Here are the details: I received an email the night before my booked flight stating that, due to maintenance, the flight needed to be canceled. I didn't see the email until I got a text on the day of the flight. No problem--Kevin came to the rescue. I quickly called Heliflights and explained to Kevin that I would lose out on using a Groupon because it was set to expire the following Tuesday. In addition, I had trouble receiving an email to reset my password, which I needed in order to reschedule. Within two minutes, Kevin rebooked a flight for me. While explaining the details, he also managed to send me a confirmation email of our agreement (honoring the Groupon after the expiration date) and another email to reset my password. My dad bought us once in a lifetime seats for the Warriors v Celtics finals as a bucket list trip, but we were stuck at JFK all day due to security ground stops in Boston. We flew in the night before, but after 8 hours of flight delays and 2+ hours back and forth on the tarmac, we needed to find a way to Boston in spite of all rental cars and train seats being sold out. We were desperate! I called around and no charter could get us to Boston. We are by no means ballers, but I fly small planes as a hobby, so I called a dozen FBOs and Wings Air was the only answer to our prayers. They managed to get us to a nearby regional airport with only one hour notice, and arranged a car to bring us to TD Arena in time to watch most of the game where we wound up winning. Soon we were circling around the statue of liberty and on our way up the Hudson. Great views of the Freedom Tower and we went north, uptown and over the GWB before starting our return to Pittstown. Landing was flawless, came in with plenty of ground speed before smoothly exiting the active and calling it in. Pro.
