what is.

Not exactly sure why so many negative reviews. But here is mine. Weather: 90F in august. Feel at 2000 feet was warm you would not be cold with a tshirt and shorts. Anything lower felt like ground level heat. Very warm. So this gives you an idea what you should wear. Arrived an hour and change as stated, got taken to a conference room to watch the safety video, then walked back to the lockers to lock up our things. Quickly we were sorted with our harness and ready to roll. Minimal conversation no hassle. We were taught how to do an emergency pull from our harness tether and walked out to the van to take us to the helipad. Once at the helipad we greeted our pilot he gave a quick run down of what's to happen. We walked between the blue safety corridor which are just some lines on the ground as he explained to us a little bit more what was to happen. They seated us according to our weight and unfortunately my partner got the short end of the stick as she is half of anyone's weight there and sat between myself and another person. The helicopter has 5 seats on the back and two at the front. There are two seats behind the pilot facing the back of the helicopter. They are separated and there is no small middle seat. However the seat directly behind the pilot doesn't get shoe selfie as it's closed off and you're looking through a window! So in reality only 3 people get to feel freedom on the back and then obvious the lucky person at the front. The seats facing the front fits 3 people. The middle seat sucks. I am sorry if you get stuck there. You cannot see out of the helicopter the way the edge seats do. I would recommend paying for the guaranteed seating if you're light weight. The fit for all 5 is tight so you will have your legs in between someone else's leg Further tips would be to not tighten your three point seat belt too tight as you want to rotate 90 degrees to get you shoe selfie. You won't fall out and the pilot doesn't bank heavily either. All in all would do it again maybe a private one for better comfort.

These guys were great. Amazing experience. Granted you have to go te jersey, it's still worth it because it's a pretty reasonable commute during non-rush hour times. The staff were very helpful, Colleen was my liaison and she answered all of my questions and made a nervous first-time flyer feel at ease. Kevin walked us through the safety briefing and got us dialed in as well as good conversation on the van ride. My pilot was very professional. I got the privilege of riding as copilot so I had the full view. They fly Bell helicopters which are some of the safest. They make sure that they give you opportunities for pictures on both sides of the aircraft so fret not, you will get that photo op. All in all a great experience and completely worth the drive and commitment. 10/10 would do it again. Thanks Nicole.

I was not impressed. 15 minutes to fly over the Statue of Liberty and past the manhattan buildings once for $800 (family of 4). Not worth it honestly. I can find way better ways to spend this amount of money. When I did a downtown Los Angeles helicopter tour, we flew in and out of the skyscrapers. It was incredible! This was super anticlimactic and disappointing. Perhaps there is a Manhattan air space law? But regardless this was a letdown and nothing was ever explained . Plus our pilot literally did not talk. He gave us a safety briefing and nada after that. No commentary of what we were looking at, no fun facts, just silence. I would skip this of all the things to do in NYC

Samuel, our pilot! He was amazing up there! Kept us safe and made sure we hit all the spots for the best photo ops!

10/10 a must! Experience is unlike any other! Tips: -Book the 15min tour but definitely take the offer to upgrade to the 30min tour once you get to the main office! It's worth it and cheaper to do in person than online. As of 2024--we paid $125 each to upgrade. They offer it to you after you've signed the waiver and are weighed etc. Either way. It's a luxury once in a lifetime experience, do it for the memories that'll last you a lifetime! -we paid for the shoe-selfie guarantee, but if I were to do it again, I'd opt out. Here's why: no matter what--their safety protocols will outweigh any guarantee. They weigh every one --there are 6 seats (not including the pilot)... then a computer (AI) calculates the weight of everyone on board and generates the weight distribution. -there are 2 "bad" seats and it's the one behind the pilot and the middle seat facing the front. The best seats are behind the co-pilot seat, co-pilot seat, and the back front facing pilot seat! You will still be able to get some shoe selfies behind the pilot even tho it's in a pocket corner. The middle seat is by far the worst... -you are allowed up to 2 recording devices. No lenses or lens changes while on the tour. I got a gimbal for nothing as my iPhone worked perfectly fine! They provide the safety harness for ur devices. I'm sure the it's included in the price u pay but they say it's free of charge. -make sure you arrive an hour and half before your tour begins or you will be charged a late fee. They remind me the night before and will also inform you of any flight time changes so check ur email! -the staff at the office are nice funny and helpful! The only one that seemed a little "funny" was the guy handling the merchandise. He was well built and had tattoos... he just seemed really disinterested and bothered by everyone. The other people were so friendly and easy to approach! Just avoid him but maybe he was just having an off day. Mentioning it as I know some introverts are sensitive to these sort of ppl and it could ruin their overall experience. But it didn't bother me at all! -if you have week spindly legs.... You won't be able to stick our legs out of the helicopter! lol it's just cuz the wind is super strong so keep that in mind... it's not as easy as it looks but doable if you have enough leg muscle to keep steady. -don't waste your time and just keep ur feet out and take as many pictures as u can! It goes by fast because of the thrill of it all! -dont wear loose clothing and keep ur hair neatly secured. If you're a lady--tie it up. If ur a fella--wear a beanie as hats are not allowed. Or if u have longer hair, use a hair tie. -they sell merch. Have a budget of $50+ if you plant on getting souvenirs. They could honestly be a lot better but if you're a merch collector like me, you'll end up getting a shirt. Thats about it. All in all? Would definitely recommend it. It's expensive but worth it! Save up if you need too so you can enjoy it without feeling remorseful about the cost... remember that helicopter flights are a luxury and a privilege--not for everyone so if you can't afford it... skip. But save for next time!

Apologies as this has been sitting as a draft review from June 2022. My dad bought us once in a lifetime seats for the Warriors v Celtics finals as a bucket list trip, but we were stuck at JFK all day due to security ground stops in Boston. We flew in the night before, but after 8 hours of flight delays and 2+ hours back and forth on the tarmac, we needed to find a way to Boston in spite of all rental cars and train seats being sold out. We were desperate! I called around and no charter could get us to Boston. We are by no means ballers, but I fly small planes as a hobby, so I called a dozen FBOs and Wings Air was the only answer to our prayers. They managed to get us to a nearby regional airport with only one hour notice, and arranged a car to bring us to TD Arena in time to watch most of the game where we wound up winning. Thank you so much for coming through when no one else could. This is a memory we will cherish forever.

Things happen, they had a more important flight to take care of, which is understandable...but the followup service with this company offers more spin than a rotor blade. Management only offered a 3 week window to rebook our flight, heading into the holidays. When asked to provide a longer window to rebook my time, they just provided more information on why I should have been prepared for this to happen, like it was my fault. I would keep your expectations grounded with Wings. EDIT - Manager's desperate reply with erroneous details below should tell you all you need to know. Our flight voucher was valid and they accepted it...until they didn't. Beware.

Did they wanna go with me for this one??? Nooooo lol. I wanted to make sure I was over NYC at night to see the beauty of the city lights. So we had to drive to Liberty Helicopter's Kearny NJ heliport for the $200 City Lights Tour. This tour was WELL WORTH IT! My wife was on the ground watching me lift off haha. The tour lasted about 15-20 minutes and I sat upfront with the pilot. This was such a smooth and breath-taking experience. The staff was awesome..especially "Q" who made us all feel relaxed before the big event with his information about visitors' perspectives from around the world and had explained how much of a "family" atmosphere this Kearny heliport is as compared to the NY heliport. Now I'm currently training for my instrument rating with NYC Air Service and I highly recommend them for flight training or scenic trips around the Manhattan skyline. Their instructors are great and provide a unique training atmosphere. They are always available to answer any questions you may have. Their fleet of aircraft are maintained very well, always clean and some of the best to learn on.

We arrived late which was our doing since we left a little later than expected. When we got to the front desk, my grandfather backed out sadly, and did not want to go. The employee Georgie there was super sweet and nice, but the owner I'm guessing, Vincent, he had no understanding whatsoever. He was an older gentleman, and when I told him about trying to reschedule or something because of my grandfather he just smirked and told me they can't do anything, and I could come alone if I'd like. Out of human decency, I decided not to fly by myself, and comfort my grandpa which Georgie was kind enough to help me with. To Vincent, it is not about the money, it's about the morals you have as a person. I don't care about your policy, I've had many companies with strict policies help in serious circumstances. You are just a money hungry snob, by how you perceived yourself.

Throw in their tactics of "save this much if you book today" -but conveniently every day is a sale. Despite what you choose after your safety video-they hassle you to get the more expensive package. Don't bother. The only real choice to be made is either doors on or off. Their extra couple minutes flying-not worth it. Trust me, we've done both options absolutely NO DIFFERENCE. From the minute we walked in-we are asked why we didn't chose the more expensive package. Guy in front says "if it's money, we'll work with you on the price"...apparently the next pushy person we dealt with didn't get that memo because despite the number of people in our group-they didn't "work" with us on anything. They were quoting the same price differences we saw online. Thanks my guy for insulting my intelligence. Oh and despite unclicking the checkmark on their website to avoid solicitation emails-they will still email you everyday for the "sales". Because every day IS a "sale" because they want you to believe what an amazing deal they're offering you! Yeah, sure! Oh and read up on this company. They will offer you another flight at another date, but you're out of luck if you're from another country or state. They will NOT give you a refund so you'll be $1000 out of luck. Notice they don't accept credit cards (because you can actually dispute CC charges). Eventually, if you argue long enough, they may offer to cancel on another family to accommodate you. So my only option is losing $1000, or screwing over a bunch of stangers? They obviously don't care about their customers. Look at the reviews. Not a rare occurrence Total scam artists, predatory crooks.

Upon arrival my fiancée and I were greeted by our pilot, Mark, as well as the owner and his wife. Very friendly and made us feel welcome! We didn't waste much time, and I had the privilege of watching pilot Mark do his pre-flight. He was very thorough and I could tell the bird was immaculately maintained. Shortly thereafter we were strapped in and on our way! Having only been my 2nd helicopter flight, I was geeking out the whole time, and Mark was on top of his game. Soon we were circling around the statue of liberty and on our way up the Hudson. Great views of the Freedom Tower and we went north, uptown and over the GWB before starting our return to Pittstown. Landing was flawless, came in with plenty of ground speed before smoothly exiting the active and calling it in. Pro. Pictures and words don't do it justice, this was one of the greatest experiences of my life!! Highly recommend stopping in for a quick flight (or lessons, or a license)!

Because of the reviews about the instructors...I went with the further location. Wade Krepps was our pilot and he was absolutely amazing. Off the bat, you can see his passion for flying and was easily sociable. My bf was nervous at first but with Wade's positive feedback and encouragement made the flight an excellent experience. Thank you Wade, you've made this experience a very memorable one. We will definitely recommend to our friends and family! OH! And the owner, Maria...was easily reachable. She gave me her personal number because I was a little worried about the weather last week. Also, we were running 10 minutes late. She was very accommodating about it as well.
