I've worked in the customer service industry, and I have never experienced a company that resolves issues so quickly. Major thumbs up and thanks to Kevin! Because of him, I'll be booking their helicopter flight for my sister's family when they visit. Here are the details: I received an email the night before my booked flight stating that, due to maintenance, the flight needed to be canceled. I didn't see the email until I got a text on the day of the flight. No problem--Kevin came to the rescue. I quickly called Heliflights and explained to Kevin that I would lose out on using a Groupon because it was set to expire the following Tuesday. In addition, I had trouble receiving an email to reset my password, which I needed in order to reschedule. Within two minutes, Kevin rebooked a flight for me. While explaining the details, he also managed to send me a confirmation email of our agreement (honoring the Groupon after the expiration date) and another email to reset my password. That's problem-solving skills and customer satisfaction all done with efficiency--and without me spending more time on the phone or computer. Thank you again, Kevin, and thank you, Heliflights! read more

My husband and I did the private 30 minute Manhattan doors off tour and absolutely LOVED it! It was the highlight of our vacay in NYC! The hangar was easy to find and we were greeted by Kevin. He was very helpful in explaining all the safety stuff and leading us into/out of the helicopter. Dave was our pilot who kept us safe and pointed out the iconic landmarks and buildings. He was great at communicating when it was safe to hang our feet out of the helicopter and assured us we would be fine since it felt scary to do at first! The hangar has a little waiting area with comfy couches, lots of TVs, free water, and drinks for purchase. The restroom is in a bigger building which Kevin drove us in a golf cart to. Lockers are available to keep your belongings. Don't forget to read the website thoroughly! And don't forget to tip your pilot for being awesome! For anyone staying in/near Times Square: Heliflights is located in Linden, NJ which is approximately 25 miles from Times Square which is where we were staying. Since I didn't want to be late, we took an Uber that cost over $100. We got dropped off at the Starbucks nearby to grab coffee first which appears like it's a short walk from Heliflights but it's definitely a little journey to walk! You have to walk down an industrial street and directly in the sun. I 10000% recommend booking this amazing experience with HeliFlights! read more

We did their private NYC tour for 30 minutes, for three people. The helicopter is a little tight. Kinda high to get into. I was wearing a knee brace. A few steps would have made it easier. They operate out of two bldgs. The main hangar area where the restrooms are. You will ride a golf cart to your helicopter. The main bldg marked by Hangar 400 is where you lounge, go over the safety video, etc. Our pilot was very safe. There was some turbulence due to high winds but he kept things steady. The ground crew let us take photos before and after. Everyone of their staff is very kind and accommodating. The pricing was $599 + $25 per person on site fee ($75). Total was $675 + tip ($45). We had a really good time. It was kinda short over the NYC part mainly due to round trip from Linden. The desk staff suggested opting for the 1 hour influencer pkg (you can pick sites to fly over). Which we will do next time. read more

HeliFlights continues to fly dangerously low over residential homes, disrupting lives. This is heliflights helicopter #N644PC on 12/28/25 at 4:46 PM flying dangerously low and loud over Staten Island. This is dangerous for everyone involved, extremely low flying like this does not allow proper time for malfunction correction endangering all lives. read more

I cannot recommend Heliflights enough! I wanted to surprise my partner with something crazy for their birthday, so what could be better? I purchased a flight for the VIP Manhattan tour and opted to keep the doors on, but later upgraded to doors off when we arrived. After checking in, we watched a safety video and received our inflatable vests for the ride. They provide lockers for leaving your items behind, if necessary, or you can leave them in the car. I am so glad we did the doors off tour, it was like nothing else. Our pilot was informative and made sure we had an extremely safe flight. This was an experience to remember and makes a perfect gift for any adrenaline junky. read more

A bucket list item checked off!! A great experience and highly recommended!! We got the Manhattan vip doors off experience from Groupon and it was easy to redeem online. They book up early so plan ahead. I'd love to go back and do a sunset or night one one day!! The check in process was seamless. It was easy to find (straight up route 1 if you're in Jersey), plenty of parking, a private hanger and you go over the safety info then there's a locker for your items then ready to go, the staff are friendly. They let you (they go slower) stop and put your feet out twice. Once by the park and once by the Statue of Liberty, I did think they were going to get closer to the buildings (others pictures they look like they're right on top of the city) I would assume because it was windy our trip we didn't. We did cross over Central Park though. read more

What an AMAZING experience. My son wanted to do this for aerial photography. Even though I'm acrophobic, I said OK. When we first arrived, they were turning a couple away because they were 30lbs over the weight limit! While I felt bad for them, I felt so reassured that they take safety seriously! Kevin checked us in and he was professional and wonderful! We upgraded to the "doors off" option and it was worth it! After the first few minutes, our pilot, James, was able to put me at ease. We saw unbelievable views of Central Park, the bridges and Lady Liberty! He was such a pro and I just kept repeating WOWIWOWOW! I would definitely do this again! read more

Booked a VIP 1/2 hour Manhattan tour and it was great. They are very professional. Our pilot was great. He gave us a great tour of Manhattan pointing out all the key attractions and getting us close to all the key sites. We are New Yorkers born and raised in the Bronx so touring Manhattan thru helicopter to see the Statue of liberty and other key sites was great. We did doors on but my husband said he would DEFINATELY do doors off in the summer. I totally recommend this tour it was a great experience. We felt completely safe with our pilot. read more

Chris was our pilot. He was awesome! What a beautiful day it was and Chris explained all the sites we were coming up to. I am so happy that we went on this flight. What an amazing experience! You must try this at least once in your lifetime. This should be on your bucket list!! The staff are nice. It is a family-owned business. Both son (Kevin) and father (boss) are very accommodating and super nice. Both pilots are very energetic and funny. We booked the door on (VIP Manhattan) but ended up upgrading to door open which was no regret. I am coming back for a night view. read more

Hands down the most adventurous experience ever. We flew with the doors off and it was absolutely exhilarating. The staff are very welcoming, reassuring, and professional. I was a bit nervous but they do a fantastic job explaining what to expect/ safety guidelines. The pilot also communicates with you during the flight and explains the history/ fun facts of famous landmarks. He also slows down the helicopter to allow you to stick your feet out. The entire flight is 30 minutes - and it literally flies. So worth it!! read more

The staff there were so professional and really welcoming. The check-in, wait time, and start of the trip was so stream lined. The support staff was so cool and knew what they were doing. What can I say about this place it was great and very professional. My fiancée has gotten this for my birthday and I was very excited to try it. We were able to both fly for about 15 minutes each. It was great, definitely a worth while experience. Once we got in and checked in they showed us how to operate the helicopter on a dummy model inside the office. Which was helpful and a great learning experience. Once my fiancée flew and did amazing. It was my go and the individuals that led us to fly were very helpful and professional. We got to the helicopter and got in, belted up for safety of course. And we got going. Don't worry you will have one of the pilot trainees with you the whole time. They take off and get you in the air once your up they give you control to make turns and control the helicopter in flight. It's like driving school where he has control as well and will be there along the way. Overall a very cool experience and I throughly enjoyed it. Just wish it could of fit one more and my fiancée and I could have taken some pictures up there together. Overall great experience which was incredible. I would say to anyone that loves soaring in the sky give it a try. read more

I was here on july 4th. Had a great experience. First time riding helicopter and everything was thoroughly explained to us as far as what we can expect. Pilot was very nice. We rode with door off but I am not so sure about door off ride. It was just way too loud and windy without the door(kind of obvious). read more

The overall ride experience is amazing. Booked the 2-person 25min tour on Groupon for 278, which is amazing price. The location is a bit far from where I live in Manhattan, and I was charged $50 "late fee" because I arrived 20 minutes late. Pilot is really nice and I enjoyed the flight! Definitely recommend you guys come here if you wanna a helicopter tour around NYC for a reasonable price. DON'T BE LATE though! read more

Exceptional service, friendly, and professional. We used groupon for $162 per person. It was worth every penny. The helicopter ride was fantastic. Our pilot was from Modesto and he did a phenomenal job of explaining everything we saw in New York City and New Jersey below us. We got to see the Statue of Liberty, Staten Island, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Central Park from the distance. The ride was so smooth and I felt very safe the entire time. Forget venturing up One World Trade Center or Chrysler Building for a "better view" of NYC. This helicopter ride will be the best view and I recommend this to anyone traveling to NYC. read more

Wow I've been in several Helicopter tours, but the level of service with these guys is 5 STAR. Even the wait was entertaining, Kevin and Karen with their reception team was very courteous and attentive. Their CEO Jeff personally drove me to the runway and sat me in ther helicopter. I am busy and would not write a review if there were minor complains. They were: no water on the flight, greedy/overpriced photo policy. My larger complain is extremely rude and unprofessional behavior of the personal. While it may be acceptable in a socialist Romania- it is absolutely not acceptable here in America. Avoid this company- do not spoil your experience and pleasure. Please believe me - I do not write bad reviews lightly. read more

This was my first time on a helicopter and it was the best experience ever. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Took my boyfriend here in June for his birthday -this review is long overdue. I was really nervous about booking because I knew I had to ride along . From the minute we walked through the door we had a warm welcome, we watched a safety video and had some conversation with the staff. They did a great job putting us at ease( boyfriend seemed a little nervous too). Now the helicopter ride was amazing. The Pilot was great, can't remember his name but he had just moved from Cali. Really charming guy, great conversation, knows his stuff, super personable- wish we had an hour up there. All round perfect experience, boyfriend had a wonderful time. I would definitely recommend! read more

It took us a while to get to take the flight - but once we finally did take the flight it was phenomenal. We got in early, so we had our flight a little early. The area we waited in was really nice. The crew is very concerned with safety. Last but not least, the pilot was excellent as well! All's well that ends well! Wonderful experience! read more

I did a flight lesson with Jordan a few weeks ago and he was awesome. I did the extra 15 min to fly over NYC a little further and it was definitely worth it. I never once felt anything other than completely safe and having flown a plane, I like flying a helicopter way better! I'm sure it's in part due to how wonderful this company is. I went when it wasn't fully warm outside but they warm up the helicopter/there's heat so don't worry about that. Anytime you want to take pics, the instructor will take full control so you can snap pics with your phone. I only did this once over the Statue of Liberty because it's so pretty, but I recommend spending more time flying than taking pics -- there's a million stock photos of aerial shots of NYC on Google. I have spent a lot of time in NJ/NY so it was cool to see all of the places I've been from above. Super awesome experience I 100% recommend and would look into doing next time I'm in nyc. If you're going to pay for a tour, may as well do the lesson and be taught how to fly! Don't look anywhere else for your helicopter flight. read more

Booked Heliflights through Groupon and think the 30 min flight time is a good value. First of all, it was a really nice experience flying in a helicopter over NYC at night. The view is absolutely breathtaking. However, during my flight there was another pilot that was being trained which was not ideal. My girlfriend and I were pretty uncomfortable at times because the pilot was constantly telling the copilot to do things differently using technical terminology. This obviously made the experience significantly less enjoyable. I reached out to the company and they offered me a 20% discount on any future flights and I think a flight with Jeff (the owner I believe) would be significantly better experience as seen in the other reviews. read more
